Thanks..good to see Jayson is being smart about his approach to purchasing a bike, asking questions and doing research first. Plus the fact he lives like 10 miles from me......

Jayson is early in his search for a bike, so I'd like him to look around and see what style and brand he likes. Of course, I would like him to purchase my bike, I know it needs nothing and the cash would help cover the cost of my autocross car.

I meet Jayson, cool young kid. Took the Katana to meet him at a halfway point. It was not really cold on the bike, but the gap between my gloves and the end of my jacket that part is a lot-bit cold.

Welcome, PM sent. I am from Bedford, like 10 miles from Solon. Good group of riders in the north east, most of us anyways. Glad to see you have the correct approach to riding/getting a bike.

Anyone up for a party in Cleveland hts this Saturday? I'll be there after 6 PM. Location: Parnel's Irish Pub, on Cedar and Lee road in Cleveland hts, next to Cedar/lee movies. The pub is having a costume party/contest. The only drawback to cleveland hts, is the speed limit changes almost every city block, from 25 to 35 and then back down to 25. So watch your speed. There is metered pay parking in the lot behind the pub. It is .25 cents per hour, just so ya know. I will not be in a costume, since MJ lives too far away...

Did we check ebay? Does it have an OR sticker if we send a S.A.S.E? Where are we meeting for the ride to the light bulb location? Chicken wings afterwards?

On the way home, driving on Broadway near the metropark entrance, ( by Bedford Viaduct park, for those who went on the parks and waterfall tour) I noticed a single headlight low to the ground. As I passed the entrance, I see a motorcycle on it side. I stopped and help the guy pick up the bike. He did not say what happened, no leaves or gravel on the road. Two other people had stopped to help. Puddle of gas on the street, the bike does not start. I offer my cell phone to the guy, but he had one and already made a call. When the bike was upright, we walked it over to the running path, off the main road. The guy did not want me to stick around and said he had it covered. No major damage, just the turn signal lens and the mirror was bent. The bike was a chromed out sportster. Just thought I'd share.

Thanks for the advice. This is not a compact gun. I have just started my research. The price seems great, but might be too much firepower for home protection, if there is such a thing.

The seller is a friend of mine, he knows his guns. i talked to him and he is aware i was considering getting a gun and offered me his. It only has about 30 rounds fired.

The Ruger i was offered is not the SP, it looks like this, from Ruger's website: But the grips are different. I have not gone to a store to look at other models or prices, but was offered this one for $200. I do not plan on getting a CCW yet, just looking for something for home and shooting range practice

A friend has a Taurus pistol and his ccw. Compact and does the job.....I have a lot of research to do on fire arms......And training,safety and general knowledge to learn BEFORE i get a gun....
