  1. I visit different private events at Mid-Ohio and have never paid a gate fee. NESBA advertises that none of their events have gate fees. It's nice to have people stop by and visit and not hit them up for $10 apiece. It's also like a cover charge at a bar - I'm a paying customer and you have to get me for a few more bucks at the door? Paying that bothers me, though paying $5 for a Bud Light does not. P.S. When I was racing SCCA entry fees included not only myself but 3 or 4 people on a "crew list." Not only did they not have to pay, but they got to feel special because they could tell the guy at the gate that they were "on the list".

There is no firing pin spring in that platform.

McDoggy, if you want to go the beginner safety course route, Blackwing has a class most Wednesdays that provides a .22LR pistol (your "XR100") and ammo for $75. http://www.blackwingsc.com/training/handgun_courses.php
  4. Sorry for the delay man, I looked at the 03 manual and it's the same. edit - and now I see the 8 other posts between then and now.
  5. But based on what you've found I'm guessing it's the same.
  6. On the 07 there is no thermoswitch, the fan relay is ECU controlled.

    2014 Impala

    Wow, a full-size FWD V6/I4 platform.
  8. Don't get me wrong, Brandon comes off looking like the biggest douche of all in this, I just wanted to point out that other than him, what is going on "over there" is really no different/worse than what is going on "over here." No need to start some e-gang wars. This is one of those things I wish I had never commented on, but after the amount of time I had invested/wasted in reading, I felt entitled to.
  9. This shit is lame. I don't know why I read both threads. I just wanted to point out the fact that based on number of posts and people involved, there seem to be proportionally more intelligent people over there. I found two:
  10. In service they make the customers bend over and grab their ankles. Perfect position for all the :sheepfucker: on here.
  11. I failed miserably the one day I tried it.
  12. Holly phuck man - have you ever had one off before? You don't drive the punch into the hole, you just use the hole as an edge to tap the cap off in the axial direction. Never had one stuck before, you don't even need it in the vise. Just tap-tap-tap-a-roo, a little on each side, just walk it out. Use a metal hammer, it'll help.
  13. Well that was another $20 lesson in probability...
  14. When I sold both my bikes last year part of my rationalization was, "I can always just rent a KTM at Midohio."
  15. Way back when I had a three-month car racing career where I listed Visa and Mastercard as my sponsors on the entry forms. Took me two years to pay that off after I realized it wasn't sustainable.
  16. "I saw the camera and just had to lay 'er down."
  17. I had that in my wrist from golfing when I was in high school. I went to a doctor demanding surgery, he said the rehab wasn't worth it, and told me to break it myself. He said something like, "I can lance it for you if you want, but the nurse just slams hers in the toilet seat." I think I used to pop it internally by pressing on it really hard. I quit golfing and it went away - it was a repetitive-motion type thing.
  18. Run water. Water cools better than any glycol mixture. Use distilled water. Water Wetter is an additive that provides corrosion protection and lubricates water pump seals. Add 1oz per quart. Flush the cooling system with water 2-3 times to get all the antifreeze out in the spring. Add 50% coolant in the winter for cold storage or use.
  19. Looking for dealer-types that pay cash for used bikes, like CarMax-style or something. Any places do this on a regular basis? If so, can one expect a blue book trade-in value or some percentage thereof? Have a friend that wants to part with a bike for funds toward a new car, but doesn't want to deal with the hassle of private sale.
