  1. I've bought my last 4 guns from this guy....https://www.keelyarms.com/searchresults.asp?searching=Y&sort=11&cat=1911&show=6&page=4. His pricing is good and he's easy to deal with. As for a 1911 in that price range, I'd go for either the Ruger or Remington. That Night Watchman from Ruger is pretty appealing.

That being said, I am not a 1911 expert by any means. I haven't shot one in probably five years and currently don't own one. Check out Keely Arms though.

  2. I don't remember dates and I'm not looking them up, but I remember there being significant issues with early release Armadas and Titans. It prompted me to get my 2007 F-150 as my first vehicle from the American big 3. I was coming off of a great experience with my Frontier which replaced an excellent Tacoma. Today, I'd go Tundra.

  3. Fwiw..... Anytime someone wants to buy a sub $300ish 9mm, this and the Ruger P series are my go-to. Extremely solid and accurate full-size gun. I had one but gave it to a friend's wife while he was serving in the desert.

  4. But, they don't have balls. They're female. That means they play with other females. Women's soccer is better soccer, anyway. It's far more elegant and far fewer instances of babies throwing hissy fits on the pitch. The women just football. Seldom are there any theatrics, unlike the men's league.

Agree 100%. There were more sandy vaginas on the field during the men's tournament.

  5. The news tried to make a story that the women are complaining for not being paid as much as the men winning the world cup  for being the 50% best human soccer team in the world

I saw that. Pack stadiums and they will be paid accordingly. That's how it works in free countries.

  6. Not ripping on anyone with a stock Ducati...they're awesome machines......but it's amazing that Rossi went from champion to nearly a has-been and back to champion as he's jumped from Yamaha to Ducati and back. I absolutely love watching that guy race.

  7. I shoot recreational trap and skeet. Although not as familiar with NEO, I've shot at the Hill and Dale in Medina (may be private club though...always went with a member), Cardinal shooting Center right off of 71 just south of Mansfield, Airport Lancaster, and I have a membership at Blackwing in Deleware. All these places are automated, so you don't have to bother any staff to pull for you AND you can shoot alone (I generally don't want new friends). As for guns, you want a gun with choke tubes if shooting both trap and skeet. I have dedicated guns, but for recreational purposes, you don't need them. You want a double or auto for skeet. Pump can and has been done well, but I'd recommend against for skeet (pump is fine for trap). I have a beautiful Maple stocked Citori which is ok for trap and skeet, but I much rather use one of my Betetta autos. Also, you think skeet is fun? Try sporting clays!!!!!!!

  8. Thought I'd try a new carry option... I really like the ergos and trigger so far. Let's see how she shoots later.

Post-shooting edit.... This gun is fantastic. Easy to stay on target, DA just pulls right through, and the mag release is incredibly natural. Carries a bit like a G26, but the grip is more sure. This has replaced the CZ PCR for OWB and IWB (non-discrete). PPS still holds the discrete-carry crown.post-12300-0-60011000-1435316580_thumb.j

  9. As for the pocket guns, I find my wife's BG .380 reliable and surprisingly accurate. That being said, my buffet has a .38 snub, PPS, and CZ PCR. The situation dictates which one. I'd get a 642 or 638 before the BG though. And for that $350 price point, I'd rather get a Shield.

  10. I use Avis and have never had an issue. I've probably done 15 rentals this year. Reserve on line. Get an email with my spot. Get in...show my license to the gate dude and off I go. Upon return, I pull up and they check miles and tank and the receipt goes to my email.

  11. So others are aware:

    Scenario:

Reserved car online weeks ago.hertz accepted the bid at $25/day for a full size car.

Show up and there's a long line.

I opt for the skip the line kiosk where You video conference an agent.

Which ended up taking 45 minutes and no sooner then where I was in line since the video person disappeared.

I insert my credit card, hold up my drivers lisence to the camera. She has my reservation number.

I tell her I do not need insurance.

She says you'll have to sign a insurance waiver and its $10/day. I questioned why I have to pay $10/day because I have my own insurance? And told her I'm not pay you $10/day because I don't need your insurance.

She then says they have no full size cars. I said really? I have a reservation? She says I'm sorry sir stay near the desk so you can hear them call your name it will be about 15 minutes. I told her most places bump you up when that happens.

So I wait. 30 minutes go by. 50 people have come and gone with no reservations.

I get on FB and complain on the hertz site. Dude immediately responds. Tells me to pm him reservation number.

15 min later the front desk lady calls my name. She says I'm sorry it didn't come over. I said it's still only $25/day correct, I Dont need your insurance I have my own, no other charges correct? She said yes.

As I'm driving to drop the car back off I notice the paper states insurance waiver accepted. $37/day.

"Insurance waiver" means I pay and im responsible for nothing.

I explain this problem to the guy that checks your car in. He agrees hertz is messed up. I told him to confirm the car is in excellent shape. I took pics.

    Gives me reciept for $80+

I asked him if this is ALL I'm being charged. He says no that's just the insurance. Got managers name and had the catch a shuttle for a plane.

Bastards charged me $280 for something. Called CC company to report fraud getting reversed. Posted on hertz FB again.they asked me to PM them conf. # again.

    I'm just getting started.

FB guy later states I signed for the charges no credit is due. No, I signed a blank screen after your agent confirmed my question and statement which was: it's still only $25/day right? I do NOT need your insurance, and there's no other charges correct? Her Response "yes" then I signed the blank signature screen.

That's some bullshit right there. I'd start a new thread about it so when people use the Googles, it will come up.
