  1. I know that the City of Columbus charges a fee if the emergency squad comes to your house, don't know if they charge you for a fire run. Not really sure why the fee is charged (other than a way to increase revenue), but I'm going to do some intarwebs searching.

    A Single joke

you know you're no good if your hand falls asleep...
  3. Don't attempt cooking when you're drunk. That's what Le Chateau Blanc is for...
  4. Still feeling like a after reading about that Ct. family that was attacked by two f-tard pieces of sh!t. Sorry. Won't do much good if you're out of town. Jus' sayin'. Mine are wired into the security system - they call me first, if no answer or I tell 'em send the cops/fire/emt, then they send help. While I'm feeling snarky:
  5. Dear Forum, I never thought this would happen to me, but I was walking through Wal-Mart.....
  6. Good for you! I drag ass around the house on weekends when there's nothing to do...
  7. This is why I have firearms in the house, why I go to the range at least twice a month, have had and continue to take training, and am mentally prepared to use deadly force should it be necessary to protect my son or myself (or my dog....shhhh). Such a beautiful woman and two beautiful girls. 3 lives wasted, and the father's life ruined. Who knows what those girls could have accomplished? Wives, mothers, doctor, business exec -- we'll never know thanks to two complete pieces of garbage. Why did it take the jury 5 hours to come to a verdict? 5 minutes seems like plenty of time to me. Well, now I'm in a great mood. Servers are gonna bounce just for my amusement...

    Burris Fastfire

From what I've read at XD & Glock talk, the Burris, Trijicon RMR, and Docter red dot all seem to be loved by those that have them. They all appear to be about the same size, weight, design -- only variables are warranty and price. If I had a gun that was only going to be used at the range or in competition shooting, I'd look into one of those. For SD at home and for carrying, I'll stick with my Crimson Trace - nothing to fumble with when under duress trying to turn the thing on (can't leave the original rear sight on).
  9. Two Wongs don't make a fight... Sorry, best I could do. In ITIL training all day, and brain's in neutral. ***edit: Damn AZNs, last name's not always the same. Oh well.
  10. I'd say south of campus to German Village, east over to Bexley. Basically a four or five mile radius from Broad and High. To paraphrase Chris Rock, "...In any city, if you find yourself on Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., RUN!..."
  11. Can't help you with the b-ball. Jr. and I play it in the driveway, but that's the extent of it for me. Played at Whetstone Rec all the time back in the day.
  12. Columbus Recreation and Parks Department Recreation Centers (click) Might not be fancy, but will be cheap, if not free. Depending upon which part of the city you visit, muggings included at no cost.
  13. The voices in the background sounded Australian, maybe British. I still can't figure out why some citizens hate all motorcyclists...
  14. They're wearing Buzz Lightyear suits... Pansies...
  15. Ah great, another one of those computer dorks... You know vi?
  16. Aim Surplus in Middletown - sw of Dayton 20 or so miles (click) Wolf brand $3.79 per box of 20 = $227.40 for 1200 Brown Bear $3.99 per box Silver Bear $4.19 per box Federal $6.20 per box
  17. Nope, not going there. Not feeling like a today.
  18. You really need to call TW or Insight. That ping time's awful. I assume you haven't done anything to your router, like try to set QOS or anything that you might have messed up, right? Assuming No, call them. They need to fix that. Try plugging straight into the cable modem and see what your speed is -- at least you can rule out (or in) the router.

    We dey!

Just got back. Luxury boxes are the way to go, fer shure (thank you from a vendor I spent a lot of my company's money with). The stadium is very nice. They REALLY shoulda planned how you get from one level to the next A LOT better. Very helpful usherette, though. The tailgate across from Burke Lakefront was interesting - it looked like a war zone after the game; bottles, cans, food, passed-out drunks, seagulls, and smoldering charcoal everywhere. People watching: Mullets, body odor, missing teeth, big beer guts, foul-mouthed, 2-3 day's worth of stubble, and spent most of their welfare check on Browns gear. And the male Browns fans were even worse! People on 71 cannot drive, of that I'm convinced. Move your f*cking car over to the right lane. There's no reason in hell that the leftmost of 3 lanes should be moving at 60.
  20. Just an FYI that no one will tell you about: If you're moving into the Big Walnut School District, be prepared for a "School District Income Tax", 3/4 of 1% of your income. Even my tax attorney/CPA missed it the first 2 years I was here. Nice little letter from the State of Ohio, Department of Taxation reminded/informed me of it...
  21. Insight (RoadRunner) Turbo - usually between 14-15 Mbps, little faster this morning. Just got a new modem yesterday - the old one stopped working. That's the only issue I've had in the 6.5 years I've had it. I'm in Galena, so it's the only choice out here - no DSL.
  22. Dad's pimp hand is strong! Maybe ask "the woman he keeps around" what her thoughts are? She might have some insight. Of course when they were around, my folks were of no help as to what to get the other for birthday/Christmas (that's Navidad to you )
  23. 2003 3/4 ton, 4x4, quad cab, 5spd auto, 108,xxx miles here. Mobil 1, K&N oil filter every 4,500 - 5,000 miles New paper air filter (whatever's cheapest) every 15,000 (every third oil change) Tranny flush/filter, front/rear diff change every 35,000 with synthetic. Brake pads at 75,000 One headlight bulb, 2 cab roof marker bulbs, two of four tailight bulbs, and both license plate bulbs replaced Haven't touched plugs/wires -- last I checked at 105,000 they were gapped within spec and clean. No problems (knock on wood) whatsoever, except the check engine light's been on ever since I put the locking Mopar-brand gas cap on. The fuel door doesn't lock, and when gas went to $800 a gallon I figured someone might want to steal, so I locked 'er up. That's the only code it's throwing, so I just ignore it.
