  1. That is Phil Hines, and that car is one bad bitch. Depending on the trim he is running, that is a 4.30s to 4.40s car in the 1/8th mile. What makes this race even more interesting is Phil's history with the Street Outlaws guys. A few years ago when they made one of their call out videos, he said he was game. A bunch of smack talk followed up and the boys from OKC would not race him on the track, only on "the street". If Phil did not need to keep his NHRA credentials, I bet he would run them on the street too just to shut people up.
  2. I've become numb to all of it. The 24/7 news cycle, idiots on social media, and talking heads on TV just make it worse. Logic has been thrown out the window of this country. The fact that people thought executing these cops was a good idea shows a total failure of our culture and the leadership of the country. It's really gross that people are trying to justify and rationalize this tragic event all ready. I'm so glad I don't have kids, this country is fucked for the future generations.
  3. I have to be at the Friday Night Drags and Goodguys show for work. Hopefully I will feel good enough to make it all three days.
  4. Turned out pretty good http://www.dragzine.com/news/one-bad-fish-jim-roses-all-mopar-nine-second-1974-barracuda/
  5. Its all just background noise to me anymore, the media's coverage of political stuff is a joke, and the "major" two party system is pretty much eating itself right now. We need less of this full left, or full right on the bell curve junk and more in the middle logic. That will never happen as long as you have people getting their "news" from idiots on Comedy Central and talk shows.
  6. Shot this last year at Good Guys, the owner is a funny guy. He wanted to do rolling burnout shots on the roof of the parking garage. I told him about all the State Trooper security and his response was "maybe they won't notice"... http://www.dragzine.com/features/car-features/feature-kirk-marburgers-8-second-1966-twin-turbo-chevy-nova/
  7. You have no idea, its my new daily struggle to come up with content that is not jalopnik level crap. We are going to be making some big shifts and moves over the next year with the level of content. I'm being pushed very hard with this new job in what I have to write about, and what I have to learn. Maybe I'll try to score one of these motors for a project idea...
  8. I think they were trying to avoid the boosted builds since everybody had beat that whole article concept to death, brought it back to life, killed it, then fucked the dead body.
  9. Well, I will do some digging around to see if boost is in the future...
  10. Its all fun and games until someone ends up doing a few cart-flips and on fire.
  11. Really neat series the guys at Engine Labs just finished up, shows the potential for each motor for sure. http://www.enginelabs.com/engine-tech/engine/preview-ls3-vs-coyote-budget-engine-shootout/
  12. What's the difference between what you have, and this http://www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-M18-FUEL-18-Volt-Lithium-Ion-Brushless-1-2-in-Cordless-Impact-Wrench-Kit-with-Free-M18-18-Volt-XC-5-0Ah-Battery-2755-22-48-11-1850/206581421

    Sorry Lebroney

Cavs fans are feeling mighty brave on social media...
  14. I'm looking to get a cordless impact for general garage use and to take to the track for wheel and tire swaps. What do some of you have and recommend?
  15. Feature I did on Kevan's car, super neat for sure. http://www.turnology.com/news/factory-race-car-kevan-geiers-2004-dodge-neon-acr/
  16. I would not use the word tolerance, maybe "acceptable behavior" that is now allowed. The problems that leads to any type of violence is really a multi-layered in nature. We have allowed certain things to be come "the norm" and that's how we have landed where we are. There is not object like a gun to blame here people, its us, the humans that have put all the ingredients in this shit stew, turned on the heat, and just kept eating it without trying to fix what's in the fucking pot...
  17. Rule one of race fight club: Never shake a tail feather and show your hand, its how you win the lead trophy or other "adjustment".
  18. Yes, PEOPLE are the problem, not the object. I will not disagree at all that guns make the process a bit easier, but the constant in this equation is the person part. Here is something to think about for a second: What has changed in this country to cause such an uptick in mass shootings? There have always been guns in this country, heck, a lot of people used to hunt for their own food. Why were there not more mass shootings 30,40, or 50 years ago? What about school violence? Kids used to bring pocket knives to school all the time and we did not have mass stabbings back in the 20s,30s,40s,50s, or 60s did we? I think that we, as a society have changed for the worse. We have allowed "freedom" for people to be assholes, and now we are seeing the results.

    Sorry Lebroney

Its a Cleveland pro sports team, they will choke when the title is on the line, its science
  21. Logic, don't bring it here, certain people don't like it
  22. In this political world, if you aren't dancing on warm bodies, you aren't going to get votes and rally your troops to say and do stupid things.
