They should have honored their price and then charged what they wanted once the list was satisfied. Bait and Switch gets you no where in the long-term. These guys had me driving from Columbus right past Vances, NASR, Buckeye, Gander, to go to Coshocton. They have no idea about what It takes to run a business against major players. Illegal? No. Bad business? Yep. The right thing is always the right thing. Had they not committed to a price for loyal customers willing to forgo other shopping for an entire year, gouge away.

If the shtf and there was a gun store that had been entirely looted except for a $1000 Kimber and a $500 Glock/M&P/XD along with one box of cheap .45 ammo, which would you grab to start shooting zombies? Personally, I'd prefer not to go through a "break-in" period. "Break-in period" is a term used by guys who just paid way too much for an unreliable firearm. Just my humble opinion. I'll have another 1911 some day, but won't stake my life on it.

Shooting 15 rounds through the same hole with my G19 creates a vortex which then sucks my target through a wormhole of sorts. No proof at this time. Good shooting!

Obviously, I poke a little fun. It's the Christmas 12-year maybe. Things are, indeed, simmering right now. You can feel it. I've taken more new shooters for their first range session in the past three months than in the previous 3 years. What is a SHTF scenario? Jagr puts perspective on many of these threads. Man, I can't imagine. Thank you for volunteering for something that I lacked the commitment and balls to do. What is a SHTF scenario to most of us? Global zombie apocalypse? Global financial collapse? Perhaps. But, those are lofty scenarios. What is SHTF to a resident or ex-pat of New Orleans? How about 1990s Los Angeles? Most of us watched it unfold on the 6:00 news. Reginald Denny had his SHTF moment. Would he have benefitted from 15 in the mag? I tease. But nestled neatly between the near east side of Columbus and Whitehall, could an LA scenario unfold that would affect me?

I had a nice email volley with the folks that put on the one at the FC fairgrounds. He was very respectful (as was I), but wrote that the insurance companies will not insure them if loaded weapons are allowed. Too many people unholstering their CCWs for trade opportunities. It initially torqued me, but I'm over it. Almost.

I actually had a great response a few years back. Elderly guy was having diabetic issues. He didn't even know he was driving. Marion police were responsive and grateful. 2 weeks ago, though, they really appeared to be annoyed by the call and looked to have made no attempt. I don't hang out across from bars to rat people out. But obvious impairment on a freeway warrants the call...IMO.

Make sure you disarm before exercising your 2nd amendment rights. Loaded CCWs are prohibited.
