Some friends built with Schumacher 5 or 6 years back and are still happy with their home. I can vouch for Bob Webb Builders; had one for 7 years. -

Unfortunately Jr.'s in California this weekend and I can barely walk due to my unhappy back/sciatic nerve/whatever the hell it is that's causing immense pain that has all the docs stumped...

"Kimber is the best" "Kimber is the worst" You'll hear both arguments, and you'll hear them about any gun made. I have a Kimber with approximately 600 rounds through it and absolutely no failures. YRMV. I would strongly suggest shooting it before buying it, if possible.
