  1. on one knee and sloooowww
  2. Made it to the end of the track.. Geez this is damn goofy..lol
  3. Wow - that was pretty cool, the bike vs car. Gotta admit I was routing for the bike...
  4. Wow, you go thru bikes like breakfast. My head spins on what youve been thru in the last year. (not sayin thats a bad thing) Still got the FJR?
  5. In the spring they usually have some decent bike tire sale deals, but after that I agree, prices on are on the high side. Mostly I just buy my tires online and get them mounted there. They are still happy to have your business. (The owner there rides a Speed Triple.) Very occasionally the balance job is off and they have no problem redoing it for you. - Sometimes I have dropped off the wheel/tire on the way to work in the morning and picked it up on the way home in the evening. I've done quite a few bike tires there and no complaints.
  6. Jeez, I even told where to do it for 30 bucks.....
  7. I thought I read that Loughner had a 30 round clip. Think that is for real or BS?
  8. So how do you keep someone who is obviously mentally ill from getting a gun? (Another example - the guy who recently shot that lady sheriff with a shotgun.) I'm not anti gun, I want to get the CCW myself.
  9. I think Harley's are cool, but then again the few I have ridden never leave me walking away wanting one. I'm always willing to try another ride though.
  10. Now there's a vasectomy candidate! LOL!
  11. I usually go to Tires Unlimited off of I-75 at Needmore Rd. They do a reasonable job usually while you wait. 30 bucks last time I checked.
  12. Who say you gotta be one or the other - I like both. Sometimes it feels good with your hair on fire and sometimes slow and easy feels good. -All bikes are cool..
  13. Thats just it - the owner as manager didnt have a clue as to what it takes to have a presentable showroom, parking lot and people that understood street riders. The guy was a non manager, he just didnt get it. The place just drifted downhill.
  14. There is a universe of imfomation out there on investing and easy to get confused. The number one rookie site is Motley Fool.com But if you have money on the side starting a Roth is a number one action you should do. Then decide if you want to personally work your money or have a pro do the job. I have an IRA managed by a Pro group, and I foole with a Roth with stocks in a discount account. I personally like high dividend stocks that have a bit of room for some growth. My favorites for the moment - GRT,PVX,BTE,PSEC,AINV. I dont know how much bucks you got, but stick equal amount in each take the month dividend, buy some more of one and repeat. Its a medium risk strategy, so see if you feel ok with it, then maybe look for some sexier tech growth stocks. Good for you to think about some finance, ---Good luck - its a jungle out there
  15. This is the 2nd time I have heard Southside is closing. Too Bad, a big shame. I bought quite a few bikes from them, and mega bucks of parts. They were my home base for mc stuff, they gave me great discounts on parts, and let me snatch test rides on used bikes. Just nice people. -- (no service there for me though) The thing is the owner was so involved in the Troy Honda dirt racing, the group had no sense of the street side of stuff and street riders. The service dept was always just average. If a shop does this for a long period of time, they will lose customers. I once mentioned this to the owner, and even asked if he would just pave the parking lot, (it was dusty, muddy half the time) and he just didnt seem to get it. While other shops were doing upgrades to the show room and trying to improve, Southside just drifted backwards. I'm sad to see them go, but it takes some business sense to compete in the tough mc business.
  16. If your working on a Honda the factory service manuals are worth every dime. I always will grab those first. Haynes and Clymers are just average.
  17. Ditto - there are lots of bikes that would be upgrades from a '94 Katana. Even a F4i would be a significant bump and you would save some bucks.
  18. I have ordered a lot of stuff from Dennis Kirk. They have about anything you would want for bikes. Great vendor! -- They keep sending me the thick paper catalog of stuff to tempt me with and I usually end up buying something.
  19. - Did a trip in an overloaded Civic - Dayton to Phoenix - it took two 16hr days and one 14 hr days and we were moving faster than the speed limit. I think C'bus to Seatle would be a longer trip. - If someone told me I had to do your trip with the Accord, I would probly find a tuner car Honda speed shop and see if they could add a tranny cooler. Good luck dude.
