Indoors, the 55-200 is going to let you down. It is a variable aperture up to f5.6. Not too fast for low light. You will be working in low light, and need a fast shutter speed for a fast moving subject too. What Nikon is it? I might suggest trying a fixed lens, to get a few extra stops out of the lens.

A couple years back I got some of my motorcycle friends together at Speed's, which was an indoor go-cart race track. They've since gone out of business- but is there anything else like this place? Although somewhat expensive, it filled an adrenaline need, and allowed a bit of trash talking too.

I needs me a $40,000.00 motorcycle that sounds meaner than it rides and looks like a fire truck because I never matured past the third grade. Oh, and make sure the seating position is like a rolling gynocological examination table. That would be sweet.
