  1. Great summery and explanation, Doc. Thank you. Fishing and hunting have absorbed most of my interest and willingness to invest time into. I really did enjoy the two rallies I did with RNA.
  2. As always, great recap, Doc. If it's not too much trouble, can you explain how they are issuing the check point info and challenges now? A big reason I stopped being interested in this was that teams would have tribes of friends and family back home solving all the destination clues for them. It took away from the driver and passenger solving things on the go. That's what I enjoyed about it.
  3. If I was building, I would do electric heat and AC and add a 30KW house generator. It would still be less than what I was looking at spending for a new geo system, and it would provide far more benefit to the house functionality. We currently have a 15KW generator to run the essentials in the house. But it is not set up for heat or AC. I have propane heat sources should we lose power in the winter. As for losing power in the hot months, drink water and suck it up. I need my well pump, septic, water heater, freezer, fridge, microwave and several other key areas to have power from the generator. I have a propane griddle and burner, so I can cook without power. If I want to use my pellet smoker, I can run it off the outlet on the 15K or my portable. I keep 3-4, 20lb tanks at the house. I also keep a portable 3600w gas generator for any other things that would need power. If I was buying again, I would buy a duel fuel generator, propane and gas. Solar is something I feel I have spent a good bit of time looking into, wind also. I just don't feel storing the power and generating it is at a point where I can invest in it and rely on it the way I would want to. My pockets aren't deep enough to justify it.
  4. I replied to this last night on my computer but apparently I forgot to post it. So now I’m on my phone using voice to text while driving all over Ohio. We had geothermal in our house that we bought in the spring of 2013. January 2014 that geothermal system died. It was a pre-1980 system and replacing it would require digging up the pipes in the ground as well as buying a new unit. We were looking at a cost of more than $40,000. We ended up going with a unit that is all electric with a big emphasis on energy efficiency. It’s a bit overkill for our home that is only 2200 ft.², but it is a 4 ton communicating system.
  5. What was the damage in the accident? Damaged fender? Take her to a junk yard and have her buy a fender, Already damaged would be great, if not bang it up. Then have her sand it all down and tap out the dents to reform and get it shaped right again. Then set up an area to get the paint done, and have her do it. If the paint is bad, sand it down and start over. It will be bad. I don't have kids. I'd be a fan of taking her fender off and banging it up for her to repair as stated above. Consequences that suck, teach hard lessons. There's a fine line between too far and lesson learned. This would teach her something about the repair process and enforce it is not worth damaging things. Maybe have all expenses be covered by her earning the money to pay for it. If insurance goes up, and you have been paying insurance, she will ow cover the increase. I think you have done great with getting her into drivers training, but this may have turned into the kid who went to self defense classes and now is trying to use what they learned on other kids. Driving is a skill. It's dangerous and what you learn is to keep you safe, not to show off for others.
  6. Ryan is a solid shooter and very safety minded. If anyone is looking for a clay thrower, I have one similar to the one in the link below. Mine has a battery tray so you don't have the battery sitting on the ground. Would like to get $300 for it. Only used it 3 times and I would like to free up the space it takes up. https://www.championtarget.com/all-products-2/wheelybird-auto-feed-trap/CH-40909.html

However, it does seem to do what you are asking from an app.
  8. Tractor hit most of it. Shotguns are a multi-tool to me. Remington 870's are hard to beat for the reliability and price point, I think I have 4 of them. The Remington 1100 semi autos may be worth looking into also, but your price cap may struggle. I recently picked up a Citadel semi 12, and I'm on the process of trying to break it. Less than $300 for a semi 12 is hard to pass up. It very well may be the HI Point of shotguns, but people are liking them and I had a couple hundred buck I didn't care about. First tear down proved there were some corners cut in the making of the gun. 15 minutes smoothing out rough machining made me feel better, but none of it effected the gun functioning. Adding to tube extension to make it a 8 round mag is nice too. Sights are shit, but that is a cheap and easy fix. In the end, I hope to have a reliable truck gun that I can laugh about and not care if I run it over. 20G Rem 870, youth model, can be had for $269 usually. LOL all you want about it being youth model. We have about 10 shotguns, and this is my go to almost all the time. Wife works well with it, 12G is a bit much for what she likes. I can quick grab it and blast a groundhog, and not lose any more hearing. Ammo has been available and slugs are enough to drop a deer and not damage/lose a lot of meat from a huge hole, like a 12G.
  9. You follow a community in hope of hearing issues to look out for that others may be having, and to help if you can. Then it turns out to be a constant dick measuring contest. If CR all had the same vehicle, I guess. Not woke enough to know what "smol" means.
  10. People on the F150 pages are the worst. Everyone says the other person is a pussy if they don't have a lifted 5.0. Those with lifted trucks, never leave the pavement. If you buy a EV truck, you like dick in your butt. "Be a real man, like me" is the theme to almost every post. Followed by can 35's fit without a lift? I'm just trying to tow a boat to go fishing, or ride my side by side. I didn't realize I was supposed to hard flex the truck every time I drive it.
  11. If they were available in the trim and options I want, I would have traded my 3.5EB already.
  12. I'm not entertaining your accusations to unpack all the bullshit you spewed. You are simply argumentative with any comment that does not compliment what you say. I don't need you to agree with me and I don't need you to concede and say I'm right. Your post's will away twist what someone says to play your angle you want to play. You are a tremendous waste of time. There is no discussion with you. You are right, and everyone must agree with you, or you will bore them to death with your online assault. Girl attacking someone with a knife got shot before she could hurt them. Fuck around and find out, she did.
