Still for sale? How many could it sleep?

Go to Flagstaff.
Agree. Hiked the desert/hills through there. Fantastic scenery.

How do they get a whale to blow in that bottle?

They have a really nice Diavel Dark on the floor if your looking. ????
Honestly, that Victory is so comfortable, I don't know if I could trade it out.
-
When I was in the market for my new bike 3 years ago, it was between the Rocket III, Diavel, and Cross Roads. The way I was treated and the nature of the deal pushed me to the Victory at The Pony. Great to see you guys moving on that Ducati business.

I'm actually interested in the Kingpin and Eightball. Will those two models be there and can we keep it a secret that I'm looking at a cruiser?
If you miss out, let me know. I'd be happy to let you take mine for a spin....on the down-low of course.

I agree that Ohio has more than it's share of bad drivers, but I think it's more of a big city thing than a state thing. When I travel across the country you can always tell when you get within 10 miles of a big city...traffic speed goes up,much more texting/phone use and territorial lane positioning/cutting people off increases.Just the me,me,me mentality of folks deep in the rat race.
I disagree. It's the country folk in the big city that screw it up. Golly Jim-bob, traffic was fine during rush hour. I just stayed in the left lane and there wasn't a soul in front of me". Quarter-Horse Congress is my favorite time though....all the idiots come to the big city with the trailers. If you don't have a place to be during rush hour, stay out of my city. Please.

Everything works better under a little throttle. Don't use your legs at slow speed, give it a little juice to move it. I was used to mine before I left the IP parking lot when I bought it. That being said, I felt like I want going to dump it trying to move it out of it's space.
Using a floorboard instead of a peg was odd at first, but I can't imagine not having boards now. As said, don't overthink it.

Well choosing from that list, Accord or TDI.
OR lists are created to be disregarded in order to make room for tangent discussions that inevitably end in butthurt.

Don't count yourself out of the Gap. Some ride for the adrenaline....some ride for the scenery. Im not going, but I've been a few rides and haven't felt a bit bad about hanging back and enjoying the view.

I married her cause she agreed no matter what there would be no mini van in one of my garages
The move and selling the bike were my moves. She actually protested me selling the bike. But once I explained that it's mainly to set up my next move for next year, she understood
I joke....kind of. Once kids are in the picture, it all changes. Putting two in car seats, you start loving the idea of sliding van doors. That being said, I've since graduated from the mini-van and haven't looked back.
For a small daily....I would look at a Corolla or Civic. Can't go wrong with either.

New wife...new house....no bike.... Stop lying to yourself. It's time for the Honda Odyssey.

I fill up every time. I take the miles driven and divide by the gallons filled. Sure, there may be a small deviation if a particular pump doesn't top off as well as another, but pretty consistent for the most part. My bike gets about 38-40 (my FZ6 consistently got 50). My Pilot about 19.

- Emission standards lower MPG as vehicles must run very lean to pass. Lean running doesn't result in max MPG.
- Your Sentra or Tercel would never pass today's collision tests. Vehicles need to be built heavier and stronger, which of course lowers MPG.
- I believe the calculations/process used to measure MPG have also changed.
Thank you. As for your third point though, I haven't changed the way I do it.
-
My '94 Sentra consistently got 42-44MPG. Wife's '89 Tercel got a bit better than that. So what did we do to screw up our cars so 28 is considered great now? I think the Prius only gets like 48-50.

Honestly, I'd rather have my old Nighthawk 250 back.

I don't know if I'd trade the one I have, but I wouldn't trade it for anything else either. That being said, if the range was decent, I'd buy one.

I can't edit my post, Pokey.
I haven't ridden the new model. I imagine it's better than the last, which isn't bad as it is. Seems to be the way it goes and that's the main reason I haven't ridden the 2010+ Multistradas, either. I KNOW they're leaps and bounds better than my bike.
I just like busting on you because you love that thing so much. I get it, man. My bike is ugly as sin and just turns all the right knobs for me. I do love this bike, and the fact that it's a Ducati is the least of its attributes. Truth be told, while I do enjoy riding this machine, I should have just kept my FZ6 and upgraded the suspension. It was also an awesome bike. No frills. No whistles or bells. Just simple reliability, comfort and go, go, go. My Multistrada is the same way, just with more expensive shit to service. It really has never let me down, mechanically. The only failure it's had thus far is a leaky fork at 15k miles. Meh... at least it isn't a VFR. Great bikes, so long as you don't care about charging your battery while you're riding.
Agreed on the FZ6. They are fantastic do-alls. Wish I would have kept it and had 2 bikes.

Welcome! What brings you to Oxford?

Have a great time! But seriously...be careful in the New York/Jersey/DC Metro areas. Be aggressive and almost predatory with your riding.
Edit...you're not going through DC I see. Your route looks pretty relaxing actually.

Everything between VA and Maine can blow me.

How did 22 police officers arrest 170 so called gang members? They just stand around and wait to be arrested?
My thought too. I've seen enough SOA to know that high speed Harley chases are quite common.
