Good deal, yes. However, you can go to Vances right now and get Federal ammo in .40 for less than $15 a box of 50. 20 boxes would run you $300+ tax. So for, let's call it $60, to get it local and know what you're shooting. If anyone has shot this ammo, I like the deal more if there are no issues.

I can't say what Dales pricing it for sure. And I don't follow the Glock lines at all. From what I have seen, Dale does great pricing and I like doing business with him. And I get GOV pricing at Vances and still order from Dale.

^^ well said. Another truth I'm realizing is that most RX7 owners, myself included, don't recommend you buy one. Yet we would defend our own endlessly though.

This is true for all guns. if the seller is listing it that way, it's just really odd.

I would be more cautious to who fires one round through a gun and decides to sell it. That's just weird and very doubtful. Was the one round to kill themselves and it didn't work, so they are selling the gun? In all seriousness; if it functions and operates well, with only one rounds worth of wear, I would get into the $3xx and be more comfortable.

What are you going to do with the car? Drag, road course, autocross, weekend cruiser? Remember, the FD was made for handling and make their power on the go, without modifying them. Even modded, you are looking at a rear end that's not make for hard launching. They are amazing cars that take the right care to run right. There are few people in the area who actually know these cars and you could find yourself at their mercy for time and pricing to get work done. That said, I had to learn FD's from scratch, so it can't be that hard if I grasp it. Things to know: Spark plugs are $5-$9 each, depending on your set up, X4 and they are replaced about every 1500 miles. Oil and filter change is about every 1500 miles also. Blown motor is usually just a seal kit for $500, plus labor. then basically it's a fresh motor. I don't remember the last Apex seal that went on a car from anyone I know. Well over 5 years I would say. I would almost say that is a fixed issue in these cars, so long as they are cared for. Even if you totally destroy your motor, a fresh one can be had pretty cheap and even be ported. They are on ebay all the time with trans for $1500ish. There are tons of little things to these cars. People will chime in more. But that should give you an idea.

If you are looking for a shield, my guy has a few coming in. EVERY place is on back order for the 9mm. The .40 is a little easier to get, but still a small wait usually. FWIW, I gave away a LCP. Person wanted it and I couldn't sell them something that jammed all the time and I considered unreliable. Several other people I know have had similar issues with this weapon. I'm Ruger fan, just not LCP.

If I recall, that was the rule for my last track day as well. But that would have been Beaver Run or Mid Ohio. And I think it can be polyester shirts or pants, for fire reasons. For some reason that is coming to mind.

Paul, all the info you have asked for has been stated in here. So most things added are going to become repeat info. What's funny about Howard telling you about an AR, is actually from a pic posted on here, I thought you may have seen it. It was Howard, out shooting with some new gear and he looked like a kid in a candy store, that happy. It was just a funny pic with him with a huge grin, wearing his new gear. Howard is also one of the most eager weapons enthusiast/SHTF friends I have. He doesn't have military experience, so he too, had to learn AR's from scratch. I don't think anyone is shitting in your thread. There's a ton of great info here. Get someone to be with you on this to check that you are getting a good deal and a quality weapon. Have them go with you to look at all you may be interested in. Set the $ amount you can spend. See what's available. If you don't find what you want at a lower amount, save till you have the $ for what you want. If I lived in Columbus still, I would walk you through all this. Truth is, in over the counter weapons, I'm not that great with the name brands. I got through a dealer out in Hilliard, Dale. He gets me anything I want, But I find what I want online and discuss it with friends in that are guru's, like Scotty. Don't be too quick to pull the trigger. Everyone has AR fever right now. So find the right deal for you on a quality gun. It has to last. It has to shoot every time you pull the trigger. And it has to hit its mark. That's the menu. That's it. If you are looking for the quickest point and shoot, I would go to an optic. though that will set you back a bit for a good one. It would depend how much time you have with the weapon to determine what would be quickest or the best fit for you. Sorry if I'm being vague, but I don't want to assume or mislead you.