  13. Help me understand why you think you have reason to fear an interaction with LE? If there's a good chance you think it could be you in a situation being shot by LE, why would LE act in a manner that would make you feel threatened by them.
  14. What flavor is the Kool aid you are drinking? I think there might be a little something in that Kool aid. I accept that there are a group of Americans that fear LE because they were brought up to hate and fear them. I also accept that there are people who do stupid things and have a reason to fear interaction with LE that is going to hold them accountable for their actions. I have nothing to fear for my actions, so again, their shoes do not fit me. I conduct myself within the Constitution and the laws of where I live. I understand that should I decide to violate laws, there are consequences. I am accountable for my actions. The people I can not relate to are those who do not want to be accountable for their actions, and think they get to play the victim card when they are held accountable.
  15. The very first thing I teach people are the 5 rules. 1. Don't go to stupid places 2. with stupid people 3. who do stupid things 4. because those are stupid games 5. with stupid prizes These are rules to live by, and if you don't, then you are likely in a situation you die by. I also teach to treat everyone as your friend, but have a plan to protect yourself against them. Can't really run around with the full quote from retired General Mattis concept, so just a little tweak. Fear of surviving an interaction with LEO is a direct reflection of the person's actions. No case is won outside the courtroom, so comply and get your day in court. You don't have to like it. I won't put myself in their shoes, because they don't fit. They did something stupid. I don't wear those stupid shoes. So they just don't fit me, and for most people. That's the privilege I have, I'm not doing stupid things. As much as I'm sure you are hardened by the streets, and you and Lebron are upset that people can't just stab each other without getting shot by LEO, that is just stupid. I can't put myself in your shoes to have that outlook. If you have that kind of outlook, there's a good chance you are going to do something stupid and should fear LEO's. Sure, that could be you then. Sounds stupid, doesn't it?
  16. Opp, I was all ready to be in your corner and then out of nowhere you went off the deep end into victimism for those victimizing others. . Damn, so close. "Fragile white male ego", you are CR's very own CNN. Where the hell did I leave those tissues I have been saving up for all the sad stories of stupid people doing stupid things and dying from it? CR's very own Clergy is here to tell the people how they should feel. And, to shame them for not pouring out some liquor for someone dying in the street. You are damn right "Holes poked in you" is the verbage. A threat is no longer a person to care for. No different than a machine. I will talk in desensitizing a kill in just that way. You can not rationalize irrational actions. And a threat to life is no longer a person you care about their feelings. Now, I understand I have hurt your feelings. You are appalled that someone can be this way. I get that. I too am appalled that we have people among us so selfish that they can not control themselves, ego and their urges to where they attack others. And here you are, trying to hold their hand and tell them you are on their side and feel bad for the situation they got themselves into. You want to comfort the situation for the person who showed no care for others.
  17. If you are an adult size threat with a weapon, attacking people, you get holes poked in you until you stop being a threat. "She", gender is no factor. "16 years old", not a factor when you are about 230lbs and attacking multiple people and certainly one smaller and unarmed. Media will always exploit age, sex and religion for the purpose of out cry. They use that bias to trigger people to be upset. When is the media going to be held accountable for their implications resulting in crowds that cause damage and violence? They are literally creating their next headlines by pushing the buttons to trigger the naive people.
  18. People say and do many things that, looking back, may not have been the best or just wrong. So does this mean they can never say or do anything right? Please tell me a person well known who has never misspoke or said anything regrettably.
  19. 20/4 is so hard for most people. I just won $950 from a biggest loser contest being on 20/4. Hardly hit the workouts hard and did yoga and stretching. Lost 26lbs in 9 weeks.
  20. I own four of these and run them on all my field guns for hunting. The quality at that price point is almost unmatched. Normal pricing on this is high 300s depending on what site you buy from. This is a pretty good deal
  21. Information is the key and it’s tough to get the right answers for you. I read a lot. Below is a link to one book that gets 99% of the topics we need to know covered. And, it’s delivered in make sense terms, verbiage and examples. If you are not doing intermittent fasting a couple a year, you are missing out on some great things. The author is the main owner of Onnit nutrition. Own the Day, Own Your Life: Optimized Practices for Waking, Working, Learning, Eating, Training, Playing, Sleeping, and Sex https://www.amazon.com/dp/0062684078/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_5GQ7XPFVYY39EHS99FR2 When my Dad died in 2018, I took my food and body care a lot more serious. I unfucked my sleeping and got my circadian rhythm in check. My food, my habits and my function are all as basic as a caveman. My hunting and fishing are more serious, because that’s my food. Don’t get me wrong the once a month pizza is delicious.
  22. I'm going to pry, so bare with me. "I eat healthy". Like food pyramid healthy, or I actually know what food is and the food pyramid is all messed up? Easy route, given what you said about being on prednisone. Stress or another factor has your cortisol levels elevated and joint inflammation was relieved with the prednisone. Get you some yoga. That's right, I said it. Yoga, pilates and stretching in general will get you that feel good you took a pill for, with long term benefits. Low testosterone may need to be checked out too. Again, cortisol being a asshole, can effect your T levels. And there is your lack of energy. If you have a diet with high carbs, 2-3 pm hates you and you want a nap. Have I mentioned yoga? You don't have to like it, but as guys in our 40's, we are fucking meatheads for the most part, and just lifting weights for workouts is likely our past. Now we feel out of whack with muscle mass and joint mobility. How we doing so far?
  23. I'm 46 and off energy drinks for a while now. Don't get me wrong, I really like Redbull, but it is terrible for you. My energy level is pretty high because of my diet and activity level. So the first thing I would ask is, what is your diet like? 99% of the time, that is your energy issue. Stress and cortisol levels are going to play a factor too, but let us know what you eat.
