  1. That does throw a wrench. I probably wouldn't wait around either.
  2. As the parent of three great kids in that age range, I would hope that you would let me know what my kid did so I could address it in the way my kid would understand AND would be able to watch for it again and follow up.
  3. It will make it easier to pick a place to eat.
  4. My safes are to keep out the little hands of my kids' friends whose nannies and mammies sheltered them from bad guns and now they don't know how to act around them. If someone makes it past the alarm, dogs, and hail of lead, they can work that sledge all....nigh....long. I don't have one fore sale. Sorry about the thread detour.
  5. You mean it didn't go into effect today? Oops. My bad.
  6. Thanks for posting. A ride-n-shoot sounds like a good day to me.
  7. I'll probably hook up with you guys at this spot. I'll let you know as we get closer.
  8. Flame on, but I think we're all a bit paranoid. I have no problem with test rides as long as the situation looks legit. If I showed up to buy a bike and had to turn over the cash first, there wouldn't be a deal. Maybe I'm trusting. Maybe I'm naive. Haven't been burned yet.
  9. $425? Anyone? Nothing at all wrong with it. It just missed the "necessity" list.
  10. Wasn't raining when I left, but it was a freeking monsoon by about the time I got to the split. Good thing there aren't cameras in the office as my clothes dry on the baseboards.
  11. Ride TO work was not awesome today. That is all.
  12. Did you chrome the tailpipe and put a screaming eagle stage 2 on it? I thought only Harleys appreciated.
  13. Made in China= poor quality controls.
  14. I think it's like the Bermuda triangle but with industry and pro sports.
  15. New... you can get for around $900-$1200. The mags would go from $10 to $30 each. The ammo is probably $300 for low-end stuff. No taxes and The Man has no record of ownership (not that they keep those records). I'd go for it.
  16. I know quite a few people that swear by Ernie's. Also, Bexley Car Care always does a great job. Owner Mike rides as well.
  17. Valid points. Would the collection of evidence via a non-implicated bystander's personal property require a warrant? I don't know that answer.
  18. Before 4:30 AM, walking on 161... with traffic. Recipe for disaster. Guy was probably drunk. Driver was probably drunk.
  19. I have absolutely no opinion on the shooting. I wasn't there and I don't know the circumstances. However, going after someone filming is a blatant violation of everything America stands for. THAT was tampering with evidence, illegal search and seizure, violation of due process, and a violation of the first amendment's protection of free speech. Free speech, you ask? This is akin to confiscating a printing press.... or shutting down a radio station. What if the cop removed and destroyed the dash-cam video? No different. Cops are good. They do a hard job and are in danger's way every day. This cop is bad. But what scares me is the current trend. This is now the third or fourth national case where the law is trying to criminalize the filming of police. Can you imagine? If the ACLU needs my help chasing a cause, here it is. Let us not forget that the bill of rights are the People's protection from government ..... not from anti-hunters, not from school bullies, not from crazy zealots......
  20. I tell my high-level staff often ...." if you couldn't explain it to Barbara Walters on national TV, don't do it."
