So why dont they make them in a 22 mag edition... That would be cool.

I was thinking they could make it a kit. Come with a extra mag and barrel for a 22 WMR.

Kel-tec makes the PMR 30 in 22 mag, but they are having issues keeping up with demand. Hopefully the other firearm companies will make a version in 22 mag, or even 17 HMR?

The GSG i seen at Fin Feather fur had a tactical rail molded into the frame, just in front of the trigger gaurd. Not my visual liking for the look of a 1911.

I had heard the Sig version of the 1911 22 was made by GSG and just stamped Sig.

Since I can not afford my friends older model Hammerili Trailside, I think i will settle for either the "normal" GSG 1911 ( no tact rail ) or maybe the Smith and Wesson 22A.

  2. I have a rem 887. Once the break in period was over, this is actually a decent shotgun. The very first shot i fired through this 887, I ejected the spent round, but was unable to rack the slide forward. 2 calls to Remington and 3 seperate replacement parts shipments, it has been working out well so far. I have about 100 rounds through this shotgun.

It is now my dedicated turkey hunting gun. It is nice to have the option for the 3 1/2 inch shells for hunting, but not really needed. Also, with the Armorlokt (plastic coating) on the exterior, no concerns when the shotgun is out in the rain.

I would have purchased the Beneli super nova, but I got super great price on the 887, i could not pass up the deal.

  3. I had the 2 bike deal going for awhile. I had a 1990 Katana ( affordable purchase price and fun to ride) and the bike I have owned for about 16 years, my 1982 GS 850. I usually always rode the Katana cuz it was "funnier" and most of my friends have sportbikes. Insurance was affordable since both bikes were older. I am over 25 and am married.

There were times I rode the 850 just because it looked sad just sitting. After learning that I tended to ride like a moron on the Katana, I decided to sell it to focus on just enjoying the 850. And 2 bikes take up room in the garage.

So, the 850 doesn't have the performance of the Katana, I really do enjoy just having one bike.

My next bike will be water cooled and fuel injected. But at this point, I probably will hang onto the 850, just because I had it for so long, and probably not much in the way of resale value on it. So,eventually I will have 2 bikes again.

  4. I got to shoot a 9mm version of the Keltec on Sunday. Neat firearm. I do agree that the sights could be a bit taller, it was akward getting my cheek onto the stock to line up the sights. I only got to shoot one mag through it, but was kinda neat.

  5. This was my first 22 LR rifle, except mine did not have the accu-trigger.

It is a Savage MKII. I think I paid $125 at Dick's Sporting Goods:

Then, once i got comforable with shooting in general, I picked up this Marlin 795 semi-auto for $99 at Dick's Sporting Goods:

  6. I might have to try B and T, also there is supposed to be a range in Cuyahoga Falls off route 8?

I went to Stonewall, the 9mm feels like a completely new gun with the contour grips. Now, just need to try something different with the sight colors. Currently the front and rear sights are painted white, I think i might try using either model paint or the actual gun sight paint. Maybe the front sight red or orange and the rears bright green?

  7. Ok, I have been up since 1:30 AM. After the early morning shopping, I went with my dad to Toldeo to deliver my welder / generator that sold to my dad's friend. Then I went to Fin Feather Fur, bought some 9mm and .22lr ammo, Ithica brand hunting boots ( did not have Rocky's in my size) and was about to buy a $289 -GSG - 1911 pistol. The only version of the GSG they had had a goofy looking rail under the slide and in front of the trigger guard.

Plan B, go to B and T shooting supply just down the road. They had the "limited edition" version of the GSG 1911 for $429. They could have ordered the standard GSG for $350. This place did have 7.62 X 54R ammo, so I bought 40 rounds.

So far, no 22 pistol for me yet.

  8. I went to Walmart at 3 AM. There was really nothing there to stand in line for to go any earlier.. At 3AM, zero lines, in and out. I got a small Shop-Vac for $19, a 90 count box of skeet clays for $4.97, and a 4 GB flash drive for $5.

I think Walmart over estimated the demand for flat panel TVs. There was still a few pallets full of many different brands and sizes of TV's. Walmart in Bainbridge did not have any 9mm ammo.

The ammo sale at Dick's Sporting Goods really wasn't a deal.It was buy a box,get a box half off. A 100 round white box of Winchester was $32.99. I left without buying anything.

  9. Any closer to a decision scott?

I talked to a friend today and he just picked up the GSG at Fin Feather FUr this week. So probably Sunday I'll with him to the range to try it out. I know I should probaby go for the Buckmark, but I like the looks of the GSG and the ISSC. I even considered the Pheonix Arms 22HP ( but just for a minute).

So, I am still undecided. I think I will wait to try out that GSG. Unless Fin Feather Fur will have super sale on the Buckmark this weekend?
