  1. legalized gambling doesn't cause obsession any more than legalized handguns cause murder. Addicts and criminals will always find a way. I volunteered once to work a bingo night... that was by far the most depressing and disturbing night ever. And that's legal and encouraged!
  2. I don't trust you!! LoJack doesn't deter theft it helps recover
  3. Speaking of vigilante-ism... anyone see the scripts and programs that let you have your MacBook (with the built in camera) to grab pictures and post them to Flickr if you activate a "stolen" code? IE, I set my laptop to go out to my website and look for 8sdfu9shdf.txt if that file contains the word "Stolen" in it activate the webcam and post pictures every 1 hour with a geolocation stamp It's a cool program, I've setup scripts a long time ago that would wipe my harddrive if it found a keyword in a file on my webhost... but I realized it wasn't really needed lol
  4. Who cares if they hire 100% of the employees from out of state... Ohio would get tax dollars from the employees for income AND for the casinos profits... additionally as you said, people coming in from out of state that are going to work full time are going to buy houses... Let's come back to the main scenarios Worst Cases Scenarios Vote Yes: MAYBE Ohio jobs, tax dollars from casino income, evil LEGALIZED gambling will corrupt our families Vote No: NO jobs, NO tax dollars, evil LEGALIZED gambling prevented
  5. The religious wackadoos care... that's who cares
  6. Brand new still in bag, I went with a different holster. I'd like to get $20 for it, I'd trade/partial trade for a shoulder rig or a good IWB. http://www.desantisholster.com/storefrontB2CWEB/itemdetail.do?action=prepare_detail&itm_id=2056&itm_index=0
  7. I'll go get my citizenship tomorrow and enlist in the IDF... me thinks I'd fail the obstacle course though
  8. μPenis i'll check it out this weekend...taking monday off.
  9. welcome.... why'd you come to Ohio?! have fun!
  10. i'm not sure the drill press goes 88, do you have a mobile tach?? Matt I'll let you know Monday afternoonish, it's no rush... don't need the drill anytime soon lol
  11. statistics can and are used to prove both sides of every argument...
  12. sorry, yah I was looking for micro... I think I'll try to find a local shop on Monday/Tuesday if not I'll just buy on Sears' site... I tried the drill without a capacitor and sure enough it works just like it did before so I'm pretty sure the reason it won't run on high RPM is because the motor doesn't have enough juice by itself... but I'm not electrical enginerd
  13. Plastic with 2 wires coming out of it 250V AC 50/60 Hz 16micro F+/- 5% -25/70 degrees C What I was reading said that once the motor gets up to speed it should cut off power to the capacitor... right? (so not flip off, but it shouldn't have smoked it)
  14. Kind of, it's a Craftsman, pretty old I think. I called their service line but no answer and the Sears parts website only sells the motor, they don't even have the little metal cover OR the capacitor shown on the parts breakout. Checked your link, holy crap that's expensive, everything I was seeing online showed ~6 dollars. I did find this (it's almost an exact copy of the one I need) but I can't find it locally or even know where to go. http://www.made-in-china.com/showroom/yhrelectron/product-detailzeBQTxygHLkj/China-Motor-Run-Capacitor-CBB60-.html
  15. I found this, not sure what installation costs and how this is different for MC http://www.newcarslowestprice.com/lojackdiscountprices.asp Bottom line is, you're paying for piece of mind right? Pay $500 for LoJack now and insurance and then NOT need to pay your deductible. Or pay for only insurance and then pay your deductible. I realize there's some insurance companies that offer discounts for having LoJack, but it would have to be pretty significant to recoup costs short term.
  16. The shop near me has a display setup from LoJack that looks like a little keyfob, but doing some Googlez shows a different look (I wouldn't have expected the keyfob either since it wasn't hardwired at all) But here's the thing, I have a cruiser, so there's not a lot of places to put things anyway. If someone trained installs it and a BG knows I have LoJack they will know of the "standard" places to look right after they steal it. If I install it and a BG knows I have LoJack they will look in the "standard" places but I may not have put it there... I don't know where you're installing it, but what if I stumble upon it while I'm working on my bike... does it SAY LoJack on it (I would hope not!) Brass tacks, I'd rather spend $500 on my insurance deductible than $800 for LoJack plus install (got that from the LoJack website, $200 for install is probably a really high number they use to accomodate the majority of shops(?)
  17. No, because there are 2 scenarios. 1: You install, YOU know the location and every other LoJack certified installed 2: I install, I know the location and noone else. Both assume I don't tell anyone I have LoJack installed.
  18. Smoked the capacitor on a hand-me-down drill press today but I'm not where where to go to get a new one. Need a round 16mF 250V AC, any ideas? Also, the issue was that the motor was slow getting up to speed and never really flipped off the capacitor so *pop* Thanks
  19. That's good info, and that helps me with a bit of the concern. But it doesn't matter WHO installed your LoJack if noone knows about it... right? So the installation SHOULD be irrelevant. Also, I'd go insane if there was something on my bike that I knew was there but didn't know where OCD
  20. Man, if Tom Brady bombs again I'm trading him
  21. Not much... you know what really grinds my gears? Untrue, I am a top
