Good school. 'Grats on getting in. I know this will sound preachy, but if you've got all that time to kill, you <could> see if there are other things you could be doing, e.g. compiling call stats for the sup's, stuff they have to do but don't want to do, just ask them if there are other things you could do to help out. When (not IF) the time comes that they need to promote someone, guess who's going to get asked? The kid in school who asks to take on additional responsibilities, or the kid in school that's playing games? Once you graduate, if you're the "go-getter", maybe they offer you a "real" job making "real" money. And I am in NO WAY demeaning your current position whatsoever. I've had plenty of interns work for me through the years, and have offered some of them full time gigs making great money for a 22 year old. The rest: "Thanks for interning, but I've got nothing for ya", even if I did. Try to stand out, in a good way. It'll pay off, guaranteed.

4.0? No? Hmmmm. And if the supers don't care (they probably do, but aren't under any heat for missing call answer times) you can bet that the manager does. But, do whatcha want. And "football factory" was meant with all due respect - something my pop used to say. He got his Ph.D there, so I figured it's OK to call it that if he did.
-
You're in school, right? Studying to be something, I assume, not still in general/University studies, or whatever the football factory calls it these days. So, maybe crack open a book and study? If you must get on teh intarwebz, I'm sure there are lots of forums dedicated to your field of study. I would think that if your supervisor/team lead/whatever catches you studying there would be no repercussion. Same person catches you playing games, hello double-secret probation. Next stop: UDF, looking for a job. Just sayin'...

Trichloroethylene (tri-chlor, TCE). Guaranteed that your grease goes bye-bye. Non-flammable. Use in an open/vented space - it's an anesthetic. The safety nazis will tell you that if you feed a gallon of it to a mouse, the mouse will get cancer, so it's not as easy to find these days.

Try all the windows and doors first. Maybe one's unlocked? Option 2: Rock v. window

Dammitall - I was gonna bring the old school Variflex Hirsch with my Indy 169 stage 2's and Dogtown K9's. And wear my Rector gear, of course...

Since the egg-donor doesn't think that Jr. should be on the bike, I'll bring the 3/4 ton and act as crossing guard...

Newer than 7 years old... Cisco acquired Linksys in 2003. Flash it with Tomato, turn it into $600 switch...

Gotcha. he confused " . " with " <space> w i n g . "

Did you mean "laugh"? I can see how "e f t" could be confused for "a u g h" when typing...

Go to HomeDepot/Lowes/Sears/WalMart. Buy a mower and a rake. Rake leaves, mulch with mower while mowing grass. Or, do you just not want to do it yourself? Hell, I'll load up my tractor and rake and do it for you, for a fee. How much yard is there? I can probably get there tomorrow - today's pretty much booked.

Did you receive a "survey", or a "what the hell are you trying to pull" letter? Makes a difference. Survey: "Rate your experience with the BMV on a scale of 1 - 10".. WTF are you trying to pull letter: "WTF are you trying to pull? You expect us to believe someone gave you a motorcycle for free???" I would consult an attorney (maybe Redkow, attorney in training, can chime in). My guess is that you will need to report the actual selling price, pay the tax, pay the fine. If you 'fess up, adult-up, and pay you can probably avoid being charged with misdemeanor/felony tax evasion. Probably.

I've played The Ocean Course a bunch of times. Very nice, well conditioned. think Muirfield with an ocean. The wind can be a bit fun in the afternoon, so try to get out before 10. Plus it can get warm. Don't worry about the gators - they're all over the place but I've never seen them move. Not stupid hard as long as you don't try to do things you can't at, say Blackhawk.. Not quite Pebble, if you've played there, but the experience is somewhat the same (ocean, wind, beautiful). It'll be closed for a week in June and another one in August, so check before you schedule. Turtle Point has really small, fast greens, it's a Nicklaus course, so . Cougar Point - what a rip-off. No cougars anywhere...! Haven't played Osprey Point or Oak Point. Great places to eat in Charleston, not so much in Kiawah.

