Easiest thing to do (if you don't have open intakes) is spray the engine down with muti purpose orange cleaner. Drive the car to the car wash and leave the engine running while you spray it off. If you can find a car wash with a hot water rinse (Bethel Rd), that works best.Close the hood and run the car for 10 minutes or so. This steam cleans the engine. You may need to repeat in a week or so. If you have a ratty engine bay with exposed wires and connections, don't do this.This may not be the way to go with some cars, but works great for many.

A weekend at a road course is $1000 in my eyes. When I've gone to Beaver Run and then Mid-Ohio with the BMW club. Both had instructors and they were about $300+ each for the weekend. My other $600 is in parts. Basically you are going to need new rotors and pads. And if you run street tires on a road course, there is a very good chance you'll be replacing those too. I was able to get through both weekends on the same tires, Dunlop FM 901 sports. Not the best tire either, but it did well for me. Let's not forget gas, at least 94 octain, I would have to think everyone would run that. Nelson Ledges sounds like the way to go right now. I think they have open track day once a month for like $175. Not sure on that though.

I did it twice. The first time it picked the # next to mine, 18 instead of 17. The next time my # was 33. It picked 17. wrong both times. there are only 9-11 symbols. there's a good chance it will hit.

As some of you have seen, my drivers side door has a nasty scratch on it. I would like to get an estimate this week so I can have the person reasponable pay for it. I would like to have the work done asap. I don't want to drive all over town or leave messages for people and not get called back. Might have the whole car painted instead of just the door if the quaity and price are right.

Everything said I didn't have to. But, I was tired of fucking around with how to get everything to fit for the a/c. So, I justified it with the weight reduction. I don't know what I would have done if I had gone with a FMIC.
