  1. So now you have no excuses, get a cheap set of Hot Bodies and we'll see you at a trackday!
  2. Just use the ones that say they're for 06-08, and you'll have to use the 06-08 style windscreen. It all bolts up the same. The only company I know of that specifically makes race fairings for the 09-12 is Sharkskinz and they are $$$.

Does it go uphill under it's own power yet?

I'm mostly referring to Bad's comment that he has very little use for it. I ride my scooter enough that I could see selling it and getting one of these....

$3k for something you use once a year, sounds like a solid investment.

It would be cheating though, it has a 4 speed tranny. Now I definitely need one.

That would be a blast on the Dragon. Not sure what else I would do with it besides...whoolies and burnouts? Almost as impressive as scooter burnouts.
  8. Pretty sure I saw someone on Facebook who just painted their toyhauler a nice red color, lol.
  9. Marty wastes no time going in for the kill. So much for being our "Friendly Neighborhood Photographer" these days. On another note, did you get the bike fixed yet?
  10. You can get in on Friday, a lot of us will likely be there Fri night as well. They do close the gates at some point, but can't remember what time. I know we bitched about it last year and seemed like they kept them open later. They have garages....but only for the kart track. No electric either so bring your genny. The facilities are WAY better than Nelson, the pits and the road in have all been recently repaved, and there are decent bathrooms/showers.
  11. It's not a turbo but...an extra 125cc's should help! http://www.partsforscooters.com/169-215_74mm_Cylinder_Kit?sc=34&category=133366
  12. NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Mods, please delete this thread. I am the official Moto Series thread starter, not this ass clown.
  13. Similiar to when the "new" Shelby GT500 came out in like 05 or 06. MSRP was around $60k, dealer mark ups pushed the price of a lot of them to $100-120k. It was certainly a bad ass car, but no stock mustang on the planet is worth that much money.
  14. Haha thanks for pointing them out. That poor scooter got worked. I don't think it was meant to go that fast around corners on its tiny little tires but it did. I thought I was going to crash and die any time it hit a bump mid-corner, lol.
  15. Hope all of those riding down are being safe, lots of rain everywhere. Glad I reconsidered the whole riding down thing, I definitely don't have the right gear for these conditions. We are around mile marker 29 in Kentucky. GPS has us coming in 129 to 28. Is this what you all are doing or is there a better route to take while towing a trailer?
  16. I think he'd be faster on his mountain bike....
  17. Thanks, this is probably the most useful info in this entire thread.
  18. So this is my first time coming to this event. Anything special I need or should bring? I figure I'll treat it the same as a long track weekend and bring...food, plenty of water, gas, chairs, easy up, tools, rain gear (which I don't have much of) and not sure what else. How long of rides should I be expecting? Should I pack snacks to take along?
  19. Not a bad idea and pretty affordable. Need to come up with a battery backup for it so it doesn't die as soon as the thief disconnects the bike battery.
  20. Got the videos to play here at work. I still need to work on staying on the throttle longer between 3-4, this seems to be where I always get passed. And I know I can brake a little later into 12. Also, your videos had me looking up the whole time trying to see further down the track, lol.
  21. So this has been a complaint of mine all along. Why are the 600/1000 sprints the only ones to run back/back? Even with a regularly scheduled lunch break that still only gives you an hour tops, Not much time to get back out there for race 2 should something happen in race 1. Looking at the schedule the most obvious thing to do would be put 250 race 1 between us and give us at least a little break. Then if something happens in the morning where lunch gets pushed up like it did this round we don't have dead track time trying to give us a break. They could've been running the 250 race 1 between us for our break.
  22. Ya I wish the beacon was working, I would've liked to see my lap times and what lap I was on during the race. I looked at the sheet real quick but didn't happen to catch your times.
  23. Cool, I'm sure I'll see myself in your videos getting passed a couple times. Can't view them at work so I'll have to check them out at home tonight. The round went pretty well for me. Setting sag on the bike definitely helped smooth it out. Had to take out several turns of preload in the front and rear. Helped the bike feel a lot more planted over the bumps and it showed. Set a new personal best of 1:13.125 in the 2nd sprint. Hoping that with a few more suspension tweaks and more time on the new bike I'll break into the 12's next round.
  24. The turn seemed alright other than a small patch of water on the very inside. Stuck around for most of the day but got a little smaller. Otherwise just the usual bumps and patches.
  25. Did you guys get lucky and miss the rain? It was pouring at my house about an hour away.
