I have made it very clear to my media overlords that no matter what I do for them, I will always be a track rat. Hanging out with the "normal" racers and fans is what gives me the true pulse of the sport. Its neat to see all the top level guys, but most of them are very guarded, the guy who built his Ultra Street car in his barn, THAT is the guy who will tell you how much he appreciates the pictures you took and words you wrote. I will say the Jegs people have been amazing and treated me well.

I used to hate imports, a lot. Then I got to see some very quick ones that were not total shitboxes and life changed forever. There are now guys running some 4gs in fox bodies in the radial tire classes and they are getting quick as hell. In the end anything can be quick and fast if you have enough cash and a high enough line of credit.

It might have something to do with how hard they spin it, and the motor. That 526 ci Proline motor is no joke, so they won't have to really smack it to hard to run the number. I know a lot of X275 guys were having problems with Prochargers eating themselves if they spun them to hard.
