  1. Not to be a dick, if you can't afford gear you shouldn't buy the bike. Now if you make a conscious choice that the gear is less important that's something else... (I choose not to wear my jacket lots of times)
  2. I lock my helmet if I don't feel like carrying it into where I'm going. But that's rare, rather carry my cheap HJC with me than ride home without it and then have to go spend another 80 bucks.
  3. Hey I wasn't alive during WWII as well, but still, if you go off that mindset then you can't hold anyone accountable for slavery now ... so yah, guilty by association
  4. First, plural is "All Y'all" secondly, if you were born in america you get counted as a we
  5. You are absolutely correct, we were horrible to the Japanese Americans.
  6. So on my ride home from work today I saw a teenager (maybe early 20s) stunting on the highway in shorts, tshirt and no helmet. Had a car following/driving next to him so I assume it was a friend videotaping or something. Riding off the side of the bike standing on the ground (whatever that's called)... w/e flashed him a piece sign and kept going. I wish I was in my car so I could have taken a picture.
  7. I probably said something rude... I do that often
  8. Still a very nice grouping! A few things I read say at 25 ft and under you shouldn't line up like "pumpkin on a post" but rather have your front sight centered on what you'd like to hit. Could explain the lower rounds?
  9. Ok, I have to admit, as much as I'd like a shoulder holster, I would not trust my life to ripping open my shirt. Also, that was the funniest demo video I've ever seen.
  10. Come on now, I know enough to know when someone has me on ignore
  11. And also, camps were treated differently. And people were treated differently within the camps. Lots of pictures show tattoos of numbers, this was only in one camp. I REALLY struggle with this. My wife is first generation American on her father's side. He lived in Germany until the start of WWII when he came over to the USA and fought in the Air Force. But he's from Germany, and he was there... I have ALWAYS had a major problem with Germany, and I still do, but one thing that I spoke to my Rabbi about is I am starting to understand that it wasn't ALL Germans, and there were some that tried to fight it as much as they could, but needless to say it's very difficult for me. In terms of who knew about it and did nothing, a LOT of people, places, organizations, and governments are guilty. But because of their inaction and intense knowledge, you will never find me supporting the Red Cross. I will avoid them if I have any choice in the matter. And yes, if there was a natural disaster here in Ohio and the Red Cross was providing support, if it meant death I would accept support, but up to that, I won't take a dime.
  12. Stalin didn't target people the same way Hitler did. One comment on the whole "why are people hung up on it" aside from the fact that more than 11,000,000 lives were extinguishes (and yes, more than jews, but 6,000,000 jews) also stems from the fact this all happened about 60 years ago. 11,000,000 for reference, would be every resident of New York City and Los Angeles... murdered in the course of 12 years, and for the most part, noone said anything. In most of your parents' lifetimes, >75% of the jewish population in Europe were murdered. Think about that. You're right, Stalin was a bad man too, but because of the shear number of people he murdered people don't dive down into the specifics. Also, Stalin killed a LOT of groups, equally, Hitler didn't. But still, don't ask me to argue who was a better person, that's not possible. Let's talk about dates. (I hat to look these up) Slavery Abolished 1865 Blacks given the right to vote 1870 Women given the right to vote 1920 Holocaust Liberation 1945 You're right, a lot has happened between 1945 and now.... but how many genocides? Darfur? 400,000 people dead and not a lot of people are paying attention over here.

    Ride and Shoot

While I would never condone this activity, I would love to try this in a controlled environment.... really not useful for real life but I just think it's a cool concept. My only issue is that I've never shot with my nondominant hand... I KNOW, I plan on practicing as soon as I pick up my new pistol, but without a throttle lock I gotta think shooting with your left hand is required.
  14. Yah, that was very impressive. Most first timers tend to freak out and over compensate by aiming down or up and flinching before they fire. She did great!
  15. Appreciate the info (I saw a cop when I was coming out of bike night last week)... but I must make fun of you for referring to anyone as "your source" :-D

  18. Man John, I'd hit you but that was just funny.
  19. lol @ poor Ghost with the negative rep already. Last ticket was probably 83 in a 65 down by Polaris.... (in a cage)
  20. That's like the fucking idiots that lined up for blocks and blocks for the 23 cent pizza from Papa Johns after they commented on Lebron "I Own Cleveland's Economy" James.

    Ride and Shoot

Let's add the where you interested in going to the conversation. I like Riverside range in Cuyahoga Falls. Additionally there's an open range somewhere I can't seem to remember in NEO towards the south... but it was members for a long time. Tons of "stations" and a 500/1000 (not sure) yard sniper booth as well.

    Ride and Shoot

Not sure if I should have put this in Firearms or State-Wide meetings. Shamelessly taken as drumbutz posted. Who would like to get together for a ride and some range practice? Any ranges in particular, areas? Let's start talking!

They aren't too bad, I think they vary a lot from batch to batch. Mine was very very reliable, never had a single issue with it. But I wouldn't carry it, too bulky and not sure I'd want to trust it THAT much. That's the same thing I told 1000rrider (the person I just sold it to), keeping it at home in a drawer and to the range is great.
