  1. If I did it, I'd probably just ignore the enduro/scorekeeping stuff to the best of my ability, but I have a lot on my plate this weekend won't be able to get down there anyway.

And, here I go complaining again, but I have another weird personal beef with paying money to ride public roads. I know it's going towards something, and I appreciate the work that goes into laying stuff like this out, but it's a public road and I'm not paying to ride it. It's just a weird thing with me, doesn't make sense but I have my strange scruples.

I would rather put a ride together, or go on one of yours (which are always good, btw), something of that nature than the big sanctioned rides. I guess they don't appeal to me.

I'm weird, don't try to figure me out.

    :D

I'm looking at it like this: For $25 I get: A fun GPS track to follow at a later date, an "easy" intro to enduro timing without dealing with ohio mud, it's an event I can do without putting knobbies back on, and lunch is provided.

But if I don't find a babysitter, I'll be missin it anyway :(

  2. Amazing how GP outside of America it is shoulder to shoulder people and all seats are filled!

You look at the races, WSBK too, and it looks empty here in the states.

A lot of that is camera trickery. The turn out for Indy wasn't very far off the numbers for many of the tracks.

    Qatar 7,302?

    Jerez 122,048

    Le Mans 82,270

    Mugello 80,000

    Silverstone 70,123

    Assen 97,146

    Catalunya 81,426

    Sachsenring 98,477

    Laguna Seca 51,436

    Brno 148,120

    Indy 67,794

    Aragon 70,124

  3. The track has been under contraction for 6 - 9 months. It was designed by Herman Tilke, who has designed all of the newest premier racing facilities around the world. I also believe the management of the Austin track had pre joys ties to MotoGP, so this announcement was almost a foregone conclusion.

Kevin Schwantz has been involved in the process from early on. He was the motorcycle advisor to Tilke.

  4. i think two strokes are going to be making a comeback. manuf. have had years to work on emissions, direct injection and a whole bunch of other stuff.

Don't hold your breath. Yes, you're right, there have been some major advances in 2 stroke technology, but the industry at large has moved on. After this season, there won't be any more ring dingers in any major racing series.

  5. Kbb is 2640$.

    That's a dealership price.

I doubt they could get $2500 unless a buyer wanted that EXACT bike and had to have it.

I sold my 2003 SV in 2009 for $3500 and it had just about every desirable accessory and mod you could do. They're great bikes but you just have to find the right buyer.

  6. No doubt be fun for the 1/4 mile it is good for....

But Why would you do that to a saleen? It would be like tubing a shelby.

It probably happened in stages. Once they realized they coulda started with any mustang, the damage was already done.
