  1. You know damn well everyone still says CAC cards. It's gubment, ain't gots ta make no sense.
  2. Careful not to confuse all CAC cards with and actual military ID. They look the same, but rank indicated or civilian will be shown. Also, DOD employee's get these and look close to it. They are all CAC cards. You have to look at what they say and most people don't, then get away with saying they are in the military.
  3. Someone had posted about getting a free golf if you are handicapped with a placard. Just called mid ohio, they referred me to the golf cart company, this is what they said. "LOL. No, that is not correct. $100 the first day and $75 each day after. No discounts. No nothing".
  4. This seems to be something many people are interested in, but not posting very much. I have talked to 2 people this week and tried to answer questions for them. I may not have the answers, but I'll do all I can to point you in the right direction. Military experience is not needed for all Jobs. I don't care if you have only worked at a fast food joint, there is a job in food service that pays $80K to work in the chow hall. Point being, you are probably more qualified than you think for some jobs. Job title is not always a make sense thing. They call it one thing, but then you read the description and realize, hey I can do that. Just read what the companies have posted and check back weekly for new postings. There are a lot of people on this site that really want to do this, based on my above stated lack of obligations. They have told me they are in the same boat. Quit waiting for someone to tell you the one thing you think might be out there to stop you from looking into it, and send your resume. NOW, if you go over seas and are in an area of conflict, UNDERSTAND THE RISKS FOR THE AREA YOU WILL BE IN. Rockets don't care where they land. They don't care if you are military, or civilian. They are pointed at US bases and don't care if they hit a truck, a water tower, a soldier or civilian, or if they even go off. You have to be careful and that all there is. Google the companies above. Click on the site and look for the careers/jobs section. Start reading them carefully. Call or pm me with questions. Understand, I have not been a contractor. I just know there are great opportunities with them, long and short term.
  5. It only cost me 50 seconds of my life to realize not to take advice from you. A bargain now that I see it that way.
  6. Had been there years ago, and was there 10 days ago. We now have the area added to our "places to avoid" list. It has attractions, adventures, and tons of places to stay. However, the people that are there made us hate that we stopped there. It was worse than going back to the trailer park I grew up in. And it seemed like every family of 9 kids was there. The lines were murder just to get breakfast. Our shower worked in our hotel room, but I don't think anyone elses did, or maybe they just didn't use them. Body odor like I was back over seas. That was it for us and we hit the road to GTFO there. Then it seemed to take forever to move through all the traffic, plus the speed limit is really low for a loooooong way. This was the first time the girl and I have travel together in that area. She LOVED Deals Gap. It's not far from the area you are looking at either, and you can take the Blue Ridge parkway for a short clip if you map it right. In the future our plan is to stay at Deals a week and see the out laying area from there. We jet skied, hiked, swam, and of course we ran the Tail of the Dragon every morning. It's just depends on your tolerance level and we had had enough.
  7. I took a dump this morning. It smelled just like shit. Couldn't believe it.
  8. The standby list is noted. I will be in touch when and if I can get extra out there.
  9. I even looked and didn't see it here. I reposted
  10. Isn't it back at Trails again in August too?
  11. Pulled from Remington Forum When the Express model came out the word Magnum was being used to designate the Law Enfocement Models. When they started using the word Police for those then this freed up the word Magnum and it was started to be used on the Express. Every 870 that has a serial number ending in the letter "M" is a magnum receiver and all the new ones in the RS serial number range are magnum receivers. So you have the two of the same weapons with different Marketing words on them that have nothing to do with the weapon. "Magnum" on a Remington means it can feed 3" shells also. 2-3/4" is the "typical" 12 ga. shell size. As far as accuracy... 3" generally punishes your shoulder more for little benefit. If shooting 3" 00, the recoil isn't really worth the extra 3 pellets. If you don't get the job done with 9 pellets in 2-3/4", it's doubtful that the extra shot in a 3" shell would help either, and you would need a follow up shot anyway. Different ammo brands can affect accuracy also. Try out a few and see what your gun "likes".
  12. It's only a print, not stamped. Most were worn off or had heavy signs of wear.
  13. That's a very different weapon, still being an 870 though.
  14. So far, yes. I'll be talking to my unit movement officer today, so hopefully he will have some better news. Hang in there folks.
  15. Yes, at the bottom of the stock, under where your hand rests to fire. Something to watch for is to make sure you know what you are getting, as they have the Magnums and the Express all together. Some may not care, but some may. Just an FYI.
  16. Apparently I can't edit, or I would the post above. Not sure how all that garbage got attached, but it's somewhat impressive.
  17. I will be looking for your both. Good to know they will be there.
  18. I picked through about 15 of them and found one I like. I would much rather deal with Dale, but I did get one. The I went to Dales to order another gun I wanted. haha
  19. Hoblick, I'm in with you on this track day if that's still cool. My dude Brian said he's interested too. When and who gets the $$?
  20. Got mine this weekend and wearing it now. Do like. Thanks
  21. Picked one up the other day. They are getting 1500 more in.
  22. Hands down, take it to Ryan Hoblick in Hillard. He owns Shop Dog Cycles. He's worked with me several times over the past two years, and even now prepping for a track day next week. He's straight forward and realistic to the problem and the fix. And what he charges always seems to be more of a hook up. Just good things all the way around. His number 614-256-3407.