NOOO!!! @ David: I'm sure they're beautiful balls, just don't wanna see 'em...

I've had P2V fail exactly twice on me. If it gets past 2%, it's gonna work. I've converted at least 100 physical boxes, no problemo. Are you extending the schema to 2008? Hopefully not until ALL boxes are 2008... So you don't have maintenance with RIM now, I take it? Software's free if you do. I could help you out with that - it's the SRP that you're really paying for anyway. RIM will sell you a temporary SRP (90 days?) for $750~ish that would allow you to build the new '08 box and pop the latest BES on it. If you do have maintenace, you can call them and whine/beg and they'll usually give you one for free. Sounds like I need to join this lunch and/or schedule a site visit to assist with P2V. @MATT: Sorry we've jacked your thread. To your original question: Logging doesn't add enough overhead that you'll notice, unless the box is old and underpowered anyway. the only gotcha is if you're not careful setting it up, you can fill your drives up pretty easily. Just go into IIS Mangler and config it to keep x side/days of logs, whatever you require SOX-wise.

Simple to do. - install P2V on the target - clone it to your VC or ESX box ----make sure you either: don't have the nic connected OR don't set it to start up the clone when done cloning - schedule 15 minute outage (or do this at 6AM Saturday/Sunday when no one will notice a lack of mail flowing to their device - down the original - bring up the clone - assuming you have a device on the server, send yourself an e-mail. - if it worked, you're done (well, except for VM tuning, VC stuff like vmotion, etc) - if it didn't work, troubleshoot: ----make sure the BES account has send/receive/administer rights but is not a domain admin ----verify the SRP is valid ----make sure you can get to RIM via port 3101 - if it still doesn't work, shut down the guest, bring the original back up, good to go. See? Simple. *edit* Caveat: Make sure you don't have two BES boxes up with the same SRP: the second one up will start working fine, but the box that had the SRP first will stop working. Caveat: When you bring up the new BES, you'll notice all of your user license keys work fine. This DOES NOT mean you can buy a 20 pack and install it more than one server. Sure, it'll work, but that's stealing....

Durability? Couldn't tell you, but it (the Fastpack) seems well made. Cortech/Tourmaster stuff is always well made, too. Size/capacity: 8 liters (Fastpack expanded), 16/18 for the Cortech (normal/expanded). What sold me on the Fastpack was that when not in use it zips down to nearly nothing, whereas the Cortech is 8.5" tall.

You have two sets of handlebars: the ones you grab on to, and your eyes. Wherever you look is where you go. If you see a patch of gravel/sand and fixate on it (OHMYGOD I DON'T WANNA GO THROUGH THAT!!!), guess where you're gonna go? Try maybe looking through the turn, where you want to be in, say 30 feet, instead of 5 feet in front of your tire.
-
+1. Folds/zips down to mebbe 1/2" tall, expands to carry 8 liters of stuff. Nearly invisible when zipped down. $69.95 shipped from Amazon.

The Godz are rock and roll machines.... Used to work with Glen Cataline, long time drummer for them (and author of 714), at Bank One (now JP Morgan Chase). Funny to see him at work in a suit and tie, shaved, and short(er) hair, and a V.P. title, then look at the pics of him and Chatfield, Moore, et al in their 70's long hair, beards/goatees, naked groupies around, etc... I'm going to try to drag the 9 y.o. out to see some metal history.

Remember the G-Force cars? They had some sort of super magnet that allowed them to go at a scale (seemingly) 400+ mph... Took all the fun out of AFX cars, unless they were against each other. Just hold the trigger down the entire time - no need to let up for corners.

Someone (not me) had one of those. I had completely forgotten about it. Fun for about an hour, 'till you break something and your a$$ gets beaten... Kinda like what happened to you. Join the club, my friend.

Been there, done that, got 'corrected'. Memories... Sorry Mom! p.s.: Don't chase the cat with a yardstick and eff with/poke at it (the cat) under the bed. The yardstick just might (read: will) get busted across your ass.
