  1. Hi, Chris. Welcome. You know I am bias towards Honda's. (Since I myself have a Blue Beast 2006 Honda CBR1000RR.) LOL Glad to see you made it here. I sent you a pm with my personal contact info if it is easier for meeting up. Look forward to riding with Mike and you. Take care. OhioBob
  2. Welcome to the forum. Glad to see you found it. Yes, I look forward to doing some riding with you too. Can't wait to see that Duc in action. Next couple of days are supposed to amazing...especially for November. I will be riding the Blue Beast (CBR1000RR) after work tomorrow, if you are game.
  3. I agree, whatever product fits "you" better is the one for that individual. However, what makes you say that the Bell is nicer than the Scorpion? Thanks.
  4. Tonik, Thanks for your reply. If I was up in the air between the new Bell Star (street) helmet and the Scorpion EXO-R2000 helmet, which would you lean towards? What if the R2000 helmet was discounted by half (under $200)? Thanks again.
  5. Hi, I am looking, well wasn't, but now am looking for a new lid to replace my aging Bell Star (Snell2005). It has been a great lid, but has probably been a little bigger than should be on me. I wear a Large for most helmets. Anyways, I stumbled on to some truly or seemingly great deals of Scorpion riding gear. So, has anyone had/tried the Scorpion EXO-R2000 full face helmet? If so, how did/do you like it over the long haul? How has it stood the test of time? Have you had other lids? If so, how does the R2000 compare to those? Ride Hard or what's the point? OhioBob
  6. Very true statement. I have met several over just the last year and none of them had ever heard of OhioRiders.net. So, sad. All we can do is keep spreading the word. Ride Hard or what's the point. OhioBob
  7. Nobody? Come on someone knows the guy (or gal). I am looking for local riding buddies. I am usually a lone wolf, because I can ride my pace and not worry about others falling behind or wrecking trying to keep up, etc., but other times I wish I had a group/crew to enjoy these great twisty roads in Southern Ohio with.
  8. Correction: SP2 leather pants & SJ2 leather jacket
  9. Does anyone know if the Scorpion S2P leather pants will zip up with the Scorpion Clutch leather jacket? I know the pants will work with the Scorpion S2J leather jacket that I already have, but was wondering about it with the Clutch jacket since it is a full perforated jacket whereas the S2J isn't. I tried searching the web with no solid answer to that question. Just was wondering. Thanks. OhioBob
  10. I went with a Motion Pro Digital Tire Pressure Gauge ( https://www.amazon.com/Motion-Pro-08-0468-Digital-Pressure/dp/B006LAD61S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1470088692&sr=8-1&keywords=motion+pro+digital+tire+pressure+gauge ) after my el' cheapo Pit Posse gauge started acting up. I use my Motion Pro gauge on my cars, bikes, etc. I love it and well worth the cost in the long run. Besides, tire pressures are important to me to get the last bit of grip, mileage out of my bike tires, etc.
  11. So, who rides the SV1000S or knows who rides the SV1000S in Leesburg, Ohio. just wondering. Looking for other local sporty riders in my neighborhood. Ride Hard or else What's the point. OhioBob
  12. Which bikes will be up for the demo rides at the Pony? Diavel? Hypermotard? Monster 1200R? Mulistrada 1200 Pikes Peak? Scrambler? Streetfighter?
  13. Hi, looking for guys(or gal(s)) that were at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro today (Sunday). Looked like both were riding FZ-09's or something similar looking. Would love to meet up and ride with you. I know all the grew roads around here. Always looking for others to ride with. Ride Hard or what's the point. OhioBob
  14. Just trying to find other local sporty bike riders near me.
  15. Anybody know a John from Wilmington that rides a lowered and stretched Kawasaki 636? OhioBob
  16. So, I have been eyeing the new Suzuki GSX-S1000 and it got me looking over reviews how it compares to other bikes in the same class (i.e. Speed Triple, Ducati Monster, Kawasaki Z1000, and yes the CB1000R). For some reason the CB1000R is often overlooked as a great street bike of the super standard (naked) class. Not sure why, because all my research and YouTube videos has discovered it should be one of the top picks for this class. So, as I said before, during my research and diving further into this new class of bikes, I started wondering which would others prefer for street use / hooliganism, the CBR1000RR or CB1000R. So, which would you pick for street use only? Why? I am seriously thinking of getting rid of my VTX1300C and replace it with a super standard (naked) bike and keep my 2006 CBR1000RR too. To be honest, I have singled it down to two in the super standard class, Honda CB1000R and the Suzuki GSX-S1000. I have always thought the streetfighter (stripped down sportbike (liter bike)) was an amazing idea. The performance of a sportbike and comfy ergo's of a streetbike.) Just wondering. OhioBob
  17. Yeah, I plan to buy a Baxley Sport chock next year. Thanks again.
  18. Ok, I took the dive. $400+ later (ouch) and I have a full set of the best sport bike stands coming to my garage very soon. Thanks to everyone for your help/support. OhioBob
  19. Or would LP Phillips stands be a better alternative, but a little cheaper price than Pit Bull?
  20. Would you say that the GPI Industries stands are the best alternative to the best (Pit Bull) in the market?
  21. Outstanding. Thanks for replying. Do you use them to store the bike off the ground for the winter? Thanks again.
  22. Hi, trying to decide whether GPI Industries stands are a great alternative (second choice) compared to Pit Bull stands. Anyone use/try/recommend GPI Industries stands? If so, what's your take/opinion on them? http://gpiindustries.com Thanks in advance. OhioBob
