  1. I will be getting an Aimpoit "like" optic. But I took the one I was issued off over here. I qualified with it and liked it ok, but shot a 33 out of 40, varying distance from 50-300 yrds. . I put an ACOG on and liked the options. Made an insane 100yrd golfball shot first try, but ended up taking that off too. I don't have a need for the optics in my situations right now. I shot 38 out of 40, same as other course, with iron sights. I have always been able to be between 38-40. I think with more shoot time, the same comfort level and accuracy can be there. Anyone shot these at over 300? What's hard for me to justify is if the optic fails. I have never heard of anyone's failing. That's just where my head is. I would be interested to see what accuracy and distance you guys have experienced with these optics.
  2. Missed this yesterday, but saw it on Not Brians FB this morning. It was a struggle to get through it. Choked up about the whole damn time. THAT dude is a champ!! Love to read about the support toward him to now. And the guy ridingon the hood holding him down for 6 miles..... that guy should be waking up to a BJ everyday. I read the comments above too. Thank you guys. I haven't had anything happen outside the wire. it's when we come in that shit happens to us. We had a VBAD come through the fence and a few other things. I'd rather be on mission then on base. And Nate, well you Sir, we will have a drink when I see you in June at the Rally. Won't we? Thanks to all whole are moved by the experiances that soldiers are challenged with.
  3. Stay safe and hit me up if there's anything I might be able to help with from here.
  4. My bad, he's on Dubs, near you. 84th is out of Akron/Canton. I'm cross leveled to them as well.
  5. Happy with the service the Suby has had and is there for. BTW, can you ask Holland to shoot me an email? Thanks Jeff.
  6. Too fast for me, but shounds like a good deal. GLWS
  7. Doc's in here policing things up from the go. GL, this intro seems ok.
  8. I see your guys here. I'm guessing you know SSG. Hercenberg? He's in the 37th and on Pheniox with you. He and I worked at RTI together for a while as instructors for WLC. I'm the Truck Master for the 1484th here. As for your car; you have a while left here. Take your time to research cars of interest. No need to pull the trigger right away on something you won't drive for a while.
  9. Was at Kabul for a second a couple months ago when I did some work out of TK. Mostly at KAF now. Guessing you're with the 37th?
  10. What base are you on, or what RC section are you in?
  11. No reason to waste money, is there? After all, you say you drive a MAXXPRO. $1.5 million truck with 1025 fttq, should keep you happy until you find something with more promise. Cut the cord and be done with the old project.
  12. They opened registration in early December 2011 I think, for 2012. I believe it filled in 28 days, or close to it. We could both do it in Subaru's next year.
  13. I will take it as an insult if I do not see you there Sir. Berto needs to show as well.
  14. We saw crooks get paid and take advantage of people, even their friend's and partners. Glad we both aren't there anymore and hope they have been poor and friendless.
  15. Reading this thread just reminded me why I am happier carrying a gun for work rather than being a broker anymore.
  16. My primary will be in my hand or slung. Shotty will be strapped to the pack. My "light" and your "light" are going to be different. My extra 5-10lbs I can work with. I can see where this sounds contradictive. I based it off what I know I can carry. Situation will always dictate, but for the most part, that's how I would roll I agree with having it for someone who hasn't trained with a weapon much.
  17. I know it was busy for you too. I was going to crash your Bday outting, but had plans already that night. I just checked the dates and right now I have an obligation I need to work on getting out of so I can go. I'm hating on this obligation.
  18. http://www.sportsmansguide.com/net/cb/AR-15-Ejection-Port-Cover.aspx?a=800841&pm2d=CSE-SPG-3-GOOGLE&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cse Pretty sure I'm setting one up with Zombie Hunter. Sup bitch?
  19. I'll see what I have laying around. I have a M203 sight, I was thinking of putting on mine. Just trying totell myself I don't need a 37mm attachment. LOL
  20. Congrats. shoot me an email or PM with full pic and I'll see what I have laying around I can get to you. Working on 300+ mags I'm trying to ship back. When I get back, I'll help you dial that thing in. We need to get to the range. I have 2 toys I haven't even shot yet.
  21. Too close to my prep time for the Dixie Rally, or I would be all over this. Have fun.
  22. Chris, i would like the option to run some of this by someone. If you wouldn't mind asking, I would appreciate it. I'm not home until the summer to really go over things, but it's on my mind quite a bit lately. Clay, I value your outlook and consider you a wealth of knowledge in your field. Pun intended. Thank you for extending your offer to help. The VA and military stuff in pretty cut and dry. Based on at this time, you get $xxxx. I feel I am in the early stages still, but I'm trying to wrap my head around things. I have the current info and follow it as it increases due to cost of living. If you wouldn't mine keeping your offer to discuss this open, I would like to follow up with you once I'm back in Columbus. Thanks
