  1. I'm a commuter. Three lanes all going the same direction is my comfort zone. I'm getting used to the twisties but oncoming traffic going into a turn still leaves me a bit uneasy. It will get better as I practice within my limits.
  2. Thanks guys. Looking for a 1970's Honda CB in decent shape to learn myself how to wrench a bit. Would consider a trade arrangement.
  3. No rail, but that be it.
  4. Hell yes! Great find! I was pissed when they discontinued production.
  5. I'm selling my Sig 229 9mm compact with sig-light night sights, 3 magazines, and brand new DeSantis paddle holster. This gun has never failed me and has the best trigger of any I have pulled. But.... toy for a toy.... Looking to get $550 as it retails new for $800 on sale without extra magazine and holster. If under 21, please don't contact me regarding this sale.
  6. MotoGP this Sunday at 8:00 AM on Speed. No road races Sunday afternoon.
  7. Keep thinking positively. You're in my thoughts.
  8. I really hope they are the same crew.
  9. If nothing else, call or email tonight. At least get the ball rolling. If it takes you a week to ship it while you watch it, at least they can't argue when the damage occurred.
  10. Unless you think it's going to settle back in over time, send it back for sure.
  11. Guns....motorcycles....airplanes.... who needs to watch other people livin the dream on cable? You have my respect.:bow:
  12. 270 and Cleveland? I work there too. We should arrange a ride-to-work/lunch deal... but that's another thread. Good on getting the parking lot!
  13. I thought this thread was about making sammiches blindfolded.
  14. Congratulations! This is a huge accomplishment!

    My next bike

I thought about posting that last night but saw the 740 number and haven't ridden with some of those Nerk guys. You never know.
  16. At least 2000 through my police-trade sig 229 without any problems. To be honest, I don't keep guns that malfunction. Too much at stake. Guns that have malfunctioned that I've sold include a Ruger 357 blackhawk, buckmark, bushmaster, sks, ppks, Jennings, 2 hi powers, and a Marlin 22.
  17. My Ruger digested anything but my buckmark jammed at least once every 10 rounds. Too bad as it was my fastest, most accurate gun. It was the 5.5 target with the contoured wood grips and shrouded sights. As for Chevy ...... shoot it and see how it does. I used to have the original Beretta Bobcat in 25ACP with the tip up barrel and it was a cool little gun. The slide was tight, so my wife really liked being able to pop a round in the chamber to ready it. She had an opportunity to make the apartment super shit himself when he decided to work on our AC as she got out of the shower one morning.
  18. Humans are the only species that allow social rules to trump our instincts. We have to train our kids and ourselves that it's ok to follow that gut feeling, be impolite, and stay away from the creepy guy. At the end of the day though, these predators are good at what they do. Throw the book at this fuck and may his face be urinated upon and his ass be violated every day in prison.
  19. Keep your wrists and elbows tight and enjoy that uniquely sweet recoil.
  20. They had the 45 version at NASR a few weeks ago. Very cool. Classified as a handgun so you could use it for hunting. I'd use it to show people how cool it is and then its usefulness would be depleted. A 410 version would be pretty sweet though.
  21. Back in my no-kid bachelor days, I used to frequent the Dillon shooting range in zanesville. I took my new SKS out of its sleeve and began plinking away at the target about 50 yards downrange. The more rounds I shot, the more sticky the trigger felt. By about half way through the second clip (yes, clip), it went full auto until the magazine was empty and she fired no more. I've never seen an overweight range officer run faster in my life. Until he figured out that I was speaking the truth, he was convinced I was worthy of a BATF call. After that, it shot no more. I took it to Vances and was working on a trade when I decided to come clean about the condition. The guy at the counter laughed and gave me $60 towards my new gun.... I think it may have been my first G17. Moral of the story.... well, no moral but it was funny at the time.
  22. I bought a full auto sks for $90 in 1995. Of course, it wasn't supposed to be full auto. Was able to sell the parts for $60 after "the incident ".
  23. All very entertaining. But where was the cop and the Indian in that first video?
