Tires and counter steering makes all te difference in the world. Personally I like how it rides better than my cbr's. Just takes practice as its a differnt animal
apparently everyone missed the fact I'm looking for a new helmet I realize no helmet will ever be soundproof and thats not what I'm looking for. I wear my earbuds 99% of the time, some reason they do not give me a headache but the wind noise/buffeting will. I've tried with ear plugs and ear buds and results are always the same. The VFR and my height and riding position provide the perfect storm of the wind hitting my directly in the face. Tucking behind the windscreen obviously does wonders but with the heli-bars its an awkward and uncomfortable position
I have a love/hate relationship with Shoei RF-1000. Its great on a supersport and its light and comfortable but on my VFR it sounds like I'm sitting sitting next to an industrial fan. I also happened to drop it off my mirror last year so it really should be replaced for safety reasons as well. I attribute the loudness to the more upright position. I could be entirely wrong and a wind deflector thing could resolve the issue but since I don't have to buy a new trailer, I'll probably treat myself to a new helmet Is there such thing as a helmet designed for the more upright sport touring position I have with the VFR?
I'd be thinking more around the 600-800 range. I'm not sure what the utility trailer market is right now but last year my 5x8 heavy duty utility trailer with gate ramp and 15" wheels pulled a premium at $800 and I feel like that was on the high end of the spectrum. It had everything I needed and wanted at first until I realized I could sell it and upgrade to the enclosed for just a couple hundred bucks more. In comparison, my first trailer was a 3 rail in fairly good condition that I bought and sold for $300
yuo can put the straps under the seat no problem and my after market exhaust is a bit smaller but there is no contact of the bags. I have not even used them yet, just fitted them once
Nice! good write up and pics Personally the Honda Hardbags look nice and all but for myself personally, as much as I would use them, I just got cortech sport saddle bags and can fill them the same if not more than the hardbags
son of a bitch now I'm actually sad I'm missing this. The only good thing is the fact that I've literally only had the bike out for 15 miles so I absolutely need more of a tune up
IMO $300 isn't gonna go far in quality. I'd honestly save up a little more to get something the size you need, newer than you'd find with 14-15" wheels already. I'd offer to let you borrow mine whenever but its sold and I've recently discovered I won't be buying one to replace it as my dad is picking up a 6x12 v nose Georgia special on his way home from Florida
well shit and here I thought the first one of the 3 results was the one I was talking about. The one in the picture is on 18 and I know where that is and you are correct it is NOT the same one
