  1. Actually, I believe they can not do anything about that, as the vehicle is personal property along with everything in it. I know when I took my course, I was still in college and was told as long as the gun was in the truck it was still legal. ? I've also been told that as long as the weapon doesn't leave the vehicle it's legal by the local sherrif back home.

    Is this incorrect?

I am not a lawyer or anything even close, but I think line is if there is a sign stating "no guns on property" compared to "no guns in the building"

I would look at a source such as a lawyer or even BuckeyeFireams.org for the rules / laws as they are now.

  2. My holster is probably the issue why I don't like carrying the G26 all that much

I had the Nano and Shield side by side yesterday at the Fin and I did prefer the size and feel of the Nano. I didn't even look at the LC9 as I had to get back to the office

    The Fin in Middleburg?

Did they have the Sheild in 9mm?

I ruled out the LC9 since it was too small for my hands. The grip was too narrow. Maybe due to being a single stack mag? Surprisingly, the width is .90 just like the nano, but felt too small. Maybe combination of the width and the location of the trigger?

The Nano width is .90 of an inch too, but felt good in my hand.

  3. Bad, I did not pick up a Nano yet. I like the feel for my hands. Since I did not fire one, I am not sure if I truely want it. I have heard from Youtube videos these have a long travel and "soft" trigger break.

I also had a Walther PPQ and a Sheild on my list, but have not found either one.

Currently I have a CZ-82 for carry but I am looking for a better holster for it.

If I can find a good holster, I won't get another carry piece.

Kinda like how when the wife can not find shoes to match an outfit, she will just go out and buy another complete outfit all together instead of piecing one together.

  4. Wow, I haven't had anything that vivid. Maybe your brain was going fast forward times a thousand as you were thinking " be careful, road is wet and when roads are wet, people drive left of center" and then you flashed back to that accident?

Was the car started and you heard the same song that was playing ( depending on what radio station you had on, almost anything 20 years old would be on a "classic " rock station or satelight radio maybe) ?

  5. I see the magic answer seems to be "it depends" - if this is a long term thing, which region is affected. Too many people near me, with an apartment complex at the end of the street.

Expanding a little bit more, if the vechicle is invovled, I could take lots of ammo for the pistol, rifle, shotgun and more stuff, like a camping trip.

  6. If you want, I could piss all on this thread with pictures of my GN for free bumps.

Half the price, same amount of attention, has a backseat, and enough room to fit 4 dead hookers under the decklid.

    Plus it has a turbo.

Back in 1987, still in high school, I owned a yard maintance company ( I don't want to say landscaping, just grasscutting) I was making pretty good money at the time. One of the owners of the local Chevy dealer was a friend of the family and also one of my baseball coaches.

I planned on buying either a 1987 Monte Carlo SS Aero or the GN. I ended up not buying either, but still think what it would have been like when i see even a regular SS or a GN.

Thread related content - nice Supra .

  7. So, not only do I have to think about what to put in a bag, I would also have to figure out where to go. I have a friend in eastern Ohio, but that is 90 miles away. Depending on the reason I would have to bail from my house, I might not be able to make it out of the 'burbs. Then, I also have a wife, so I would have to bring her along, and prep a bag for her too.

Assuming I could make it to eastern Ohio, and not get car jacked, road blocked, shot along the way, weather conditions, I might have a chance since my friend is way of an outdoorsman then I am.

No real place within the burbs to escape to, other then the metro parks. I know there is water ( Tinkers Creek ) and possibly wild life. I could take up shelter under one of the many bridge over passes, but might be hard to defend / protect my stuff / wife.

Once you bug-out, where do you go? I have to factor that into a plan too.

  8. just watching this now from the DVR, but with about 10 minutes from the end, when the little kid helps the other people in the prision, did that pistol have a supressor?

The Woodbury event shows that the "spray and pray" method isn't the best for getting the bad guys, cover fire maybe.

  9. How about those small "2-way" walkie-talkie style Motorolas? Just for 2 way info within your group, if one person goes ahead in a "scouting" trip? Or would that be bad since there are only a few channels those broadcast on, a third person could hear the communication within the group?

  10. Exarch, I understand and would be mad to a point and for just a short time.

Seems like there are bigger issues going on then just a mirror, maybe more issues than Dr. Phil can resolve.

I wish you well in your efforts to determine what is important in your life and how you react to events that happen to you.

  11. Recon, thank you for these posts. I have not been following world events and really not sure what to make of alot this information. Other then, stuff may be about to happen that will involve the US military?

It seems that some of these countries have been flying below the radar so to speak and now may become major players in world events?

  12. I am not from that side of town, so I am not sure what place is close by the show, and has room for the group that did not go to Indy. I would vote for Tilted Kilt just for the eye candy, but downtown and parking and not really an area for everyone to hang out.
