  1. Welcome aboard. Cars, guns, bikes, yep, you will like it here......
  2. Nothing useful to post regarding the ammo, but I was freaking out when I bought my Nikon D7000 camera due to the price, but bought it anyway
  3. Regarding the plague, you have to mention the "bring out your dead" quote from Monty Python
  4. How about a firearm forum?.....oh wait, we have that. I like OR the way it is.
  5. Last week, I just bought snow tires and rims from tirerack for my 2011 Legacy. Dang it!!
  6. I might buy another 91/30 while they are affordable.
  7. It was 2004 and we had lost power at the house. As it got dark, the wife and I were playing cards by candlelight. We wanted to listen to the radio but I dont have any real battery powered radios, except for the alarm clock. So I go to the bedroom to get the clock radio and notice the time is not displayed. Damn, no batteries in the alarm clock. I even checked - no batteries in the clock radio. I remember saying out loud " it would sweet if this thing actually turned on" Guess what, for 3 hours that clock radio play music with no batteries and not connected to the wall. Even freaky-er, when the radio stopped playing, the power to the house came back on.
  8. I have a 91/30 rifle from Fin Feather and Fur for $99. Great rifle. Plenty of links on-line to clean the rifle for the first time from all the storage goop. I don't shoot it too often, but usually take it everytime I go to the outdoor range. The mag pouches that comes with the rifle makes a neat cell phone holder.
  9. neat to watch, just glad it isn't my bike
  10. No costume for me, but i will be at the after party, not going to the bike show.
  11. Thank you. I looked at the Ruger 22/45 and the MK II pistols, but the 22/45 grips where tooo thin for my liking. The MK II take down was a deterant. I figured go with Buckmark since I have fired one before. I spent more then I had planned, but I wanted stainless and the truglow front sight. I like the sight better then just the standard blade on the other model Buckmarks.
  12. Speedy, I am planning around 5 at the range? Did your Buckmark come with the an allen wrench or sight adjustment tool? Mine did not have either.
  13. I would not use the email address, but the instant messaging would be cool.
  14. So, I am officaily out of the market for a PMR-30. Unless they are available again after I refill the "hobby" budget a bit more.
  15. This kinda followed me home today? Range report on Sunday.
  16. Thanks for all the replies. The tires in the house would make a nice coffee table. FOr some reason, the wife did not like the idea of storing the my motorcycle in the house.
  17. I am going with the WS70 BLizzak tire
  18. I used cardboard to pattern my turkey shotgun. 30 yards of 3 1/2 turkey load from an 887 yields a nice 8 inch pattern. I don't have a room or hallway that is 90 feet long, so i think i am good.
  19. Lost, that is one other reason too for the thought on getting the winter tires. I have to be at work, almost no matter what. Also, my parents are getting older and at times, may have to use my car to take them where ever they need to go. Plus i dont want to wreck this new car.
  20. Thanks for all the replies. Mags, your side of the world is not plowed as much as the 'burbs. Next time I am out that way, I will call ya. For reference, I live near Cleveland akron Honda ( might be called Ohio Motorcycle now?) I decided to go with the steel rims and BLizzak tires. I know I can have them delivered to my house from Tirerack, but I called the local tire place who is also a Tirerack installer. It is about $20 more to have the tire dealer order from Tirerack. However, the tire place will mount them on the car ( not a big deal,at least the first time) and offer free road hazzard ( good to have i suppose) and life time tire rotation. They classify the change over of the summer / winter tires as a tire rotation, so no extra money there. They will also "relearn" the tire pressure sensors each season. And the final benefit, they will store the tires at their place. Kinda creeped out about this, and hope they have done this service before so that my tires don't end up on somebody elses car. I kinda have room in the garage / basement to store the tires, but now I wont have too. I hope that the Legacy will handle like a snowmobile driven by Travis Pastrana after all this. Thanks again guys.
  21. Might have to look at this, or wait for the Buckmark I want.
