  1. I'd love to rape your bike.

It's for this reason I keep the exhaust hot when out in public. It's not much of a deterrent but the scars around the crotch region seal the case when it comes to collecting the child support from the bike rapists.

  2. I've got about 950ish miles on my 2012 zx10 and here's my thoughts on it. The ergonomics are ok but a better seat for my boney ass is needed. All the electronics are pretty cool. I haven't changed the settings on the traction control (tc) or power modes yet. The TC is set at 2 right in the middle and I have it at full power. The gauges are cool and it has the option of a race mode where the gear indicator takes up most of the screen and mph replace the clock. It also has a stopwatch style timer so you can have a pretty close idea for your lap times and overall time. I use it to time segments of my ride to work sometimes. It also has an option to display the amount of gallons you've used so you don't have to wait for the gas light. It will also tell you your current and average mpg's along with engine temp or intake air temp.. The 600mile recommended break-in sucked knowing how much power you were missing out on keeping it under 6000rpms out of the 13,500 it has until the rev limiter. For driving around its great but from a stand still the gearing is too tall for super fast take offs without doing a drag race style launch. (which I can't do). But at 4,000rpms it comes to life and takes off like a liter bike should. Then around 5-6,000rpms the front tire starts to come up and you gotta hold on or it feels like its going to leave you behind floating in the air like the willey coyote. And at 8,000rpms the TC kicks in slightly to smoothly lower the front wheel without slowing you down. It keeps accelerating like a demon fleeing from hell upto to 12,000rpms which is where I let off the throttle because its a little above the legal speedlimit of any place I know of. The steering dampner is a little weak and it'll get a little wobbly when the front tire comes down if your holding on too tight. (which feels necessary to stay on the bike under hard acceleration). When you get the bike in the twisties its a blast and handles awesome. With a curb weight of 437 lbs it feels super light and nimble. I still haven't gotten confident enough in the TC to realy punch the throttle on corner exits but I can say I can give it more throttle coming out of the corners than any other liter bike I've been on. The US models have been restricted significantly down to around 168hp. Since that's not enough I'm planning on getting the ecu reflashed by Don Guhl which should bump the Hp up about 20hp and move the rev limiter to 14,000rpms among other things. But this bike is scary fast and light but very manageable. The TC is very helpful and non-intrusive and can be turned off if you wanna wheelie around or do sweet burnouts.

  3. 1 I had a friend go to one of the big schools for motorcycle tech. He graduated and got out and started doing what he loved working on motorcycles. Then even though business was good and money was good enough he got burnt out and decided to join the army at 27 years old. I asked why he was giving it up and he said that making his hobby his job ruined his passion for motorcycles.

    2. Maybe go down to Larry Pegram's shop (if its still open) and ask around if there is anyone that can point you in the right direction.

    3. Try to get ahold of the Honda plant in Marysville and start asking to see if you can have a meeting with an engineer. You could also try TRC which is near the plant. A few engineers work there.

  4. Adult Parole Authority (APA)

There is hereby created in the division of parole and community services of the department of rehabilitation and correction at bureau level an adult parole authority. The adult parole authority consists of its chief, a field services section, and a parole board. The director of rehabilitation and correction shall appoint the chief of the adult parole authority, one or more superintendents of the field services section, and the chairperson of the parole board, all of whom shall serve at the pleasure of the director and shall be in the unclassified civil service.

The authority is a regular administrative unit of the department of rehabilitation and correction and shall operate under rules adopted by the director. The chief of the division of parole and community services may adopt supplemental rules governing operation of the authority, assigning specific powers and duties to the chief of the authority, and assigning specific functions to sections within the authority.

Sounds like your neighbor may have been a register offender that violated. It takes quite a bit for the parole officers to get someone locked back up in Ohio.

  5. Glad he was able to, but confused how he was able to get a shot off with a shotgun to his head

    Doorfront Parking like a BOSS

    NoBama 2012

Maybe he took the shotgun from the pill head? Guys in wheelchairs have great upper body strength most of the time since its their primary method of movement. Or the guy may not have known how to properly use a shotgun and coulda had the action closed on an empty chamber.

  6. Found this blurb on Google+ by a gal from Texas.

But wait, did she just equate patriotism with a batch of undesirable traits?

Yes she did. Intentional or accidental? Means something either way.

I did notice that no one was commenting at all. Probably caught that weird part.

I kinda wanted to tell her that 6000 rounds is just two day's practice to stay proficient.

Not to mention that "the ammo didn't do it".

Just a guess, but what I think people really fear, is that they themselves as an ordinary person, could be an ordinary person that suddenly turns into a mass murderer. They fear themselves.

OK, there are some comments showing up now. The first one was from a German, which literal translation is "The spin of Americans!". Most comments are negative.

edit: I'm also reading from some one (Licensed Clinical Psychologist) that perhaps the root of the shooter's problem, was simply that he was unable to find a job. Dropped out of Doctorate and was working at a McDonalds. A victim of our economy.

So we should blame Ronald Mcdonald?

  7. Well, I need to do something. Either start wrenching on it or rob several stores. I'd just as soon drop it out and replace it but that takes coin. Tearing it down will only tell me that I need to put money into it but just how much is the real question. Anything more than $3-400 and I might as well just buy a used motor and slowly fix the bad one and keep it as a spare.

Or you could buy my rc for 2000.

  8. Unreal how much HP these liters are getting now. It took $1600 to get my 14 at that same number, and all this guy had to do was flash the stock ecu? On a 10R?! Damn, thats awesome! New S1000RR's are getting big numbers like that too right out of the box. Guess I'll have to abstain from screwing around with these newer 1000's on the road in fear my pride will surely be stomped:D

Nice bike man! Good choice too

I don't quite understand it but the zx10r had to have its power limited to come into the us but the bmw didn't.

  9. I agree with Mykill. If you don't like the bike.. sell the bike. If you like the bike.. fix the bike.

..but for the love of God.. don't buy a Honda. Nobody will ever be able to respect you' date=' again.[/quote']

Soo suzukis are more respected? Either someone forgot to hit the sarcasm font or it really is time for the apocalypse.

  10. Congratulations! That is an awesome bike! Just need to un-detune it eventually to get the full potential. I read somewhere that a it was detuned significantly from the factory.

Yeah from what I've been reading getting the ecu flashed can give an otherwise stock bike 20hp at the wheel. There's a guy on the Zx10r forum claiming with just the flash his bike is 186 at the wheel.

  11. I got a hold of my rc51 and was super stoked to see why they are all the rage right now. I honestly was let down and had expected more from it. The Zx10r I just bought is crazy smooth and quick. I haven't gone over 6k rpm yet due to the break in but the advances in technology on the modern sport bikes and the suspension make the v-twins seem like antiques. My rc pulls but it doesn't seem to pull as hard or long as my old cbr 1000rr.
