  1. Sorry for your loss. Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family.
  2. I used one of these on my bike after installing an integrated tail light. http://www.tobefast.com/c-led-electronic-flasher-relay-c-63430-p-1-pr-10001075.html
  3. I've never ate at the restaurant in Delaware, but the one on Polaris parkway has good food.
  4. Anyone know anything about a new motorcycle shop going into the old Hinds location in Delaware? I was driving by there today and it looked like they were doing some work to the place. There was a sign on the front of the building that said Motorcycle Max.
  5. My bad, I thought that you might be able to run the DOS program using a Virtual DOS machine under Windows. Wasn't sure if that would allow it to access the USB bus since Windows would be handling the hardware access
  6. Something like this might work if you can't find an older motherboard with ISA slots. http://www.arstech.com/item-USB-2-0-to-ISA-card-3-connectors-usb2isax3.html
  7. Charity Raffle event. Check out http://thegamg.com/ for more info.
  8. Last year when I tried to register in May for the BRC the classes were booked up until the end of August. I didn't want to wait so I just showed up on the day the class started. Someone that was registered didn't show up so I got to take their spot. As long as you pass the test on the last day of riding they give you your waiver card. Then all you have to do is take the waiver card to the BMV and they add the endorsement to your drivers license. For a small fee of course.
  9. I plan on working towards other certifications, just starting with the A+. I am paying for these out of pocket so I have to do what I can afford. I wish that I could get more on the job experience, but that not possible where I work. Until I can get a position in the field I have to do something to continue my education. Thanks for all the input.
  10. I never said anything about Microsoft being reliable! I just stated that the MSDN has documentation for programming with Visual studio.
  11. When using Visual Studio, MSDN is your friend! http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa983532(VS.71).aspx
  12. I have one and had to send it back shortly after getting it. Something inside overheated and started melting the plastic on the case. It also gives you a nice little shock sometimes when you pick it up. Not sure what causes that, but definitely gets your attention.
  13. That may be how it used to be, but now a degree doesn't guarantee you anything. Many employers are requiring IT certifications, so I figured that I had to start somewhere.
  14. Yeah, I have an in depth A+ cert book that I've been studying. There is a ton of material in the book, I was just wondering how specific the questions were on the exams.
  15. I have a degree in computer science and have some hands on experience. Just haven't had any luck finding a job in the field so I figured getting some certifications might improve my odds.
  16. Anyone on here ever taken the CompTia A+ certifications exams? If so, does anyone have any tips or advice on preparing for these. I will be taking my exams soon and figured that I'd see if any of the IT people on here had any recommendations.
  17. Glow rods are a lot easier to use than fish tape when your not pulling cable through conduit. If you can find someone with a set it will make things much easier.
  18. I've watched a few episodes. Seems like a pretty cool show.
