  1. If it was me I'm move the truck to position the tailpipe right at her door, too close for her to get out, then rev it up to 3k until she drives away. "Revving my engine officer? Yes I was - The engine stalled when i tried to drive away so I pulled into a nearby parking space and let my engine run at high idle to charge the battery." "My truck uses 3 vehicle's worth fuel. You obivously consume 3 people's worth of food. I say we're even."
  2. Having no evidence of guilt is not the same as knowing someone is innocent. Still, the lesson is clear - don't post anything online that you don't want your mother, boss, pastor and enemies to read.
  3. Whenever anyone talks about how good the prius is I point out how the lifetime of a Prius actually pollutes more than the lifetime of a Hummer due to it's manufacturing process.
  4. I wouldn't be amused by someone raping my mother. I'd be all like; "Hey, put her back in the coffin!" Too soon?
  5. ... that you THOUGHT she missed out on ...
  6. Denying it funding and seeing if it fails isn't good either. Instead we audit the school to make sure it's working efficiently.
  7. Meh, send it to Obama. He'll just raise taxes to pay for it.
  8. Was it renewing an existing levy? Therefore not an "increase"?
  9. Really. If he had exculpatory evidence (presumably the basis of his "innocence" assertion) then withholding same would send HIM to jail.
  10. Wasn't it rumoured he bought a house in Columbus while Tressel was hanging on by his fingertips?
  11. Weird. When my son was born he got healthcare first. Water doesn't bankrupt people.
  12. Yes, your taxes paid for mine because I'm an immigrant. Thanks!
  13. Rosati did my windows last year. 13 windows installed for about $7500. 4 had to have tempered lower sashes because they were near the ground, and one had to be fully tempered because it was near a shower. All installed in one day.
  14. Has to be fake. He just ended his career otherwise.
  15. Had directv for about a decade. I watch mostly the discovery group of channels. A little syfy here and there. I don't watch any of the broadcast channels that I can get here.
  16. Hookers and blow. Driving home with my son last night and he started kicking the floor behind me. I said; "Is that you banging?" He said yes. I said; "Good - I thought the hooker in the trunk woke up."
  17. WE'll have to see what is said about what Paterno knew, and what feedback he got from his higher-ups. Maybe he was told the investigation concluded the allegations were unfoudned, or were a misinterpretation of what went on. You have to judge him by what he knew, not by what we know know. There is a lot of anger now that we know more, but before that anger is directed at any one individual then we need to be sure they are deserving. It's all speculation right now, let it play out before we prepare the gallows. If he DID know what was gogin on then he had a moral duty to make sure it stopped, to follow up if he didn't get good answers, to call the police himself if he was sure. BUT if he got one report of some inappropriate conduct, reported it up and was told; "We investigated, wasnt what to looked like, we dealt with it and it won't happen again." then would it be appropriate for him to still go to the police?
  18. I have an electronic keypad safe. When the battery dies there is a panel you pop off and there is a regular mechanical lock you can use instead. Keep the physical key in a safe place and you're good to go. Had the safe for about 5 years and the first set of batteries lasted 3 years.
  19. Still, photoshop aside, aren't there weigh limits? Someone needs to let Jack Sprat know that. I hope he adjusted that rear shock. Or replaced with with an air spring from a Peterbilt. Rough guesses... Bike weighs about 450. Probably has a gross weight of 850. That gives a good 400lbs for passengers. He looks to be about 200, leaving 200 for his demure bride. She looks to be about 300-350. That puts them well over the weight limit of that poor, poor bike. At least they aren't weighed doen by safety gear.
  20. I laughed when I saw a "Vote NO on Olentangy Levy! Stop Wasteful Spending!" yard sign this morning. This person claims to be so in tune with Olentangy politics that he knows what the money is being spent on and that it is being spent in a wasteful manner - but is too out of touch to realize there was NO LEVY on the ballot for Olentangy. Moron.
  21. Both pro and anti sides claimed they'd save public jobs and the other side would lead to layoffs.
  22. Healthcare, education, law enforcement and fire/rescue are fundemental to a well functioning society.
  23. There are problems with socialised medicine too. Neither system is ideal. But I think the answer lies closer the UK system than the current US system. The reason you have to pay for my kid to go to school is I spent the last 15 years paying for other people's kids to go to school. That's just hows it is. Raising a kid is expensive enough already - people who could not afford to pay private tuition fees simply would not have their kids educated and you'd have a country full of people with the edicational level of an amazonian tribesman. "If you don't like it go home". That's the death throes of a failed debate right there. Can't you conceive of the possibility that no country has it perfect? I offer my opinion because it is directly relevant to the direction that Obama is going. If people want to make up crap about people waiting weeks for CPR then I'll correct that misconception. If someone wants to argue that socialist healthcare is a great place to get experimental treatments funded then I'll correct that misconception too. So when an American says he doesn't like the US system, where do you tell HIM to go?
  24. Then your insurance has a contract rate which is lower. The only people who pay full price are the uninsured - who are least able to afford it. Heck of a system we got here, huh?
