    It's an '02. If you listed it today, you wouldn't get $7k, so it looks like a good deal to me (kbb retail is $5k and resale generally doesn't care about mods). I'd buy the salvage bike and take those mods off to use on the replacement bike. Just my opinion, far from an expert here. Sorry about your wreck. Hope you're ok.

    Honestly, I've never disassembled to that degree. I've read that there are a few parts that sit somewhat precariously in there, making hard to reassemble. Others on the board may be more knowledgeable.

    Never been my experience. I do load one short of capacity in case this urban legend has some truth.
