  1. My laptop took a shit the other night and I'm tired of having a friend fix it. Its about 4 or 5 years old now so I think I got my $$ worth out of it.

Only problem is I'm not sure what to replace it with or where to get it. My main use is to surf the web. I also use it for work when I travel a handfull of times a year and will need Excel & Word.

The last one came from best buy and I spent more than I should have. Money's not a big issue but the more I dont spend will be more money for my next toy!

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks all!!

Nothing fancy over here. JP took me to lunch and I stopped at Kames and picked up a new magazine for the Colt. (Kimber TacMag' date=' 7 round.. good quality over the factory mags) Lyndse just called and said her mother is taking us out for sushi at the Golden Dragon. Chai-quila for the whole table!!

Chai-quila, noun: a double shot of tequila, spoonful of wasabi and a raw quail egg.

Chai, proper noun: a politically incorrect sushi chef from China that loves making inappropriate expletives at attractive female patrons. (typically in regards to their bountiful bosoms)

I don't think I'm going to remember much of tonight so if I post some crazy, off the wall shit.. just disregard as usual.[/quote']

OH SHIT! I had a Chai-quila about 6-7 years ago after leaving Hilarities. Half the people that did them puked! LOL! Happy B Day man, hopefully you got some ridding in today!

  3. Many of your stunters are scumbags. More than there is not.
i come from a stunt rider background and you are not far from the truth. And that is why i got out of it. too much drama.

Man if that aint the truth... I dont run with half the guys I used to due to this. When they call or stop by I'm busy... I changed my number recently and told all of the people I gave the number to to not give this to any x girls or any former friend that I didnt give the number to.

  4. I'm leaving Summit Racing today and see a dog in a newer Dodge Ram thats sealed up. The dog is panting horibbly and drolling all over the place. I go in and tell the managers to call someone. They call Tallmadge PD. I stand towards the front of the store and am waiting on the guy or the cops to show. The guy walks out and starts to load an optima battery in the back of his truck along with other parts. I walk out and say "You know your dog is overheating in their, you should really crack a window". His reply: "He gets excited when I'm not around". I said "no he's overheating, how would you like it if I stuck you in a sealed up truck on a hot day" (missed the part about wearing a coat, hat, and slippers). The old fucker mummbled something and walked away. I yelled " You know they will take your dog away for that".

This pissed me off to no end. Animals love their owners unconditionally, no matter how fuckin stupid they are... Poor dog...

  5. You will earn a kick in the nuts along with Budell if this transaction transacts.

Did you see the movie Inglorious Bastards? The scene at the end after Brad pit shoots the high up nazi's driver "You'll be shot for that". Brad: "Nah, I'll get chewed out, I've been chewed out before". I've been kicked in the nuts before...

I sent the PM either last night or this morning. Had a lot of wine tonight so I'm not real sure.

  6. Yep, I think it was Cap's Pizza. It was delicious. :)

Loved the pizza! I'm ready to take a road trip to Thompson just for the pizza!!!

Yeah, the 03-04 636 is what I had in mind.

Had one and hated it for anything except wheelies. Good forgiving balance point but other pro stunters (this excludes the Starboyz) have told me to go with an F4I. Its more durable. Example is the radiator support dosnet need reinforced, the upper stay dosent need replaced with a 905, the list goes on. The only real downfall is the forks suck for stoppies (put 929/954/600RR/1000RR front end on) , and the lack of power. Good thing is you can pick them up cheaper and much better ridding position going from a Buell to a 636. I hated the clip ons, they were the worst I've ever ridden on.

  7. I love my 1125R. Passing cagers with the tach anywhere above 5K sounds awesome! She's a perfect sport-tourer. In order to complete the package I added a few accessories.

A steering damper to enhance it's wheelie-friendliness. As you probably figured out, its front end likes to come off the ground.

TechSpec tank grips, which seem to really help with cornering, fast stops, and preventing testicle damage.

Fieldsheer Contour saddlebags, add some much needed storage for those multi-day trips.

The only thing that may take a little to get used to is the heat. She doesn't like to go less than 35 mph and stop and go traffic can get a little warm on the legs.

How often do you change belts? Does the belt break or stretch from wheelies?

  8. I only want it for a street bike and to ride 2 up from time to time. I'm not sure if I should look for the 1125 or the XB then at that full fairing or streetfighter. I like both models and think both will do what I'm looking for.

No valve adjustment is awesome! Pushrods and lifters like a small block chevy I can handle! Is the 1125 the same way?

  9. XBs are quite possibly the lowest maintenance sporty bikes you can buy and very reliable. No valve adjustments, no throttle body sync, maintenance free belt drive, etc.

I put over 34k on an 03 XB9S. Maintenance was limited to oil, tires, spark plugs, and brake pads.

No valve adjustment? Does it have pushrods in it? I'm kinda retarded with V twins.

  10. The 1125 has a few quirks out of the box. But they are easily corrected under warranty at no charge to the owner. Long term reliability seems to be good.

--Reflash the ECM - runs smoother, runs cooler, makes a bit more power.

--Clutch cover tends to weep a small amount of oil out of the vent hole (small amount= a drop every thousand miles or so). New version of the clutch cover is available under warranty.

--The Low Fuel Light can come on faslely at low temps, say under 45 degrees, it goes off as the motor reaches operating temp. The fix is to replace the Instrument Cluster with one with an updated firmware version. Free under warranty.

--The only ongoing issue seems to be stator failures on 09s. HD has replaced (not recalled) the charging harness with one that seems to extend stator life. Perhaps they will realease an updated stator that solves the problem completely.

*Not all 1125 have these issues, but these are the ones that have been mentioned with some regularity on the the Buell forums.

All in all, I am happy with my 1125. The handling is top notch & the power delivery is quite linear.

huh, thanks for all the info!

How does the City X compare?

  11. Don't assume an XB is on par with the new Rotax models. They are both great handling bikes' date=' but they are worlds apart regarding their engines.

BTW, Buell fracking rocks my socks![/quote']

Dont take this the wrong way but I figured you'd be the last person to be a Buell fan on here.

As far as your first statement, can you elaborate on that a bit? I'll be honest I dont know jack shit about these bikes. I've never owned a bike with a belt, everything has had a chain. I've also owned mostly I4 and one I3. Maintenance intervals, valve adjustments?

I like the XB streetfighter as well.

  12. I must say, I had a freakin blast on it! I've always made fun of them being associated with HD. Well I ate my words today! A buddy was in town with his 1125 (naked model). He moded the bars but other than that it was mostly stock. Sounded good, great torque, and was comfy yet incredibly fast.

Its got me re-thinking what I want to buy...

How is the reliability of buells? I really thought I was going to hold out till I either found a good deal on a 07 or so Speed Triple, or Monster but I'm debating...

  13. If you want a GEN1, I'd get an '03-up, but that's just me... there were a couple of (in)significant changes between '99-'02 & '03-up models. After 2003, they're all pretty much the same, except for cosmetics.

Out of curiosity what were the changes?

  14. Join a gym! The nice thing about a gym atmosphere is everyone is working out around you. I have a gym in my basement and am a member at Fitworks and the Tallmadge Rec (work ins covers these). If you can work out in the mornings your test levels are the highest. Do big compound movements example: bench press, squat, powercleans, deadlifts, etc. This will help you burn more. Also throw in 10-20 minutes of cardio after every lifting session. Dont focus so much on iso expercies such as curls and skull crushers. Also abs are ok but watch doing to much if you have fat over them. You will build muscle and it will push the fat forward making you feel/look fatter. "Abs are made in the kitchen not in the gym".

As far as diet.... MODERATION! I'm not one that believes in quote on quote diets. If I must eat out due to from time to time I travel for work I just try to make wise choices. Scrubway is always a good route (even though the taste isint always the best). Protein bars, pre made shakes, or even a handfull of assorted non salted nuts can all help suppress appetite. A slow digestive protein before bed will help curve appetite example: any casein form of protein "natural" peanut butter, milk, cottage cheese, assorted nuts, are all examples.
