  1. What's the official (aka legal) word on if it's ok to ride on high-tension wire tower paths? And if not, is there a place in SW Ohio where people do it anyway and it's overlooked by LEOs? (besides Thrashing Trails, there just doesn't seem to be a lot of area around the Dayton/Xenia area.)
  2. I just got back from a dual sport ride. (nice, but warm at stop signs.) Gonna take the wheels off the cruiser and try to get them in for a change tomorrow. Someone else might be up for it!
  3. *shurg* Employed is good. Mo' money = mo' bike parts. ;-)
  4. That doesn't happen to me. My fan almost never turns on.
  5. Yea, I know. :-P It's hard to beat 70f and sunny. If someone speaks up about today for sure, then I'll bring the cruiser, otherwise it's a dual sport day.
  6. I'll be at the gas station today at 11am if anyone wants to join me. (I'm usually late by about 5-10 minutes; it's always that "one last thing".) -b
  7. Posty post. Thanks to A.D. Farrow for the donation of the gift card to the O.R. group! here's my entry. -b
  8. Definitely "or something". I'm unemployed again so I've got free time to ride around, do housework, look into more contract work, etc... (at some point it will hopefully be frequent enough that I can say "i'm between contracts.") b
  9. That's cool. I'll probably go once it warms up so probably early afternoon for me once cagers are done with lunch. Have fun with your family! They don't last long enough, even if they do overstay their welcome sometimes. ;-) I have a friend who earned herself the nickname of "houseguest"when she was in college. But from what I know of her visits with friends, she was always welcome at places. -b
  10. I'd be up for saturday late morning if y'all don't mind a cruiser along.
  11. Anyone want to go riding during the day (done by 5p) any of these three days? I got some time off. -b

That's a great question... I'd go out today and ride. maybe i'll start a new thread for today. ;-)
  13. Sounds good. As I said, I'm usually late... (I'll probably be late to my own funeral, but hopefully that won't be for a long time.)
  14. You've got coolthings to put on yer bike. :-) Yea, kids will do that to you...
  15. I'll ride today(4-10). I can be at the Marathon gas station next to Orchard Ln about 1p.(seems like i'm always late by about 10 minutes though.) I'm not really a fast rider or an edge-of-the-seat rider, just out to have fun and enjoy the weather. :-) I can't ride sunday though due to family stuff. (grounded kid = a quiet weekend.) -b
  16. Nice. That's better than putting blue balls on your bike. I just checked the weather for sunday; it's gonna be a good one so I'm gonna go out then.
  17. I'll probably do something saturday or sunday then. Weather looks good on those two days. -b
  18. Yup, I could have went out riding yesterday but I hate riding when I'm cranky (work is making me cranky lately) as I enjoy it less and focus more on the a-hole cages on the road.
  19. Ah yes, newborns! Maybe's good enough for me.
  20. I'd be interested Thursday evening, but I don't get out of work until 5pm. If you're ok leaving the gas station at 6p-ish, then I'll put it on my calendar. -b
  21. Thanks! I know where the GC career center is; I'll check out their location. It's close enough that I wouldn't have to trailer the bike. There was some "treehouse" and loading ramp in the woods off of Hilltop road; I saw 2 trucks with their quads back in there and almost stopped to ask if I could play too, but I passed it and couldn't make a turn-around.
  22. If she's into guns and dogs, perhaps approach her with fingernail polish and ask if she wants to get all girly...
  23. I had trouble getting the knot out after I did that.
  24. :-) I've only done that once. Never went back to that gas station; I hate the ones that don't have pay-at-the-pump and won't give them my money. Usually I just leave it on the bike if I'm running in somewhere for a few. Otherwise, places like work, or when I went to school, I take it with me. It's a plain black simple HJC with a few scuffs on it. Nothing special, nothing neat looking or remarkable. But it's very functional! I didn't have a lock on my previous bike, so I'd just strap it to the mirror and tie the strap to the bar; took about 30 seconds to get it tied and 3 minutes to get it undone; messing with that looks suspicious if you're not wearing motorcycle gear. -b
  25. haha, <Duke Nukem voice> "balls of steel" </voice> :-)
