  4. If his is an "old man's bike", does that make mine a "grandpa's bike"?
  5. Thief! @PhilS: Your bike puts out a fair amount of horsepower (~100), and a lot (~80 lb/ft) of torque; more than plenty for the street, and doesn't need to be revved to 10,000+ rpm to find it. It has "usable" power. For the track, no, not enough. It's more fun to ride a "slow" bike fast than a "fast" bike slowly. The insurance is probably the same as a 600cc sport bike, if that's a consideration. If you're wanting a lighter weight bike, there's not much that can be done to lessen the weight. You could try converti-bars/suburban machinery/heli-bars: all will allow you go from clip-on style to your current upright seating position in a matter of minutes. Like Fazer1 said, you will probably miss the comfort of your bike if you go to a "true sportbike".
  6. 3 more here, it's now 724 - 625 in favor of the good guy!

    Geek jokes

    Beat me to it, but I was gonna say "there's no place like ~". $cat "food in cans" $cat: can't open food in cans $man why did you get a divorce $man:: Too many arguments. $%blow $%blow: No such job. Good *nix commands: date; unzip; touch; strip; uptime; finger; mount; gasp; yes; umount;
  8. l0phtcrack (yes, it's back) (not free any longer) cain (free) or good old chntpw (don't crack, just change) (free) all are only for the local accounts on a machine.
  9. If you figure/find out the basic one, the rest are easy variations... Good luck! The big money account has no online access, and any transactions have to be approved by an SVP at the institution where the funds reside. Like I said, no worries. However, if I get signed up for some Eastern European tranny site: "Cheech, you got some 'splaining to do"...
  10. Exactly - no outside code review. I suppose it would be easy enough to install it, put in a password to a site that doesn't matter, leave the app running/enabled, and sniff packets, but I don't feel like doing it. Probably benign software, but I'm not trusting the ability to access my money, utilities, etc. to it. I have one basic password that I vary just enough site-to-site to make it (in my mind) secure "enough", yet easy to remember. If I get hacked, so be it.
  11. Anyone from Columbus remember Qube? Specifically channel P10? 59 seconds of happiness for a 13 year old (plenty of time ). If you figured out the "safety pin" trick you had all the fellas in the 'hood over to watch whenever the 'rents were gone...
  12. Closed-source. I'll stick with the yellow Post-it note on the monitor like all of my co-loafers at work...
  13. Don't avoid the deal - they (the NRA or any other organization) will call you regardless of whether you paid full boat or not. Proper use of your Google Voice number will fix any nuisance calls you wish to avoid...
  14. XD slide releases are on the left side only. Thumb safety (optional on the .45 ACP only (I think)) is ambi.
  15. I know the XD has ambi mag release, can't speak for the others. You're asking the "twin Glock 40's" guy that question? My advice - get to a range and shoot before you buy. As has been said, if you don't like it and/or don't feel comfortable with it, you won't carry it. If you're ever in the C-Bus area you're welcome to try my XD Service models in 9mm and .45 ACP.
  16. Lotion? Check. Tissues? Check. Fapping commences in 3...2...1...
  17. "...Rated PG-13 for disturbing violent content and terror, some sexual references and thematic material." Guess not. Steee-rike 3.
  18. BUT... various degrees of hot chicks, guns, machetes, explosions, assorted forms of fu, and our very own Cheech (I think, still not sure), what more could ya want?
  19. Straight left is usually not enough finger on the trigger. Left and down a little (8 o'clock), tightening fingers (anticipating recoil). Left and a little more down (7 o'clock), jerking or slapping at the trigger. Have him try some snap caps for dry fire practice.
  20. Saw an ad for this last night. Comes out Friday. Looks, well, maybe stupid BUT: - Directed by Robert Rodriguez (Sin City, Grindhouse) - (one of the) Producers is Quentin Tarantino - Stars: -- Danny Trejo -- Steven Segal -- Michelle Rodriguez - single fap -- Cheech (either our very own or the other famous one - I'm not sure which) -- Jessica Alba - triple fap -- Bobby DeNiro -- Lindsey Lohan - depending upon drugged-up status, either single, double, or triple fap -- Rose McGowan - single fap, except years ago when she showed up at some awards thing in a chain-mail dress - that was double fap material Drug lords, illegal aliens, kung fu, machete fu, assassinations... - Plot, per IMDB: The highly skilled Federale Machete is hired by some unsavory types to assassinate a senator. But just as he's about to take the shot, he notices someone aiming at him and realizes he's been set up. He barely survives the sniper's bullet, and is soon out for revenge on his former employers, with the reluctant assistance of his old friend Cheech Marin, who has become a priest and taken a vow of nonviolence.
  21. Looks like an NGK DR8ES plug is the consensus from teh intarwebs. Consensus also says 15/16" or 24mm socket. Gap is 0.026 YRMV.
  22. People use multiple related terms in their searches for better results: Frick and frack Baseball, hot dogs, apple pie, Chevrolet Quickzx9r and LBTS They all go together...
  23. You're the Rush fan, right? Meh, you didn't miss nuthin, the concert sucked balls, my dog can play drums better than Neil and sing better than Geddy.
