If your at 14ish at idle and still 14 - 15 at 5000 rpm your good to go. Over 15 I would start to be conserned and below 13 at idle I would start watching it. See what your manual says, but a steady 14.3v is a good thing. --- Oh yeah, put a good overnite 18 hour trickle charge on the battery before you test. Go through your connections and clean them good and you should be fine.

- I like the balanced budget idea, but spend the effort to make it a Consitutional requirement? Dunno on that one, I would rather have term limits. The recent debacle on the debt ceiling reinforces that one. - A balance budget instantly today? Dunno how to do that one either. SS is $700 billion and medicare/medicaid is another $700 billion, defense is $650B and interest on the debt is in the $220B range. So that consumes the 2.2 trillion we take in now and leaves no bucks for the other 20 or so bureaucracys. (Education, Labor, Justice, Energy, etc...) - Then about a dozen years out, SS and medicare will consume all the incoming revenue of the US at the present rate. So between now and then, Washington needs to change their ways or its gonna be nasty.

Agreed - I would love to do another fly n ride, but live out there? Um no thanks, - its the land of political whackjobs and lunacity, and waaay too damn much traffic, and very expensive.

NorCal Oregon Arizona New Mexico Colorado Ohio West Virginia Tennesese Kentucky North Carolina Georgia Virginia Havent been riding in below but no reason they shouldnt be great too. Washington Montana Pennsylvania Utah New York NH Vermont Maine That's enuff to keep busy. Have road, will ride.....

I dont think you can say any one state is "best". There are so many good places to ride. ---- On the other end of the stick, there is def states that would suck, starting with Florida and Kansas.

Did a riding vacation of about 2900 miles in north california - awesome place to ride. Florida, Kansas, Iowa? BS....
