  3. One of the last people you would ever want to line up against. This guy will drive over his own crank to win around against his kids. https://vimeo.com/154798855
  4. Circle gets the square. Its 2016, we need to stop hating people because of who they want to fuck, what color they are, or what god they want to ask for help. If you're going to hate someone, hate them for the trash they are as a person.
  5. Not yet at least. I remember as a kid when they talked about the emission testing coming to our county, and much like this the "experts" said it would never happen because the EPA would not or could not do it. Guess the fuck what? It happened and changed how people with performance cars had to do things in northeast Ohio. The smart people in the industry right now are very worried about this, as they should be. Many of them have seen what the swipe of a bureaucratic agency pen can do (see any business based in the republic of California) and understand you never underestimate the power stupid in our government. Lots of lobby money is being thrown at this to tighten that language to be sure it does not hurt the aftermarket industry any more I can tell you that.
  6. Thank you for the info, and the others who provided useful responses here, or via PM. It has been an interesting take as to how other professionals in the business world approach this either on their own, or with their company. The Lean IT stuff will be making the cut as an example in our class.

    NFL Thread

Well, he has not killed anybody yet and has not bee locked up yet, but its still early in 2016. The NFL is full of trash and he has to be the biggest bag of it all right now.
  8. Your .gov at work yet again :dumb: http://bangshift.com/general-news/sema-alert-the-epa-is-actively-trying-to-kill-racing-trying-to-ban-converting-street-cars-into-race-cars/
  9. Root cause is actually one of our supporting points to an objective, so glad to see that show up in this. The IT Lean concept is something I'm going to pitch to my team as an innovation to list as an example.
  10. Yeah, its gross over here. Can't wait for the 2 hour drive home because some dickbag that has AWD/4wd, thinks they can drive as fast as they want, and wads their shit up on the freeway.
  11. That's the sales has a class on that, they are on their own little island...
  12. I have been training people for a very long time, I'm looking for some extra ideas on content that we can stir into this cake. We pretty much have most of the course objectives built and high level stuff in place. I've got some good stuff from other contacts and I know there are some people on here that can provide useful things.
  13. Yes, I'm looking at a level above a specific job function, and more of the high level things that can be used anywhere.
  14. Yes, but I'm open to any kinds of thoughts to see if they spark something in our team that is running the class. We are trying to be innovative in how we build this class.
  15. Well, with activities and content we provide in the class. People who sign up for these usually have an open mind and want to learn something or get a fresh take. One of the things we are going to teach in the class is a problem resolution flow chart. Yes, it seems simple and common sense, but we all know common sense is not common practice. This will then tie back into the idea that you can use innovation to help solve your daily work problems. We use NASA as an example of innovation and problem solving in the class.
  16. I'm not 100% sure what those are, but would like to know in case we can use it. This class is something anybody can take in the organization, its not a train the trainer style class. A big point to all of the classes our internal training provides is that what we go over in class are things you can take back to your desk and use them right away. Some of what we teach is going to seem "simple" to some, but the way the courses are set up there will be something you can pull from it.
  17. I am currently on a cross-functional team at work that has the task of designing, building, and facilitating a class about continuous improvement, problem solving, and innovation all within the business world. I know there are some very smart and successful people on CR, what would you want to see in a class like this if it was being facilitated at your company? I’m trying to be innovative and pull some thoughts from people outside my organization to make this class have an impact. One of the main ideas of the class is how continuous improvement, problem solving, and innovation all tie into each other overall. Any useful feedback would be appreciated.
  18. I think that car is back in Ohio again, not sure. I know it never reached it's full potential and was a bad ride for sure. I'm working on a 8 second, street legal, LSX swapped 1972 Olds Cutlass Supreme feature right now. Very basic setup that still uses the stock crank with upgraded rods, pistons, and ported 317 heads.
  19. This car is bad ass, but is going to be even more insane this year. After I finished the feature the owner contacted me and daid they are going to a 481x motor and bigger turbos :fuckyeah: http://www.dragzine.com/features/car-features/big-green-machine-greg-powries-twin-turbo-2000-camaro/
