Thanks for the heads up on the troubles you've had with yours. I read that the SR9 had some issues when it was first released, but they had corrected them. I'll keep a close eye on mine. Taking it tomorrow to shot a hundred rounds or so, on my lunch break. As for the price, I've been seeing them around $429 or $449 new. The guy in Lima that was selling one last week on the Gun Listing was asking $400 for his and sold it within a couple days of placing of the add.

I've shot the M&P and the XD. Out of those , I bought an XD40 Subcompact. Vance's has it or the XD9 Subcompact for $399 right now. I preferred the XD over the M&P because of the grip. For me it was more comfortable. Plus I like the extended mag!

I've had my Ruger P95 for a while and been really happy with it. Was at a gun show in Cambridge this weekend and there was a booth that had a new Ruger SR9c, two tone, for $400. I've seen them for sale used for that. So I couldn't pass it up. Pic is from Bud's and they have it for $399, but are out of stock.

That might be the show and channel I watched. I was staying at a Holiday Inn in Maine and wasn't sure what channel it was. I was just channel surfing and found it. Was also watching that Top Shot on the History Channel too. It's like Big Brother or Survivor, but all about shooting. It was pretty cool.

Ya I know how it is. I've been going there for years. I mean, it's right here in my home town.

I saw that one the history channel last weekend. They had 5 or 6 different snipers on the show. It was awesome.

I have to work most of the weekend. But since it's here, I may ride out for a few hours.

I took my 9 year old daughter to Ohio Valley for the first time about 3 months ago. I let her shoot my 9mm and 380mm. Meanwhile I had rented a Ruger SR9C to try it out. I also let her shoot it. They never said anything to me, about not letting her fire it. As for my other kids - 5, 3, and 4 months.....they have not been to the range yet. But they do know about my guns, and ammo. They know not to touch them. I even have an old pellet pistol that looks like a real gun. Every once in a while I leave it laying around as a test. They kids come and tell me that I left my gun out. So they pass. So far they have never touched it. The real guns are in quick access safes around the house, or on me.
