  1. http://columbus.craigslist.org/mcy/1969765916.html 5th gear is sooo overrated, I just stopped using it. 4th is also being ghey, I am about to drop that one as well, and the gold rims? Yes, solid gold.
  2. Awesome, certainly the best search phrase to get here. I now feel the need to type that in when I am trying to find this site on a public pc or showing a friend. I don't know how much time HE spends on it, but you shouldn't need much as an admin. You can see what search phrases led someone to the site, so that means someone got here through that search lol. Or he really doesn't have a life and just tries different things all day.
  3. ^^exactly my experiences. I tried to convince them with an Ohio bike, I even resorted to flirtation, but to no avail. I have heard you can get one from an out of state auto though.
  4. Assuming you bought this used then?yes It is the weekend so I assume they are not in' date=' and some companies don't like to give out that information because then I am not spending money there. I will still try tomorrow though. The pinout off of the main box might still be the same, the remotes just might be different. $15.00 plus shipping is a rip off I feel. I have made chargers for things before and I have plenty of walwarts available that should be more than up for the task, if I can save a few bucks then why not. I will still be buying a connector kit from them for $10, I just want the pinout now for testing so I don't start blowing money everywhere and not getting anything out of it. I don't have it in front of me to verify, but as I recall it did not have anything on the back, I usually check there first. The back doesn't just pop off though since it is a rechargeable battery and a waterproof unit. I could probably take off the back anyway with no problem, but it would just give me the voltage of the battery and not what they would want for charging. I might as well try that next Friday as well if I do not get anywhere (first time I can be around it again). Thanks for the responses thus far guys. I figured it was a long shot for anyone with the same unit, but at least people are trying to help.
  5. I have seen that, it is on Scorpio's website as well. The problem with that is I have 4 black wires and a ground coming from the main unit and I do not know where any of them could go. If I had any connector, even the generic spade connectors, I could back track it but I have none. That is why I need another owner, I could figure out which color would go where. The manual only has a b/w image, even if it was in color I could figure it out.
  6. Damn, that sucks. I would have definitely bought it for 4K, no haggling, if he coulda kept it for another month. Oh, well, at least he got his sale. It was a steal at $3500 though.
  7. Yes, I haven't been able to find a proper pinout of either on google. Might be due to the fact that motorcycle alarms are not popular in the first place, then picking a specific company and model makes it even worse.
  8. I bought a used Scorpio alarm (SR-i600) and I did not get a charger for the remote and any connector for the bike. I was just wondering if anyone who owns one would be able to look on the charger and give me the volts/amps and what side is +/-, unless of course its ac. It would also be helpful if anyone knew a pinout of the connector, or just what wire goes to what color on your bike, i can do a lookup of what it actually goes to.
  9. Wow, that sucks. Try some junkyards or CL to find used for cheaper probably. I feel your pain; I had a group of teenagers bring a rock with them to my house and throw it through the bay window while on vacation. It was just a random act too, bastards, who the hell brings a rock with them?
  10. That sucks, I did not know that about engines now a-days. Well, you could try to adjust it yourself with the a/f mixture screw. Go out until it is too rich and sputters and dies, then too far in until it speeds up and dies. Halve the turns out and you have the theoretical middle point. Your best bet is a shop with a braked dyno where they can analyze the exhaust gasses and just tell you, but that costs money and I am cheap.
  11. ^^ This, open up the master cylinder as well if there is not much fluid and you have to add anyway. Don't just pry it loose or knock shit with a wrench, there is very few good reason to knock a bike at all, even when splitting stuck gaskets.
  12. You couldn't get it into neutral, and its normal? Well, is the neutral kill switch bridged? Also, there could be a lot more problems than just spark plugs. I personally want some more information. First, yes you cleaned the carbs, but is it getting gas and air, did you put the a/f mixture screw to stock? What does it sound like when you start it, that alone could be an indication of rich/lean or if its even going to start. It could be that the idle adjustment on the carbs was touched when you cleaned it. If it is lurching when you start it, is the clutch disengaged fully? Right now it could be an electrical, fuel, air or something more problem. I need to know what you have done to troubleshoot the starting problem to be able to rule out causes. You should be able to get the spark plugs out by the time you read this, go ahead and ground them out of the cylinder to check for a spark (if they look good and are not 10 yrs old, if they are just replace because you will need to anyway).
