  1. Well since they have changed their ad deal and de-monitized so many channels people have to work extra hard to get clicks and subs. It really sucks for channels that YouTube deems "unworthy" and they yank the money from them.
  2. Well, this swap is part of an interesting article one of our magazines will be doing and I helped on. We are going to do something about crazy engine swaps or trolling engine swaps. Some of these ideas we came up with are funny, crazy, scary, and downright awful. It was all spurred on by an LS-swapped EVO I found over in the UK that is still AWD. After hanging out with the Australians during the Horsepower Wars $10K Shootout built I learned something: Anything can be a candidate for an engine swap if you're brave enough.
  3. Love it https://engineswapdepot.com/?p=40750&fbclid=IwAR3QZr8W0WTsdV2WYsvc8YEdlHGPW_jDneAjHcAQ2-e1roeNvelT5tv-A1Q

    Yeah, that sounds about right
  6. Bingo. That and the tuning put into it makes a difference. I was very impressed with what could be done with that Terminator X setup. The wiring was simple, fired up and drove the first time, made multiple big power pulls on the dyno with no signs of issues at all. Turned up and on a safe tune it will be 1,000 wheel no problem. So, your setup with a 4.8 and halfway decent parts will be perfect for what you want to do. LS swaps are done because they work, are reliable, make good power, and aren't expensive.
  7. Just saw a bone stock 4.8 make 885 on the dyno with an 80mm turbo. When I say bone stock, I mean they gapped the rings for boost and that was it. Stock crank, rods, pistons, bearings and it was through a truck intake. All controlled by the new Terminator X. So yeah, I would say a played out 4.8 lsx swap is a good choice considering how much they cost. What would it cost to make a stock Porshe engine make that power?
  8. Yep. I talked with the head of their Sniper EFI program about everything that's going on and coming. They are really ahead of the curve on all of this and how scalable it will be. I can't talk about everything but I will say there is going to be a massive push with these systems that will change the engine swap game for every platform. There are some very smart people that work at Holley and the COMPCams group that are working on some really cool stuff. The next generation of FAST EFI is going to be pretty wild with what it has to offer too.
  9. We've got a few possible projects at work where the Terminator X might be used. Don't be surprised to see Holly roll this out for other engine platforms soon.
  10. You will need to call out the person who is currently in the lowest spot on the list you want to run. Since we aren't running this Friday you will either have to set up a time to meet them and race at Trails or wait until our next event.

If you need some non-hospital food smuggled in let me know. My boss will be back in the office Wednesday so I can sneak away if needed.

If you guys need anything at the hospital let me know.
  13. First, they took away the hookers and now they are making it harder to find cars.
  14. Is anybody going to challenge for the top spot in any of the lists?
  15. Make sure you check with the county before you do anything.
  16. Tom Baily of Dragweek fame is a partner in something like this. There are a few other ways to do this that I would love to do but I just don't have the capital to kick it off.
  17. I've been researching and haven't really seen anything to swing my view towards pellet stoves. My parents have a coal stove in their living room and it makes the lower level of the house as hot as satan's jerk shed. From the looks of it I'll need the special chimney liner, topper, and the stove. It all looks pretty straight forward, but it might not turn out that way in real life vs install videos. I've seen cost estimates anywhere from 1,200-5,000 to install one of these things so if I can do it myself that would be hella-better.
  18. Anybody have one here locally? How do you like it? Easy to install yourself? I'm thinking about adding one to our fireplace to offset our propane rape. I would love to get one that can use wood or coal just not sure if anyplace locally sells this kind of stuff.
  19. Added car info. Since this is now No Time there won't be any ETs posted.
  20. I live in the country too but got a visit from the Franklin County Engineer over a 5-foot driveway addition. Pretty sure some busy body decided to report it based on the way the conversation went, and the fact he showed up less than 24 hours after Sam did the excavation work. The reason I say something is because the exact words he used were "anytime a driveway is added or modified you have to have a permit." Take that as you will but I would double check before you do anything. Guy down the road from me put a driveway in the county didn't like and they put a guardrail up around the end of it so he couldn't access it or use it. Great use of taxpayer money right there :dumb:
  21. Make sure you talk with the county first and have all the right paperwork. I had no idea you needed that before you built or modified a driveway and found out the hard way.
  22. Went fine and no, only 7 people showed up. I have the lists posted. Honestly not shocked at the turnout, it is what it is. The hardcore racers showed up and had a good time, we gained a new member for the site and people had fun. Hell, Jim Rose showed up without out a car, paid to get in just to check it out and say hi. The track was great to deal with and they want to help grow racing. I'm just happy the people who came out had fun and did some racing, that's what this is all about.
  23. Here are the current lists CR Fastest: 1. Richard Cranium Dragster CR Street: 1. Ben Clark C6 Corvette 2. Steve Henderson 1981 Malibu 3. Anthony Green Firebird CR Daily: 1. Buck Fiero 2. Brian S. G8 3. Tina Green C5 Corvette 4. Kendall Draeger Civic Hatch
  24. He's that drunk guy at the bar that says crazy stuff he saw back in the day, but he has access to the nuclear codes. I still want to see him have a meltdown on camera, like full-fledged Britney Spears smashing a chair into a car meltdown.
