  1. Update... I've really enjoyed this thing this winter. Although more mild than last year, I've had it out just short of about a dozen times. It's taken my 1.5 hour shoveling job down to about 25 minutes. Was really nice last month when it was that real heavy wet snow.

  2. It's certainly a difficult question. I reiterate....vaccines are absolutely necessary....only an irresponsible dipshit would advocate against.... But to what end? I refuse and the BATFV breaks down my door, holds my kids down, and injects them? What does "mandate" mean? To what end? You're absolutely right...do we then ban from air travel? Public spaces? Put a red "V" on all of their clothing? I really get uncomfortable with mandates. It pushes further from freedom. In the meantime, I'm vaccinated, my kids are vaccinated, and we don't have any contact with my wife's hippy cousins who don't.

  3. I'm not in favor of government mandating immunizations. Your body, your choice. However, I'm in favor of requirements for admission so-to-speak. Don't want to immunize? Great, you're an idiot, but great. However, you want to go to government run school? Immunizations mandatory. Welfare? Mandatory. And you are civily liable for spread if can be traced back.

  4. Made a switch back to Glock today. I've been struggling for the perfect EDC (not fooling myself into thinking I've found it). I love my CZ PCR, but it does get heavy and is less desirable for those situations which require more discretion. That will remain my #2. I used to carry the 642 everywhere until I was shone the light "no one ever survived a gunfight and said 'I wish I didn't have so much ammo left over'". I recently found a PPS (round 2 of course)....shoots great and conceals like a champ, but is limited to 7+1 in the configuration I like best...I will likely get another some day. But alas, those pesky instructor voices talking about capacity... So today, I found my way back to the Glock 26 (fourth in five years on top of 3 G19s....all gone.) It's a Gen 3, which I do find comfortable. I've got 11 in the gun and two G-19 mags as back-up. Very comfortable to carry OWB (fits in my PPS Sidewinder) and I have a Supertuck and Sidewinder ordered now. Lesson of the day....do what you want with your guns, but don't sell all your shit that goes with them.

  5. A constitution is akin to the skeletal structure of the human body. The fat, muscle, tissue can change over time, but it takes a deliberate and forceful act to change bone structure. I believe that was the intent of the framers as a whole, individual dissent aside.

  6. Funny... however, many founding fathers, most notably jefferson never intended for their laws to outlive them. They felt each generation should be free to rewrite their own laws, pass their own amendments. Most clearly stated as such.

"Every constitution, then, and every law, naturally expires at the end of nineteen years. If it be enforced longer, it is an act of force, and not of right."

You would think they would have made constitutional changes more fluid and easier to accomplish then. Apparently there was disagreement among the ranks...assuming you're not full of shit.

  7. Went & saw it tonight. Thought that it was a very well made movie. but as I left the show, what was going through my mind were three or four questions....who was the marine that shot him...what was his motive for the shooting...what happened to him ....and finally, did that episode of his shooting the other sniper actually take place as portrayed in the movie.

No, he didn't kill Mustafa. He wrote that there was an enemy sniper called "Mustafa" and he was rumored to be an Olympian. He wrote that he had heard that he was killed at some point.

  8. If this movie was done "by the book", it would have been a series of events rather than a story line. It would not have made a good movie whatsoever. A documentary, yes. They were able to incorporate many important events and themes, albeit, out of context in some cases, by following a fictional story line. If I recall from the book, his first kill was woman/child with the grenade....I'm not going to research to verify.
