  1. Holy Cripers!! TV show on Speed on channel earlier today. 70 miles though the mountains of Colorado, route US 550. Most of the road has no guard rails and straight vertial drop offs. This road is called the million dollar highway. I am all about adventure, but not sure i would feel safe on this road.
  2. The white car on criagslist was located in Chagrin Falls.
  3. I should have bought that white one on Craigslist. I am also on Miata.net. The guy that bought that car posted on miata.net that it was his first miata and it needed a ton of work. I plan to make mine a track rat for autocross and fun days at Nelson Ledges, so it just needs to not be rotted out and a manual trans.A group from Akron puts on autocross events at Northfield park ( the horse race track) at least once a month in the summer.
  4. Sweet Miata. I am looking to pick one up for the winter and build it to autocross. Based on my price range, I'll probably be looking for a 90-97 "NA".
  5. I am a progressive customer, they used to offer a policy with 9 month on and 3 month off for the winter. Progressive cancelled that policy option, and now it is all year round. I have not price shopped Geico or Foremost insurance for insurance policies.
  6. Welcome aboard from Cuyahoga County. The bike is looking good. Is that a Mazda Miata in the background of the frame/ motor pic?
  7. I went on a quick 30 mile ride today., nothing special, just river road, and a drive by through Chagrin Falls, There were too many Harleys parked in front of Starbucks for me to park, so I just road home. Now off for wings at Bw3's in Aurora.

    Sucks to be me

I got suckered into seeing this movie on opening night. It worked out well, lots of Mom's at the bar next to the movies. I wont comment on the females also watching the movie, since I am sure not many were over 18........
  9. Make sure you have an updated (current) card indicating you have valid insurance for your motorcycle. I am heading out for a quick ride and I checked my insurance card. I have insurance all year round, but the actual card to keep in the wallet was 2 years old. I figure it is a nice day and late in the year, the LEOs might be out giving extra attention to motorcyclists today. Also, check your car insurance card too. I am planning on riding river road, then stop in Chagrin falls. I'll be on my 1982 GS 850 L, since Jayson L bought my Katana.
  10. There is a program called "couch to 5K". It is a "beginner" guide to at least starting running. There are alot of audio MP3 files to listen to as you start out walking, then jogging, then running. I have a Weider Platinum 1200 work out bench for sale. It has an electric motor to simulate the resistance by weight, but it needs a switch replaced. If you set the weight to over 150 pounds, the weight setting goes back to 99 pounds....
  11. I still have my 3 Nikon 6006 film cameras. I used to load one with color film, and the other with black and white. The third 6006 is for parts, since the latch on the film door broke.
  12. About to get Taco Bell and Starbucks....
  13. A wheel bearing for my monte carlo and CiCi's pizza buffet
  14. I might be interested in Nikon VR lens
  15. Gander Mountain in Twinsburg had a deal on the Remington 870 Express synthetic with 18 inch barrel, cylinder bore for $249. I dont plan to hunt, but the video on Remington's website makes it seem that changing barrels is very easy to do. I thought about the 2 shell "extender" add on, but as the guy at counter indicated, most shoot outs with shotguns dont last last more then 2 or 3 shells.I am looking at getting this 870 express, 3 inch chamber. Remington makes a shell for home defense, which i think is #2 and #4 shot.
  16. I really like my D70 and D200 Nikon
  17. Off to do the family stuff, dinner at Claudagh ( however you spell it) at Legacy Village with the in-laws, then off to my sisters house for more food and fun....Dont eat too much today
  18. The plastics are in excellent condition. I did tell Jayson to sign up at Katriders.com. I am kinda sad that I sold the bike,it really is in excellent, "needs nothing" condition. But for me, I plan to get into autocross racing. So to help fund that project, I decided to sell the Katana. I will still have my 1982 GS 850 L, so I'll still have a bike, just not that bike. Jayson, in 2 or 3 years, PLEASE sell this bike back to me.
  19. Correct, I will still have the GS850L. I have owned the 850 for about 14 or 15 years, and I think i will keep it, even if I get V-strom.
  20. Thanks for stopping by today Jayson

    Open carry?

I am from Bedford, Ohio, near Cleveland. <<You have several issues you have to resolve in your own value system when trying to decide which is right for you. OC is less hassle on the surface because no license is involved but if it’s going to be a lifestyle and you want to stay legal, not so much. Walking around your neighborhood and around your house it's fine but if you want to do it away from home it starts to become a P.I.T.A.. Legally without a CCH license you need to make the weapon safe for transport which is really not so convenient. If you have your CCH license you don't have to worry so much about how you are transporting a firearm.>> You are correct in me trying to resolve my values, I am working on getting knowledge to see what works for me.

    Open carry?

I have been lurking on most of the gun topic threads. As a guy from the burbs, I never really thought about firearms. Currently thinking about taking a course to get a CC license. From the very little bit i read, it seems OC is a lot less of a hassle with laws then CC. A friend of mine always CC, but I dont know that i feel "safer" when we are out. I also don't feel any less safe because I do not carry. So, until I can learn more about the laws for CC and OC, I cant say what is better, CC or OC. Put me in the "gun-curious" catagory.
