I'm not sure how this is a reason to carry. Are you planning on getting into a shoot out with a robber? Shoot him in the back when he's robbing the place? I've got nothing against it, just curious on the thought process.

I was up there around 1:30 I think. I went to leave earlier, but as soon as opened the garage doors to leave it started to downpour. I'm not sure it's "technically" against the rules, but the idea is when you get someone's tag, to get it now and not use an old photo. Otherwise it eventually just turns into people posting old pictures back and forth. It's fine to use an old photo to post a new tag though, to help with the pace of the game.

Not really, other than a couple of scrapes from trying to move it around (it's not light) it's in pretty good shape. It's a little dusty, which is accentuated by the flash. I'm not trying to get much out of it, just trying to find someone who could use it.

I bought these tires in February with the intention of putting them on the car for the winters here. I'm moving south in a few weeks, so I don't think I'll need them anymore. They are Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 tires sized for the 18" Lexus IS350 rims. They worked great for the couple of months I used them. They have @2000 miles on them. Front: 215/45R18 Rear: 235/45R18

Sony D50 Front projector w/ceiling mount for sale for best offer. Pick up only as I don't have time to mess with shipping something this large. I may be able to drive and meet someone about an hour away if needed. I haven't had it hooked up in about a year, so I'll have to go off of memory here for the details. Two of the tubes have been replaced (blue and green I believe) since I had the projector and they have @1000 hours on them. One of the tubes, blue I think, stopped working. I think it's the board that attaches to the rear of the tube (drive board??) as it came loose a couple of times when I was still using it and I was able to take it off and put it back on and it started working again. I am moving in a couple of weeks and just need to get rid of this as I don't have anywhere to put it once I move.

hmm... I thought I did an easy one. It's also more centralized in the state than the last few so more people should be close enough to go get it.

All the information you need is in the picture. Then you know where it is.

Here is the next one. Shouldn't be hard to find.

Got it. Here is the approximate location. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=2440+Wheatley+Rd+Peninsula,+OH+44264&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hq=&hnear=2440+Wheatley+Rd,+Peninsula,+Summit,+Ohio+44264&gl=us&ei=x4j5S5WDL4OB8gaz3f3eCg&ved=0CBQQ8gEwAA&ll=41.206411,-81.580997&spn=0.01306,0.022187&z=16

What's really awesome about that game (the Google Pac-Man) is how it is run. I checked out the source when I saw it wasn't flash. It is one PNG image and lots of divs and CSS being animated with javascript. I wonder how much time was spent on it for one day on the page.

Yeah, I found this one too, but haven't had time to ride that far to get it. The last tag was just south of Cleveland. Now if you draw a line from there to where enenen lives (since he said he got it on his way home), you'll go right across it. Use that info plus the fact that it's a covered bridge, and Google should help you figure out the details.

I'll likely be there.

Yeah, I just watched it several times over and this looks like the issue to me too. The combination of the bump over the seem followed immediately into the dip seems to be the main issue. It's possible he unconsciously tightened a little on the bars on the bump and effected the front end's ability to cope with the dip afterward, or maybe just the combo wasn't handled well by the suspension due to settings. Likely, it's a combination of a few of those things.

I've been thinking about doing this exact trip. Unfortunately I'll be out of town this weekend. I'll definitely be up for the next time if I'm available.

The discussion that started this, though, is the other devices, namely the iPhone and iPad. I'm not talking about the full machines or laptops. They've also locked out 3rd party applications to build iPhone/iPad applications. You now have to use their dev tools if you want to make something (assuming you're not jailbreaking, obviously).

I golf at least a couple times a week. I have a league at Broadview, a 9 hole course in Pataskala, and it's relatively inexpensive. I also go to Blacklick quite a bit and they are reasonably priced as well. They have two courses. The gold course is a standard Par 72 course and is always in good shape. It runs about $15 for 9 holes during the week. I think it's about $35 on the weekend for all 18. The green course is a smaller course, only a Par 58, which consists of 7 par 3 holes and 2 par 4 holes per side. The par 3's average 150-170 yards with a few over 200, so it's not a tiny course like a lot of executive style courses. It's about $14 during the week for 18 holes.

The biggest difference with Flash and Apple is that their devices only use their Safari browser so there is no option. If you don't like what IE9 uses for something, use a different browser. No big deal. I am a web developer where I work and I've used flash in many instances where it worked well. I use javascript and similar open formats when they are the best tool for the job which they are in a lot of cases, but they aren't always. Then I'm also limited by the javascript engine in the different browsers especially in IE where it's really slow. Flash is still one of the best ways to do interactive graphics in the browser and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Video delivery is the least of my issues with not supporting flash, those sites will move to whatever is supported. But for the actual web applications that can't be moved to something like HTML5, and even if they could would require a huge rewrite, I don't like the restriction placed on me. Too many people arguing against Flash in this debate only use the internet for surfing sites like this and a few other basic things. They don't really grasp the amount of content that is in Flash and that it isn't always the huge eyesore that it used to be. Again, it's not the lack of support for flash, it's the restriction that I can't do anything about it that I don't like. As a developer, I don't like forced formats instead of just using what's best for the job. Big companies making decisions like this force people like me to do things "their way" to keep up. EDIT: Also, is there such a thing as an MS fanboy (not counting those that work there)?

Same here for the first day riding. I rode the bike down, so I was fully geared up (same thing I'm wearing in my avatar actually). Second day I drove the car down as I was a little sore from being on the bike the whole day before (rode with my brothers after class until 10pm), so I just wore my textile jacket and jeans. I even took off the jacket halfway through since I had a long sleeved shirt on and it was getting hot sitting around watching other people. Even when we did go, most of them went so slow (usually under 10mph) I was still getting hot following them.

I'll admit, I had to read it a second time to not get the same reaction.

I either go out for lunch or go home. I need the time away from my desk.

KTM Street Demos this weekend. Including the RC8!!

I rode up and got there at about 10am today. It was sunny and nice for the first few rides. I rode the 990 SMR, 990 SMT, and 990 Adventure during the good weather. I started raining on my last ride which was on the 690 Duke. It rained on my ride home from there as well, but it didn't bother me much as my gear was waterproof. I enjoyed all of the bikes. The SMR and Adventure were probably my faves. The Super Duke would probably have been up there too, but I wasn't able to get on one. They also has a couple of enduros up there, the 690 and 950 if I remember correctly. -

Good call. I wasn't able to make it up today anyway. If the rain doesn't look too bad tomorrow, I may DRIVE up, though I do have rain proof and heated gear if I decide to ride up. -

Well, no shit. I was more asking if I decided to ride up in the rain, will it be a wasted trip because it was canceled. -
