Glad that fountain is working out and the other care is working out on your pond. Sounds like you are enjoying it. Perch are going to do best on minnow or worm and bobber probably.

That's a great looking cat and good size for eating.

I have thinned out six in a week from a problem area on our property. The issue for more comes in seeing them to take the shot. Rarely will you get a daytime shot. I bait them and have them on trail cam to know when they will be there. Night vision and a IR light are where it’s at for me. I shoot a round that is less than half the size of a .22, a 17gn bullet. A pellet gun and shot placement are plenty for a coon.

I held off replying, because I tend to be a bit matter of fact. Most of it has been said though. This is a comfort issue. She's not comfortable, because she is not educated. You started out with "no kids in the house", now it sounds like one is on the way? If that is the case, of course she is in mother mode. But remind her, you need to stay in father mode. And, slowing down the ability to protect the family is like putting a lock, not just a plug, over every outlet. So what is the compromise? Go get everything needed to "baby/toddler proof" the house. Help her install it all. However, she must put in the time to be familiar with the firearms too. Hidden storage is likely your best answer for both of you. This concept seems reasonable.

Thanks for the shoutout, Jesse. I'm just getting back from 2 weeks vacation, so just seeing this now. I think RedRocket hit it. It's likely one of those springs. While I am not a Gun Smith, it is a tentative plan to go to school for it when I retire in 2 years. I just got the last of my tools in that I have been putting together for the school. At this point, I'd say I "advise and help". I'm not qualified to fix.

Great pics. Sounds like an amazing trip. I follow an overlanding page and those guys really get into it. Some of it is way overkill, but they are set up to live well while they are out there. I'm a fan of the T100's and they are getting hard to find in good shape.

Whoever is heading out to ride and looking for another person, shoot me a message. If I'm not fishing, I'd be down to ride.

I have done quite a few track events, between having a bike and a car on road courses. They cost a lot, and it became something I stopped doing. Now with the cars gone, I can drive the buggy like a rally car, or a trophy truck. The cost to ride is usually really cheap, like $20-$40 for the weekend, or $100 for the year. You have freedom on these trail systems, and the people are the most redneck, I mean that as a compliment, millionaires you would never know are out there. They are all friendly and willing to help, they are there to blow off steam too.

I'll have to check that place out. We rode the weekend before in WV, at Rush. Buying a SXS is a terrible waste of money. It's literally saying here's $10K I don't care about and I'm going to go beat it up for fun. BUUUUUT, how do you put a price on a smile and having fun? I love mine, and enjoy working on it and doing things to it more than I did with cars I was modding. I rolled my buggy last time out. Just a slow lay down on it's side. Climbed out, flipped it back over and it fired right up and we drove off. Nothing broke. Nothing was an issue later. Small cracked plastic piece, and tons of fun the next two days of riding. The biggest issue I see with these, is people don't do maintenance. Best deals I have found are to join the facebook pages for them, and watch for people selling them that don't have time or a place to ride. I got a Can Am Maverick 100R, with 356 miles on it for $10K. It had about $2500 in upgrades too. The guy I bought from, his wife was on him about the monthly payment and never riding.

Ordered one from Ebay Friday. Thanks guys.

I have about a gallon and a half of 50/50 cut water and meth. It is in a big race gas jug. I'll make a really good deal with someone who wants it. I'm in Johnstown. Cleaning the garage and tired of moving it.

For a Map charting app for fishing, and a trail map program for trail rides.

Looking for IPAD 3 or newer. Must have cellular+WIFI. I need it for the GPS, so earlier models will not fit my needs. Models: A1430, A1403, A1459, A1460, A1823, A1954, A2200, A2198. The cheaper the better. Let me know what you have. Thank you

Went to Chase in Johnstown and they said they didn't.

Many banks won't notarize an auto title. Bank of America, Kemba and chase won't. Probably more. I'd just call ahead and ask first.

Fair enough. They went bankrupt, but were bought immediately 3-4 years ago. The free shipping deals fell off then. That made buying from them a steal. Pricing seems to be up a little.
-
For 5-6 years now, I have used their 9mm and .223 almost exclusively for range and never had an issue. Also, their 6.5CM deals and ammo have been good.

A second for Nanuk. You are going to pay for it, but it's the highest quality I have found. I only know their gun cases. I'm not sure what your equipment is, but would something like this work? I have the 3 pieces and have had no issues in 4 years. https://www.homedepot.com/p/RIDGID-22-in-Pro-Gear-Cart-Tool-Box-in-Black-222573/205441921

That Diamondback is probably one of my favorite all around scopes right now, for ability and price point. I have three of them and run them on everything from my 10/22 yard gun (whatever is in the yard that shouldn't be), to a .308 deer gun (not Ohio). Good luck with sale.

Even if you can't make the cruise, Derek's BBQ is great incredible. Come grab some food and see cars. I'd like to get some staged and legit pics of the Rx7 for the for sale post. Anyone able to snap some and edit them up? I'll buy your lunch or throw some $ if needed.

A buddy and I replace my door. I opted for a framed in door. As with everything we have worked on in this house, we uncovered more problems. When we removed the old door we found it was not installed correctly, leveled or braced where it should have been. I understand a house will settle, this was more than what that would be. In the end, I ended up redoing much of the area around the door, just to frame it in correctly. Check, check and recheck horizontal and vertical level, as well as ensuring the framing is not twisted in the opening. Double check clearance or gap from existing floor to threshold. Our corrected frame install created an issue with the door clearing the floor to threshold to close. A house built in 1971 has been educational and very frustrating at times. There are some pretty elaborate doors out there. Ours was just a framed door with no side window. If I ever replace another door, it will be a solid hardwood door. We put in a metal door for insulating value and weatherization. What I know now is that these doors are 1/16" metal front and back and a slab, not sprayed in, of styrofoam slid into them. I was quoted $1000 for the install. With all the issues we ran into, it would have turned into far more than that. And at that point, I would have had to pay it. Glad a buddy was willing to help and had done a few before. That said, more than likely, you and a buddy can do this. I break things really well. I don't fix things so good. It wasn't that bad. There's a good vid linked in this. https://www.menards.com/main/doors-windows-millwork/exterior-doors/front-doors/mastercraft-reg-dark-oak-woodgrain-prefinished-3-panel-mission-steel-external-grille-exterior-door-system/4145528/p-1517988688819-c-9356.htm
