  1. No, has nothing to do with Audi, or my car in general. I just have no problem with them re-badging the DART and slapping it on a little alfa chassis. Cars back then were so crude it was ridiculous. Most of them did everything horribly, some did the 1/4 mile thing pretty well, but you nearly died if you needed to use the brakes or turned. I guess I don't get the obsession. We don't cling to the old and shitty in any other facet of our lives. People don't use an 80's IBM PC becuase "man it was 50 lbs of sheet metal and loud". No, they buy a new, modern one that does everything better. Go ahead and make another ridiculous statement...
  2. LOL They are crude, loud and suck ass actually. It's funny how sentimental people are when it comes to old crappy cars. How about you fly around in an old rickety plane next time you need to get somewhere? :dumb:
  3. Keep clinging to this old world ideals man. RIP Old people and their cars.
  4. There are no turbo's you nimrod, it's supercharged. :dumb:
  5. Then go drive a V8 6MT one, and fall in love.
  6. PS: Chuck. Do not perform the "baby it" break in. Beat the HELL out of the car...
  7. Of course you would. You have a thing for under - performing V8's that go brap brap brap. :dumb:
  8. PS: The car has already been bought. Please remove KIA suggestions ASAP. PS: Seeing as you work for a Kia dealership, well nevermind. :dumb:
  9. S5 is a great DD. I know Kirk has a friend that's been through several winters with one and loves it. S5 is one of the sexiest cars on the road, and if you want the V8 variant, is a "classic" sexy GT car. Add an exhaust and it's just an amazing sound and a rewarding drive. That being said, some people do have carbon issues, a lot of which depends on how it was broken in, type of oil used, oil change interval, and most importantly, how the car is driven. The gently babied cars who were broken in softly, and get driven 2 miles back and forth to work tend to be the worst of the worst. The cars that are given hell, but have solid 5K OCI are usually good. If the carbon buildup presents itself as a performance or driveability issue, audi will inspect and clean as necessary. That being said, if you can live without the sound, the upcoming 3.0 S/C S5 is better at everything. Fuel economy is way up, no carbon issues to speak of, and can run low 12's with a flash & pulley. Same engine that's in the current S4, and it's a GEM. If you want a GT car with classic V8 sound, the V8 S5 all the way. If you give the nod to performance, fuel economy, and reliability, the 2013+ 3.0 S/C S5 is the way to go.
  10. Miles ? As Sean noted... Valve covers leak Timing belt / water pump maintenance. Stock turbos can go (but less likely on A6) Lots of work requires the motor to be removed Probably due for all of the suspension arms by now. Not a good high miles car to "jump in" unless you are cool with pulling the motor on a whim and it's not your DD.

FYI: you have the wrong size tires on the front. Thanks, :gabe:

White, then black. After having numerous black cars, I agree, nothing looks more amazing than the deep liquid look of clean black paint. That only lasts for 35 seconds until you do so much as MOVE it to a different spot in a parking lot. White is SOO much easier to maintain.
  13. That's because you aren't on LTE numbnuts.....:dumb: Keep drinking that GSM KOOL AID BRO
  14. We have routinely seen 18-22mb & 4-6mb up in good areas. At home usually 14-16mb down and 2-3 up.
  15. Here is an old one from my thunderbolt.. http://farm3.staticflickr.com/2698/5712620606_abc2bd79d9_b.jpg
  16. Unless you can triple that score in a good area...you are DONE SON...:dumb:
  17. Just talkin bandwidth bro.
  18. Don't bench race with what you don't have...... Right now, you don't stand a ghost of a chance against LTE.... :dumb:
  19. At the moment, most run 2 radios so you can talk & surf at the same time. In the future, there will be 4G lte w/ VOIP so it will still not matter. Going forward, it's a non issue. Let me know when you want to speedtest bro... :dumb:
