  1. Eric Bain must have to purchase a special firesuit to hold his balls. He drove that car all weekend like it was a stolen rental AND they finished installing the engine at the track. He crossed the finish line sideways to pick up the win, totally insane.
  2. I spent a week in the Republic Of California for the second week of filming for this season again. This year is going to be even crazier with the teams, drama, and the builds. Good chance we'll see an engine split in half at the race :lolguy: Teaser Trailer Here:https://www.dragzine.com/news/coming-in-hot-the-10k-drag-shootout-season-two-preview/
  3. Our insider told us that manuals make up around 15% of Corvette sales and the manual segment is pretty much dead from a business standpoint.
  4. What's going to be fun is when these things are released in the wild for the general public. The new Supras are now hitting the streets and shops like Titan and Real Street are already working hard at voiding warranties and doing hoodrat racecar stuff :fuckyeah:
  5. Depends on who you talk to and how much they think they know. I'll say this, from what I've been told by those in the industry it is a mixture of regulation and liability.
  6. I know for a fact it's locked down. GM brought in people from the defense industry from what I was told to make the ECU pretty much impossible to crack. As for piggybacks, I know that has been on the radar for a few companies, they are just waiting to get a car to start doing R&D on. I'm not a player to get one of these cars, I don't fall into the target market, but I do like the styling for sure. I think it will be interesting to see what people do with these cars when they get their hands on them.
  7. There are tons of aftermarket companies ready to pay out the nose to be the first to take delivery of this car for development. It's going to be a race to see who can get power adders to fit, make the transmission live, and find an affordable tuning solution.
  8. For those who didn't go to the King Of Columbus you missed a fun event. Jason is really working hard at making National Trails a great track again. Here's my write up about the event and some photos https://www.dragzine.com/news/grassroots-racing-the-king-of-columbus-at-national-trail-raceway/
  9. Saw this car in person at Street Car Takeover here in Columbus and it's a bad ride for sure.
  10. So after 22 episodes, they haven't given me the hook yet so I guess it's a success :lolguy: It has been a very interesting experience taking something from a concept and bringing it to life with a company. Equally interesting has been the experience of creating this type of content. This week, for example, I talked with Paul Lee (owner of McLeod Racing and nitro funny car racer) and got some interesting takes from him on different subjects. Also learned what happens when the throttle sticks on a nitro Funny Car.... https://www.dragzine.com/news/the-dragzine-podcast-episode-22-paul-lee/
  11. God invented Sunday for yard work so we could race on Saturday, it's in the bible or something...
  12. The new manager at Trails has brought the King Of Columbus back and made it a better show with classes that everybody can race in. They will have roll racing to start the day and then switch to drag racing with Big Tire, Small Tire, Hard Tire, Outlaw Street Bike, Queen of Columbus, Open Comp Grudge Racing True Street I don't think my car will be ready so I'll be going out to just hang out, take pictures, and do some grilling. Anybody else going?
  13. That's a steel roof and quarters car too, think it even still has the VIN tag on it.
  14. This thing has to be fun/terrifying to drive at over 235 MPH. It wants to do everything but go straight and keep three wheels on the ground.
  15. Visitors... Seriously, a lot of what he said made sense. The idea that certain areas of the government and other groups want/need to suppress the knowledge there is life out there is 100% true.
  16. Electric cars and self-driving garbage will be crammed down your throat even if you don't want it or there is infrastructure in place to support it, trust me.
  17. Yep, I'll be dropping the truck and trailer off in the morning at the track, going to my niece's first birthday party, then I'll be back to race in the afternoon.
  18. Looked at 3 different weather forecasts for Saturday and they're all different :lolguy: I've got my bottles filled and will put the interior back in the car tonight. I'll see what the weather says Friday before I make the call and put the car in the box for Saturday morning.
  19. It's early still so all of Saturday could change. As of now they are calling for rain later in the day, just no time associated with it yet. The problem is that's when the majority of the drag racing competition is going to be. If you're going to roll race or just test you might be fine as of right now. I'm still going to try and get my car ready and see what it says later in the week. I have a family thing early in the day on Saturday so that will play into what I can do
  20. Weather for Friday looks great, Saturday looks sketchy
  21. I had this on my calendar to run the 11.00 index class, problem is I had something dropped on my schedule that day. If things work out and I get the car fixed I'll be there.

    Anthony

Man says "while I was away" like he went on a work trip to some shitty city.... Looked death in the face and said piss off cunt.... Hopefully we will all get to see you soon.
  23. He may do some good stuff, but a lot of his followers live in the world of half-assed.
  24. It's that sloppy mechanic's mentality of half-assed is hella-cool, along with stupid memes and saying ls swaps are "played out"
