  1. I think you'd have a real hard time finding gas in Ohio that doesn't contain 10% ethanol. It may or may not be marked on the pumps. E-85 is clearly marked on the pump, is available only in certain areas, although I live in one of the most rural counties in Ohio and there's E85 available here; so it's around. Don't use E85 in anything not designed for it. 10% ethanol is no big deal and despite what some others have said about ethanol causing rubber damage in older vehicles yadda yadda yadda; you pretty much have two choices in Ohio - use it, or park the fucking machine.
  2. Matt, you'd cause probably 3/4 of the riders on here to wad it up following you, you're a loaded gun man, be careful who you invite on your rides!
  3. Obviously I answered via PM but for anyone else, I would keep the 9". You lose about an inch of that width at the top mount opening with the water and dust lip, so the 7.5" bags only have about 6.5" openings. Otherwise, I have nothing bad to say. These are holding up well; I did 3k to New England and lived out of these things for a week. I'm quite happy. I keep a set of small luggage padlocks in my tank bag so I can lock the bags as needed. I also added an Agri Supply tool tube to the void area behind the left side one (not shown in above pics).
  4. That's quite impressive! Congrats. Let us know next month when its 100k!!
  5. I like the DL650 so much I bought it twice.
  6. I think you are limited to a DR, DRZ, KLR, BMW GS 650 / 800 / 1200, or V Strom; or an exotic - KTM Adv, etc. Cost precludes the Beemers and KTM, the KLR honestly has spotty reliability, the DR / DRZ are probably not quite comfortable enough for what you want (though kickass bikes), the Strom is pretty fucking great all around.
  7. So is there no current tag, since the tag has been gotten but a new one not yet posted?
  8. Nothing public and legal. Perry is only an hour away...
  9. Bump, I got a set of 9" on my Strom a week ago. I got the 9" which may be a tad wide, but I like them quite a bit. They seem very solid, and the sale price represents a decent deal.
  10. SOLD SOLD SOLD For sale or trade: 2008 Kawasaki KLR650. Bike is completely stock. 2100 miles (but it is still being ridden). Well maintained. No mechanical issues. No damage. Small "scuffs" to side panels from mounting / dismounting - totally normal wear. Has never been "off road", only gravel and dirt roads; but mostly pavement. Tires are about 40% used up and still have a good amount of life left. Chain, sprockets, brakes all are good. New battery as of several weeks ago, and a SAE / battery tender connection have been installed. 2 keys, manual, complete toolkit. I am located in Mount Gilead, Ohio, 43338. I will deliver the bike free anywhere in Ohio, and can assist in delivery beyond that. $3800 OBO. Thanks. -Mark
  11. You bought a Strom, huh? Cool. Don't forget if you get the natural aluminum versions you need to use a bag to keep clothing in, otherwise the rubbing against the bare aluminum will discolor them. I dig the look of the HT or Jesse stuff but the cost is ri-goddamn-diculous. When I had hard bags I used Givi racks with Pelican 1550 cases on them, whole setup was like $375.
  12. Centralia is actually not really that cool (sorry). It's a neat ride, but as a destiination it is kinda anti-climatic. Silent Hill it ain't.
  13. Could be a lot of fun! A dual sport would make it a lot more fun, and make some stuff a lot more accessible.
  14. JUST GET IT ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is like those white trash shitbirds you run into at the gas station who insist on telling you about the Harley they're gonna get... someday.
  15. It's good stuff, made better if you like adventure touring. The movie premiere of LWD in the US a year ago was fun, a lot of guys rode to the film. LWR is better, IMO. Feels more "genuine", but like I said both are good stuff.
  16. Some of those were damn funny, and some, well... I must be an R-tard 'cause I didn't get.
  17. Next: In the Delaware County village situated between the Union County line and the Scioto River.
  18. I'm just down the road from you, in Mt Gilead.
  19. Who robs a piece of shit buy here pay here lot? I smell drug deal gone bad. Store is a front.
  20. Probably the county, registration rates vary by county based on taxes voted in by residents for road / infrastructure improvements. Never heard of them varying by neighborhood.
  21. I have a Nikon D40 with a few lenses, it's a great camera. I think it was replaced with the D3000. I've handled the Canon and didn't like it; it felt cheaper to me. Both are better cameras than I am a photographer, though.
  22. Congratulations on beating a $75 ticket with only a $5000 outlay in legal fees. Guess he showed that stupid cop.
  23. No, it is perfectly legal.
