I'd spend $10K remodeling my rental house so I can sell it for top dollar, then sell. Then put the ~$60-65k into another house. Fix it up and sell it. Wash, Rinse, Repeat.
In for trackday and races. Gonna run 750/600/600/mini 20. Hoping for good races. Points are tight in the championships, sitting in 3rd only 1 point behind Hollywood for the 600 expert, and currently 1st in the mini 20 only 10 points ahead of Will. Sadly, I have lost the title of Moto Series thread starter.
Ah I see, that's part of the design to come apart in pieces in the event of a crash so they don't break. I bet if you would've zip tied the subframe on instead of using bolts it wouldn't have cracked. Just an idea...
You must have missed the part where he said something about the "new bike" so don't worry. This 2007 was just not able to offer the level of performance a rider like Key Poo needs. The advancements in technology over the last few years will help him squeeze out those extra tenths he's been hunting for.
If you think that subframe is just cracked and not bent horribly I'd be happy to try and tig it for ya. I have a little experience with welding some cast aluminum that came out pretty good. Same for the front fairing stay. I noticed it was in pieces but seemed like they collected all the pieces off the track. And oh ya, you were knocked the fuck out! Sams parents were watching turn 12/13 from their RV and saw you go down. Her dad said you didn't move till well after the paramedics got there. At least a good 4-5 minutes.
Wish I could, I'd like to get a little practice to work on a few things and Mondays are a great day for open track. I'll be flying to Phoenix Mon morning though. How's that elbow doing Matt?
So Sam and her parents were in their RV since it was raining, and watching the race from there. Her dad seemed to know the best what happened, said as you were leaned over in 12 it looked like you lost the rear and it slid towards the outside. Then it caught and turned into the dreaded high side. He said it was pretty obvious you were knocked out cold as soon as you hit. You tumbled a few times like a rag doll and never moved once you stopped. For what it's worth, I still don't recall anything from about an hour before to several hours after my concussion at pirc last year. Don't worry if it doesn't come back.
Good news, glad he's up and moving around. I hate hospitals. Steve if you guys need help getting his stuff to him, loading/unloading or whatever let me know.
Thanks Matt, it felt good to get 3 wins and a 3rd in the 750gt. Never had such a good weekend, but unfortunately it has a dark cloud with Ryan and all. I should be able to meet you guys there Craig and Steve. I might be more like 6:30 but I'm sure that's not a big deal. Anyone know if Ron was able to get a hold of his family?
