  1. I guess I'll be that guy, I'll trade you an original X-Box 360 and shit ton of games for it, plus $5 cash? ....... J/K...... Do want......Hummmm. I just found out today that the 2003 SV1000 I have drooling over might be for sale. ( I actually went to State 8 with the original owner the day he bought the bike, and rode it home him for him. Bike only has 2,300 miles)
  2. BTW, can Dale order one for you? His place is not all that far away from Canton, unless there isn't much difference on savings from what you would lose in time/gas for the round trip.
  3. Keep in mind that Gander will price match, even with online places such as Budsgunshop and Gunbroker. At least the Gander in Twinsburg Ohio price matched Internet prices. Bring a smart phone with Internet access to show the guy at the counter the price. I bought my Buckmark Stainless this way and the counter price matched, but added on $25 since he said that would be a normal FFL transfer fee. I was not planning on getting a pistol at Gander but they actually had one and I could not find the model i was looking for any place else. The price match was a huge plus too.
  4. Waiting for Daytona Brandito to chime in.........
  5. Just curious, what exhaust was on your white street bike? Was it the stock exhaust? That white bike sounded sweet when you rode it to work those couple times.
  6. We can do our part and plan a wild hog hunt in southern Ohio. Unless the wild hog bacon isn't good to eat?
  7. We still have to make time for a range trip for you to try out the SR22 and the GSG 22 1911.
  8. So it is in the same spot, do you see the dirt in the viewfinder? I was able to clean my Nikon D70.
  9. Looks nice!! just a tad out of my budget right now.
  10. I have heard about this new fangled 1080 HD stuff. I might something new(er) this year, and hopefully all the devices will match ( DVD and surround sound. If I want to watch a DVD, I have switch to audio line in 2 - and select tv input = VHS. don't ask about the pile of remotes needed too. I really do have a printed out instructions on how to power up the TV and the audio "system" in case the wife needs to watch a DVD and i am not around....lol I might have to check into the Netflix online with either a Wii, playstation or X-box. ( once i buy a game system)
  11. I don't have the HD channels / package ( Also don't have a flat screen TV, still have the 14 year old Sony Trinatron)
  12. Dang, the Velocity channel for Direct TV in my area is channel 182, does not show up on my Guide. Maybe it is part of a premium package?
  13. Is a buy back from insurance company a possiblity?
  14. A Marlin 795 or Savage MKII Bolt action 22.LR rifles are good value for the price. Also the Remington 597 is in there too. The is useful information on a site called RimFireCentral.com. Dick's sporting Goods usually run a sale on the Marlin with a scope for around $99, the savage might be around $125. ( these are last years prices) The .22Lr rifles are cheap fun, good rifle to practice the basics and also meet your needs.
  15. Unless I am out for an event or party, I not sure the last time I have been home and awake at 11:30 on Saturday night to even watch TV.
  16. I have noticed the best tire prices from Northfield Tire Center on Northfield road / route 8. I have been using Cooper CS4 on my Monte Carlo, until i sold the car in Jan this year. Cooper usually offers a deal where if you buy 4 tires you get $50- 100 rebate. I purchased my Blizzak and steel rims for my Subabru from Northfield ( they are a Tire Rack installer) I don't have an insider hook-up, but the regular "street price" is very good.
  17. I know i am not the only person that has had a loss, thank you all for sharing. I know me and family will have to adjust to a new "normal". It has taken a few months to realize how to adjust and fill the void. At times, I would like to push the pause button on life, and just rememebr the good and bad times too. Eventually, I think i will be able to talk about dad with a smile and not get choked up. I am planning on stopping in for the dream ride Oct 6th, even though I will be in the car. On positive outcome, I am looking into working for Western Reserve hospice. I know I would not be working with the caregiving side, but they always looking for people to assist those in need in other ways. Tasks like cutting grass, that the people dealing with issues do not have time to complete. Kinda like a "pay it forward" mindset. Scuit, your message and tattoo of "because", really powerful stuff!!
  18. Moving on does not mean forgetting. I just re-read all these posts again and truely thank everyone that posted. For those that indicated they have a loved one with cancer, I hope all is with your situation. My mom and sister are doing ok. My father passed away at his house. Some times I am ok and feel comfort being there in the house and in that room. Other times I just cry even before I make the turn onto their street. Mom indicated that she will stay in the house for a year and then decide if she will keep the house. I can already see the house is too large for her. I cut the grass, keep her car clean. I did get my father's rifle, but have not fired it yet since his passing. It is special since we went together when it was purchased. Thank you for reading.
  19. I have a friend ( not on this forum) that would like 5 tickets. Call me or PM me and I can get your info to him. And if it is ok for you, i can pay you on Monday in cash or if you prefer to use the pay pal thing.
  20. As a season pass holder for mid ohio the last couple years, the superbike attendance has been dwindling. And without the big time vendors and factory booths, people started losing that "great value for the event" mindset. And possibly with Mladin and Spies leaving the Suzuki cup series ( i know it was still AMA, but those years one of those guys usually won ) when they did, maybe no draw for the crowds.
  21. That cement pond can get pricey kinda quickly. CONGRATS!!
  22. Go for it!! The retired guy started somewhere. This way you won't wonder "what if" if you don't follow through. I spent part of my vacation in southern Utah and visited some of the national parks. We stayed in small no-chain local motel. The one early 20's gal that works there is a park ranger and co-owner of this motel. She has the motel just as a "fall-back" plan. She would like to own another motel and eventaully get out of the park ranger side of things. I also noticed a boat-load of older cars from all years, 40's - 70's sitting next to barns out that way. The motel gal said if I bought a car out there, I can keep it behind the motel short term until I can make arrangements to bring it home to Ohio. So, I will be back to that area. What I would like to do is move out to that area and start an offroad sight seeing company.
  23. I don't know the people involved, but maybe the "no helmet " headline is just to make you think next time you ride? I have not noticed, but when car accidents are reported, is there usually a comment about the driver wearing a seat belt or airbags deployed?