  13. I have never sold anything on CL before, just bought. What is weird is how many peoples' houses I have been in. I always bring knife (not necessarily for defense, they are just very useful) and feel pretty weird being in a stranger's house or yard. Even weirder is how every time I go, I get told how many people never showed up. That means they just willingly gave out their addy to a ton of people. I don't think I could invite a bunch of people to my house that I don't know personally. I might need to try out John's idea, in and out quick and efficient.
  14. Overnight? Most certainly not, with all the testing and building the day will still be far away, and what about the cars, you can't just throw Thorium in a tank and go. What worries me is this: "'They were really going after the weapons,' said Professor Egil Lillestol, a world authority on the thorium fuel-cycle at CERN. 'It is almost impossible make nuclear weapons out of thorium because it is too difficult to handle. It wouldn’t be worth trying.' It emits too many high gamma rays." Paragraph 9 If it is so safe and clean, how could you have "network of pint-sized 600MW reactors that are lodged underground" (paragraph 14) in a safe manner? I would be interested in reading up on it, maybe seeing some papers on it. I doubt the energy made from using the depleted uranium in the reactors outweighs the risks of transport and portioning for the smaller reactors. They would much rather use the thorium it was designed for and not waste a reactor and less efficient fuel, that is what this is about, efficiency. That appears to me like the journalist embellishing facts rather than a scientist saying a possibility, that is why he included the unnecessary NASA quote.
  15. I am the guy trying to promote a conversation about the good and bad of the US in a logical manner. Who are you, the guy that can't even make a post without getting his emotions all involved instead of just using logic and debating? Seriously though, if you took 2 seconds to look at my post you would see it shouldn't be taken that seriously. Emoticons, followed by a lame picture that obviously upset you, then a hyperlink (which, by the way, isn't real at all, I just wrapped tags around some jargon separated by an ellipsis). Sorry I can't chime in when I want, I guess? Thought this was an open forum. Why don't you go back to telling everyone how great your life is and how bad everything else is without giving any room for a discussion on a solution, I will leave you to it.
  16. Carbs really are not as bad as some people make them out to be, there are a lot harder diy's on a bike than that. I did 2 sets before I even owned my own bike and really knew what I was doing. All you need is the manual for your bike, carb rebuild kit, various disassembly tools and some cleaners. When I was doing 1 and 2 carbs (eventually broken down into two sets of 1) I just popped them into a pot with some dawn and boiled them once disassembled, worked great. With the E, I didn't really want to take all the bodies apart so I didn't boil them, instead I just used some carb cleaner and a tooth brush with a brake cleaner rinse. I was looking for a rebuild kit for you and I found this, its a carb guide to for the '69-'78 SOHC CB750. Personally, I used this guide because it was bike specific for me. Either way just read the guide and the shop manual over to familiarize yourself with all the parts and it should be a breeze. The four things you really need to check 1) Diaphragms, are they torn or not and do you have to get new ones 2) Are the floats sunken, are they at the right height (second part is assembly only) 3) How many turns out is the pilot mixture screw, is it in spec (if its not, is that why it was running bad?) 4) Are the needles still good, do you need more If you have all the parts on hand, 4 hours is the most you would probably spend on them your first time like El capitan said. If they are off your bike, even better. Where in ohio are you?
  17. I have to add to the fun pictures, I want to win too I guess chevy got his wish with a fight regardless of the original topic. You know this thread got started by talking about long established tax laws? Now we are on the verge of being derailed into a straight up left v right debate. I love facts and sources, the problem with them is 98% of people (http://www.factsaboutpeople/all.../38345.html) don't pay attention or fact check people's claims even with sources. This discussion was derailed from the start, so lashing out at people for not having facts immediately is a little harsh. It would be a different story if this was the original topic of discussion. You never or going to change each others' points of view, its painfully obvious as nothing has been conceded on either side. So for the sake of argument, maybe personal attacks should be left out and each point in a post be matched with a rebuttal. Also, generalized claims based on a single point should be left out, no one is fooled by that here. I was enjoying the discussion for a while, lets get back to that. Also, most of you are winning right now anyway, at least half of you are probably posting from work. Getting paid for being on OR is definitely a win in my book.
  18. It looks like there are 4 or 5 interested in making a team (didn't count). You could always try to do that, I might be interested.
  19. I was stuck going northbound on I-71 for around an hour before the police let us turn around on the freeway to the exit right before Linndale. I do not know what happened, but there is now only 1 lane open going northbound and about 16 cop cars. I just saw on fox that is was a motorcycle rider, there are not any other details but with the turnout, it doesn't look good. -edit- found this, still not much info though: http://blog.cleveland.com/metro/2010/08/motorcycle_accident_snarls_tra.html
