Used Smith 6906, nice shape overall, 100% reliable with every kind of ammo you can stuff into it. For those not familiar, this is the 12-round compact 9mm modeled after the 5906; it has a bobbed hammer but is DA/SA, ambi safety / decocker, mag safety, Novak 3-dot sights, 3.5" bbl. Much like the compact Glock magazines do, full size 59-series mags fit and function in this gun. Aluminum frame has some shiny spots from holster wear and the grip shows minor wear, but overall this is a very nice piece. Bore is crisp, lockup is tight, and it points and shoots very nicely. Recoil spring is new; nothing wrong with the old one, but it's cheap insurance. Comes with 2 factory 12 round mags, 2 pinky baseplates (the pictured mags have flat 5906 baseplates currently installed), 3 new Mec-Gar 15 round 5906 mags, manual. No box. $400 FTF in central Ohio (I am near Marion but am willing to drive a bit), or trade for a Smith 442-1 or 642-1 (J frame .38, no lock), or 9mm Glocks. Not really interested in other trades but I'll listen if you got something interesting.

Marlin 981 TS .22 S/L/LR bolt action rifle. 23" bbl, synthetic stock, stainless steel, folding buckhorn sights. Gun is about 18 months old, round count is about 2500. Bolt shows wear consistent with that but all else is cherry. BIPOD IS NOT INCLUDED. No box. Comes with paperwork / manual. $150 FTF in central Ohio (Marion area). Newer 870 Tactical 12ga, 19" bbl w/ "door breacher" choke (removeable), 3" chamber, XS ghost ring sights, 6 shot extended tube. All factory items installed by Remington. Rount count is about 100 rounds. Gun is about 6 months old. No box. Comes with manual / paperwork for gun, sights, and tube. $325 FTF in central Ohio (Marion area). Would PREFER a trade for a Smith 442-1 or 642-1 .38 (no lock - J frame - internal hammer). No other trades wanted.

Actually it has nothing to do with the deaths, directly. What it has to do with is the injuries which require treatment / hospitalization and for which the injured parties cannot pay or do not have insurance. Cost savings. I would venture to say the health insurance industry also lobbied for the seat belt law. Cost savings. I'd also speculate that agencies, both public and private, which pay death benefits (SSI, insurance) probably lobbied for the law. Cost savings. We as a society like to make a lot of claims about "safety" but really it all comes down to money. And while I won't even address the Darwin comment I will say that stupid people dying is technically not part of the evolutionary process.

I don't waste my breath with those assholes. If they ask me a stupid question (isn't it hot...) I just cock my head at them like the RCA dog and ignore them. While the "right thing" might be to try and edumacate him, we all know he ain't gonna listen, so why waste time and energy?

541 is a good route, nice and curvy. Lots of slower moving cars, especially on the more curvy section between 79 and Coshocton. It is a vastly superior bike road to USR 36. Be careful where 541 intersects with CR 3 in West Bedford. That is a bad intersection for drivers on CR 3 pulling accross 541; so slow down and be alert right there.

The southern section between Dennison and the Ohio R. is fun. As noted, nothing super scary, but good enough to keep you intrested. The far southern section south of barnesville is scenic, the road runs along the ride for a good while with pretty views. If you ride 800 all the way south to the river, take the Sistersville Ferry across from Fly, OH to Sistersville, WV. That's just simple fun. I think it is $3 for bikes w/ riders.

Still a lot of gravel in corners?

I think. Runs straight south from 146 to 60 on the north side of DF. Real hilly...

3 years ago, Marion PD picked up a murderer, who was disposing of the body (it was wrapped in plastic in the rear of his Explorer), after they stopped him for a no front plate violation. I cannot count the number of suspended drivers, warrants, DUIs, and the like I have gotten from turn signal, no plate light, and similar violations. Also got an escapee from the Crawford County Jail on a pedestrian violation for jaywalking; and picked up a rape warrant on a guy who had no red reflector on his bike at night. The "scared looking like a deer" comment is amusing, because that's a great way to predict who is gonna be arrested before you even stop the car. That, and the guy who glares at you like he wants to kill you; and the guy who wears a hoodie up in 70 degree weather as he drive past...

I don't think he had glasses on under the helmet, hence the stop.

An even better trick is to get a large carabiner, or "S" Biner, and clip the stripped pump onto it, then clip that onto the bike and let it hang while it pumps! It's easy to install an SAE lead in place of the cigarette plug, it's two wires after all.

I'm in Mt. Gilead. SR39 E is a good ride, although if you take it past SR7 it turns into urbanized glut around East Liverpool and into PA. I used to have this sickness where about once a week I'd take a ride to Wellsville on 39, piss in the Ohio River, and then go back home... luckily I'm better now.

Yeah, Old River Road is a nice ride, but if you want to stay on the east side the shortcut north out of Duncan Falls over to 146 is nice. Paved, hilly county roads.

You got a warning. Wear glasses under your helmet and then you are in compliance with the law and protecting your eyesight.

I am currently engaged in a claim and am using Gary Reeve, downtown Columbus. 614-808-1881 We are about 5 months into the suit right now and I am satisfied with his performance and attitude. He also is a good bit cheaper than most labor attorneys. I'll tell you who not to use - Dan Klos, also of Columbus. I consulted with him regarding the same matter several times and was very disappointed in his responsiveness. Dunno what your deal is, exactly, but remember a few things: Ohio is "at-will" employment, which pretty much gives most employers in the private sector carte blanche to fuck with your life. Also, it is important to seek out at least two legal opinions before you make a decision about how to proceed and what lawyer to use. This will involve consultations with attorneys and you will be paying for those, so be prepared to drop a few hundred bucks for that, but it's well worth it.

Well the 1200 Tenere is a-comin, now if they'd only import the 660....

Well, I voted, not that you need it now... My favorite cripple, BTW, is Timmy on South Park. You're number two. -
Shit, Matt, I never knew you did a 50cc. Now I feel like a real poseur riding with you, with my "Ironbutt" placard from a measly 1000 miler. Glad to see ya on here. They are way more tolerant than ADV.

'Sup Tim, I'm 13 miles west of you on 95.

I have a Scorpion EXO-400, which is very nice for a "low end" helmet. Good fit, plush foam, quiet, well designed and durable shield and attachment points. I'd buy another, in fact, probably will pick up a neon yellow one soon. Also have a Fulmer ADV Dual Sport helmet, it's okay; but the foam is harder, it's obviously a lot noisier, the shield is not optically correct, and the peak and shield mounts feel flimsy. For the money, though, ($100), it is decent and is a good off road helmet with the shield removed and goggles in it's place. I've owned HJC's, which failed to impress; one Shoei, which was okay but really nothing awesome; a Bell or two, similarly failed to impress...
